Excellent price and service. Ordered a Seiko watch midday Friday. Order was confirmed and despatched within a couple of hours. Official Seiko warranty was also sent by email. Watch (genuine, with box and tags) was received on the following Wednesday (5 days delivery overall). Based on this performance, I highly recommend Watch Depot as a reliable and professional retailer of genuine Seiko watches. Show details

Honestly, I don't really know where to start with this one, but I feel like others should know before they order something meaningful from here. I bought a watch as a birthday present, over $400, and it just... never showed up. Australia Post's system says it was signed for, but I wasn't even home at the time of delivery - I had GPS proof and… Read more

everything. I sent it through, genuinely expecting someone to look into it properly. Instead the case just got closed the second a signature appeared, like that was the end of the conversation. (Mind you, it wasn’t even my signature, just the name on the package).

The worst part honestly wasn't even the money, it’s how much I needed to chase them up for an outcome and how dismissive they were. They didn’t push back at all on AusPost. There was a point where I was told a replacement might be sorted once Australia Post confirmed things - so I actually held onto a bit of hope for a while. When it didn't happen, it just felt like a letdown on top of a letdown.

I keep coming back to the fact that this was $400+, gone, with basically no explanation I could accept. That's not nothing. It's genuinely stung more than I expected it to.

I've ended up having to take it further with consumer protection bodies, which isn't something I wanted to do, but I felt like I'd run out of other options. If you're thinking about buying something here, especially anything of real value, I'd just be careful.

Bought a Casio G-Shock here in Feb 2026, a watch that's sold on being tough and shock resistant. Just over three months later the resin case snapped at the lug during normal wear. The case and bezel were pristine, no impact marks anywhere. I reported it straight away. At first Watch Depot told me their own team would assess it and sort out a… Read more

resolution. Then once they actually had the watch in hand, they changed their tune and pushed the whole thing onto a Casio warranty assessment, quoting 6 to 8 weeks with no outcome until August. The frustrating part is that under Australian Consumer Law the retailer is the one responsible for acceptable quality, and that doesn't just disappear because they've sent it off to the manufacturer. The change in position and the delay left a bad taste. It's now with NSW Fair Trading.

I ordered and received the bulova racer 42mm 98b428. After checking the watch to make sure it was as shown and described on watch depots website. I noticed the black leather strap was not black. It was dark brown. I emailed their online service team who responded by stating, "we have checked our stock, and the leather band is black as described.… Read more

However, we’ve noticed that under certain lighting conditions, particularly in bright or outdoor light, the strap can appear as dark brown, while in indoor lighting it appears black. The difference in colour is a result of the leather’s natural finish, which can appear lighter or warmer in bright light." After checking the watch out under every light possible I came up with the same conclusion, the leather strap is dark brown. The perforated holes in the strap should be be tanned black. However the holes have been left with it's natiral tan finish. So I emailed them a bunch of photos which show its dark brown. They have now asked me to return the watch to have it further assessed. In my opinion the watch has the incorrect strap on it. Whether it is a mistake from the factory or something more sinister, I couldn't tell you. But overall, it has not been a good experience. Sorry watch depot but I have to call it as I see it. UPDATE Since my original review, Watch Depot have gone out of their way to resolve the problem and I can now see that the leather strap problem was not of their doing rather an issue created by the manufacturer, citizen bulova. Thanks very much for your understanding and help.

Ordered a Seiko Presage for my son’s 18th Birthday. Fantastic price (with a sign up coupon used as well) watch was beautiful and he loves it. But I’ve got to say, the shipping time was AMAZING! I ordered on a Wednesday morning and it was delivered only 2 days later on the Friday. Unbelievable! We would highly recommend this company and will be back in the future!

★☆☆☆☆ My experience with Watch Depot has been the most frustrating retail experience I've ever had. I purchased a Seiko watch for my son, only to have it repeatedly fail to keep time. The watch was sent away for repair twice, with each repair taking weeks. Despite this, the problem continued. In the short time we owned the watch, it spent more… Read more

time being repaired than on my son's wrist. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of customer-focused service. Rather than replacing or refunding a clearly faulty product after multiple failed repair attempts, I was repeatedly asked to send it away again and again. It took countless emails, phone calls, and eventually involvement from Consumer Affairs before a refund was finally issued. A refund should never have required this level of effort. The amount of time, stress, and frustration involved was completely unacceptable. While I have now received my refund, the experience has permanently damaged my confidence in Watch Depot and Sheils. I will never purchase from either business again and would not recommend them to anyone. If you're considering buying a watch from this company, I suggest carefully considering how warranty issues may be handled if something goes wrong.

