when companies outsource their customer service and technical teams overseas. The people in stores are good, but even they have to use the same system. I had the technician come out and set up the internet and I called Vodaphone customer support to do the back end stuff, activate the account and provision my service. They started the billing part, havent sorted my issues or the provision my service part either.
From the first call they couldnt help me at the time and said they would call me back within a couple of days. This is where it has started. No one ever calls me back, I cant ever speak to the technical team who are supposedly sorting things but nothing ever happens. I call every couple of days and every time they start a new ticket, they promise to call me back, that the technical team will sort and call you back, this never ever happens. I called tonight and found out the technical team did their stuff and reported back that the internet is working and closed the task. They never spoke to me, never called me to discuss my issue and never do?? Over 2 weeks ago someone said they will send out a technician. They told me someone would come out within 2 days and they would contact me. This never happened. I called them back only for someone else to tell me oh you dont need a technician to come to your property but we are escalating the problem to the technical team and someone will call you back within 24-48 hours. 2 days later I call them again and they said we cant speak to anyone, but once again they start a new ticket and say its been escalated AGAIN.
They promise to call back, promise another team will sort and call me back but this NEVER EVER happens. They are a joke, the most unprofessional company I have EVER had dealings with in my life. Oh to top it off, I was supposed to get a month free upfront but I have already been sent a bill despite not having a useable internet service. If you dont want to be taken for a ride and stuffed around by them find another service. There are so many better options. The funny part is there are others in my building with a working Vodaphone service???
Had a perfectly working opticomm service with Origin before attempting to switch. I honestly don’t think they are actually set up properly with opticomm and shouldn’t be advertising this service. Vodafone provided terrible communication of opticomm set up issues. Long wait times - up to 1.5hrs on hold. Call back service rings once, so you can’t… Read more
answer and have to go on hold to chase updates. Say they have tried to contact you, when they haven’t (no SMS or missed calls). When you actually complain about service, they don’t listen and give you scripted responses.
After 2 weeks I gave up trying to get an opticomm service activated. Trying to cancel the order was also a hassle and took them 5 days to do so.

Vodafone is delivering its worst-ever service in the ACT, an absolute disgrace. There is zero direct support from the customer centre to fix the ongoing Vision Max network issues. Instead, their rep does the bare minimum: raises a ticket and tells you someone from the Vision Max "team" will call you back. If you’re lucky enough to actually pick up… Read more
that call, you’ll get some scripted person overseas who tells you to restart your modem and devices multiple times like it’s 2005, before eventually “escalating” it with zero timeline, zero ownership, and zero accountability. Complete incompetence from start to finish. Avoid Vodafone in the ACT if you value reliable internet.

Switched to their Vision Network just two weeks ago, and now the internet is down — something that never happened with my previous providers. I contacted support and was told the Vision Team would need 24–48 hours to carry out checks on the "wiring" before they could provide an update. What I don't understand is that the connection was working… Read more
perfectly an hour earlier and then suddenly stopped. If the service was fine moments before, what could possibly take 24–48 hours to investigate?
As someone who works from home, this is a nightmare scenario. Their fallback 4G connection is intermittent and running at 0.3 Mbps, making it effectively unusable.
My advice: stay away. Unreliable service, poor communication, and disappointing support.

Disappoints daily... it seems like the problem has gotten worse since leaving a review here, almost as if Vodafone have shaped my 100mbps 5G internet that I pay full price for. 6MBPS Download and 0.93MBPS uploads, laughable. I've signed up for the 5G Home plan with 100 Mbps speed, but half the time I get around 50 Mbps, and the other half it's only 20 Mbps. This is clearly unacceptable and frustrating. It seems like Vodafone is deceiving its customers. NO, I WON'T RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE TO ANYONE. Show details