Reliable and trustworthy, generally. It is owned by the owner of Shiel's - one of the biggest chains of watches and jewellery shops (i.e. with physical presence everywhere in Australia). Prices are ok, and generally lower than those in Shiel's shops, because Watch Depot does not have physical shops that would otherwise be costly to run. Yet,… Read more

prices at Watch Depot are not competitive compared with other legitimate online watch / jewellery shops in Australia. Once I asked Watch Depot to match it's own price - to match the price of one 'colour' of a watch model to the prices of other 'colours' of the very same model (why the 'colours' with stainless steel bracelets were cheaper than the 'colour' with a leather strap?). In reply, Watch Depot said it could not match. At the same time, it just raised the prices of the ones with steel bracelets to the same price of the one with leather strap. That was a bit dodgy, I think. That also made me feel disappointed because I am a frequent customer of both Shiel's and Watch Depot.

BUYER BEWARE : I Feel very deceived by this so called honest business . I’ve just experienced a really frustrating and extremely disappointing experience with Watch Depot . purchased a Seiko watch for a Christmas present for my husband . I ordered another of the same watch in full black from another website as I couldn’t decide and Watch Depot didn’t have this same black watch on sale at anywhere near the price i got it for . I did everything possible to ensure should either watch not be suitable or liked by my husband we could return either .Unfortunately what I did overlook was that this particular model of watch was automatic making it not a suitable watch for a wearer who isn’t going to be wearing it 7 days of the week . So I began the procedure of making a return of them both immediately after Christmas. The black watch was promptly refunded by the other seller without any issues but I didn’t hear anything from Watch Depot. As I was planning to make contact I received a very distressing email stating that they would not be refunding me as the watch appeared to be worn and had damage ( they sent a photo of fine scratches on one side of the case . I immediately responded stating the watch was not even tried on as my husband googled more info on the function of an automatic watch which they had omitted in telling me when I had enquired! It just wasn’t suitable so there was no need to even try it on . I also explained I had returned this watch in its same condition I received it , In the box with all the stickers still perfectly intact on both the strap and the face . The tags were still attached and all documents were in place just as I received it . How could my husband have possibly worn a watch with stickers all over it ! It was evident the stickers had not been tampered with or removed ! I explained emphatically that the watch was not the style of movement that would suit my husband’s needs as he couldn’t wear it during the week for his work . He hasn’t even tried it on as we looked up what an automatic watch movement actually entailed it wasn’t suitable . They have responded not wanting to talk with me over the phone simply making it a drawn out process of emails . I’m totally gutted to be being held accountable for damage they deemed was my doing either by accident or deliberately , that fact is irrelevant. This watch cost me $546 which is now a waste of money . I can’t emphasise enough DON’T BUY FROM WATCH DEPOT . If you have any issues and want to return the watch they will respond saying it’s damaged and reduce a refund . The girl I was dealing with said she examined it but I tried to tell her how could she prove no one else handled the watch on delivery back to them or was it in fact ever inspected by SEIKO as she seems to think !

Regardless if I had inspected the watch fully or not prior to returning it seems unless I had photos of it before the return I can’t prove my innocence and they know this . It wouldn’t surprise me at all that this excuse to refuse a refund is a standard practice. I feel really ripped off and will go out of my way to warn other unsuspecting people not to risk spending a fortune on a watch if you haven’t got the certainty they will honour a return ! It’s a case of my word against theirs . I’m looking into where I stand legally as I feel totally ripped off by them .. In the meantime I can hopefully save others from having the same ordeal with them !

If I can give them zero I will surely do… I bought a G- Shock in October 2024 for 975 bucks… in less than one year it stopped working after I went for swimming… I sent it back as it was still under warranty.. they sent the watch to Casio for assessment and after 6 weeks waiting they want to charge me 586 bucks for repairs !!! Total scam and rip off!!! Avoid these people

Ordered a watch , when it turned up didn't work . Returned it was told it would be assessed ? Then was told ( email) it would be repaired them returned? Why not just replace it with a new working one .After a couple of weeks, I asked for a refund. Then it was finally returned (the watch) ..It was a situation that was dragged out and patronising. Use Watch Depot with caution.