Awesome service by Vodafone! Quick and reliable experience. They also provide you with 4g backup with their modem and excellent speeds. Proud to switch to Vodafone from AGL. Show details
Extremely slow internet & very unreliable – I reluctantly gave Vodafone a chance at NBN after i was burnt with their terrible phone reception years back. I was hesitant that all their phone operators were Indian as in my experience, when there is an Indian operation the service takes a dive. This is not a racist rant, but an honest & accurate observation (think Godfrey's or your local post… Read more
office as an example). Anyway, after the initial & painful setup, the speeds we were promised (800/40) were no faster than our previous supplier of 100/24. A Speedtest also clarified this. We rang many times over the past 5 months we've been with them. The calls are always too lengthy & never resolves the problem. they blamed the modem, so i purchased a new late model one with no improvement whatsoever. How they are allowed to sell a false product and stay in business is beyond me. See attached speedtest result taken a few hours ago, just before i made the switch to an Aussie provider. What an absolute joke.
Finally today i was wise enough to switch to an Aussie run company. It was simple. Up & running within 30 mins and the speed is 5x that of vodafone for about $12 less. I used the same modem, same port, same cords etc. Nothing changed but the provider. The results speak for themselves. Shame on Vodafone. A company that big you would think would be way ahead of the game. Don't waste your money. Look at the attached speed test result at a tiny fraction of the speed they were selling me.

is the back end at fault. Highly articulate consultants who are very good at apologising profusely and who say they understand my frustration. But nothing happens. I have filed 3 formal complaints via Voda's website and that is a waste of time too. I had issues when I signed up to Voda NBN last year (delays in connecting). I really question the value proposition of the firm.

cancelled. Then confusion reigned for the next 90 minutes or so of being passed to 2 further call centres. The staff seemed confused and contradicted themselves constantly. Each time I was dumped on another person I would have to retell my story. It then occurred to me that if they were this bad onboarding me, what on earth would they be like resolving a proper issue. Too risky to trust going any further. Ended up having to take the modem to a Vodafone store myself.

Have been with Vodafone for over 8 years (phone + sim). Decided to go with them for my NBN in my new home (regional VIC) and so far I have not been disappointed. I’ve been consistently getting over 100mbps during the day (most competitors I’ve looked into advertise “up to 100”) and over 500mbps off peak. Won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon.
Top notch service – I’m not even a Vodafone customer but I went into the store in Acland street to ask about phones.. Maggie was absolutely INCREDIBLE.. I have made a big mistake of moving my opticom broadband to Vodafone from Superloop. They moved my service in the night time and their technical support couldn't setup my wifi modem, Tenda. Akash, couldn't care less if I got internet or not. He just kept telling me to speak with the manufacturer support. This was the same wifi modem which I have always used. Apparently he has been working for past 5 years and he knows everything and he hasn't seen anything like my modem setup page LOL. I have told him that I can't go back and forth with calling many companies for setting up this annoying internet service! This guy was telling me that I should have chosen to use their modem. Well, I am not running a wifi modem shop to stack up wifi modems everytime I take up a new service. I have ended up going back to superloop and it was configured in 10 seconds.

work. So I jump to support, they confirm app is wrong. I ask for email confirming this in which case I’m denied, I then ask for a copy of transcript in which case I’m forced to print out and fill in a form to get this which is where issues with privacy start ticking in, then I ring cx and to my surprise cancel a plan seems to get me straight through to someone. Shocker! I raise with them the issue, they confirm it’s an app error and I’ll get a discount, they won’t put this in writing and won’t send me my transcript. So I req to speak with tl, after much back and fourth and two hang ups, I get a hold of tl, tl doesn’t have email either, won’t put anything in writing and reiterates same point. I ask him to canx my plan, tl then says that’ll take 24 hrs, I then say how will i know it’s been cancelled, I want it in writing as I’m raising with OAIC and TIO as we speak and need a paper trail and he says when it’s canx someone will call me to confirm canx. This is unacceptable! Don’t use Vodafone, price increases every year, then forcing you off a plan, then on top of that no written communication despite initial promise, app shows wrong pricing.