Misleading business practices. Ordered a watch from their website (www.watchdepot.com.au) on 25/06/2025, which was clearly showing in stock. business accept an order if they don't have stock of a product? unless the business is simply fishing for people's personal info by promoting "$25 off on the first order", or they simply wanted to fill up their order bank due to EOFY, despite knowing that they do not have stock to fulfill the orders. Surprisingly good phone support! – Had to go out of my way to write this review. Usually I'm not one to review anything, but these guys deserve the mention. Trying to remain as unbiased as possible, I ordered a watch at the end of November that had not arrived by mid December. Being a Christmas present, I began to panick, so I reached out. While communication wasn't initially too… Read more

great through their email support portal, I gave them a call, and "wow" is all I can say. While the order wasn't dispatched until the 19th of December, about 3 business days before Christmas, they went above and beyond with my order to ensure I got it before Christmas.

I recieved my order the following day (Friday 20th of Dec) through express post (which they upgraded for me based on goodwill). This package came interstate too!

The reason for delay was acceptable also, they provided me with an in-depth explanation over the phone, as well as a perfectly reasonable ETA - From my understanding, a quality issue with the initial watch they were sent from their supplier caused them to have to source another product (and the item was on clearance too. Another bonus since I did not expect them to be able to fulfil the order in that case).

They even offered me a full refund or alternate item 'swap' several times (which they were adamant would dispatch almost immediately), to which I politely declined as my particular order was to meet a specific niche, and I had faith that they would fulfil my original order, to which they complied.

The item was packaged nicely and in complete working order, and the package even included a $20 discount coupon for future use.

I have since used the coupon on a second order, and will definitely buy from them again. While the initial delay intially caused question, their over-the-phone customer support and despute resolution was more than brilliant. 5 stars.

PSA: For anyone questioning pricing or legitimacy, many 'grey' market dealers lower the cost of their watches through their partnerships with front facing jewelers, and sell unwanted, untouched or 'old' stock. Their lower margins are attributed to the fact they do not need to store or display the watches in a storefront, helping lower the cost. In this case, Watch Depot is based out of Adelaide, South Australia, and partners with Shiels. And yes, the watch came with a one year Seiko digital international warranty.

Dodgy deals, Unethical business practices – Watch Depot is typical of so called 'businesses' that hide as far away as they can from their customers. E-mail only! visible signs of this. Their response also clearly demonstrates that they didn't want to dispute my claims but instead offer a totally impractical unfair solution which only benefits them. Very positive review – I recently purchased two watches from watchdepot.com.au: a Seiko Presage SRPB3J and a Q Timex Chronograph. trying to find at a reasonable price for some time. Typically, this watch sells for over $650, but I snagged it for just $377, and to top it off, it was delivered within four days.

Despite some reviews claiming that the watches were used or of dubious quality, I can confidently say that's not true. As a Seiko enthusiast with a few in my collection, I can easily spot a fake, and this is the real deal. I even received the warranty information in advance. Some reviews mentioned issues with the watches stopping or needing frequent time resets, but those are common traits of automatic Seikos—anyone familiar with these watches would know that.

There were also comments about poor customer service, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I needed to update my order, and they handled it promptly within hours. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with both the service and the products, and I wouldn't hesitate to shop with Watch Depot again.

When things go bad you still got to be nice to people on the other side. If you are I am sure they will go to great lengths to help you resolve your issue.

Buy elsewhere – I wish i would have read the negative reviews on here before purchasing from watch depot. I got a seiko presage automatic watch. The watch pretty much stops ticking within hours after taking it of my wrist. These guys are clowns, just go to david jones or myers. Think about this, there is a reason their prices are so cheap. I would go as far and say that there watches are not authentic.

My experience is not good – I purchased a watch from this company, and the first time I wore it, it scratched my hand badly, causing it to bleed. staff." While I understand their concern for hygiene, they neglected to include any warning about the necessity of handling the watch carefully in their packaging. Had they provided this information at the time of purchase, I would not have bought it in the first place. Now, I'm stuck with a watch I can't use because who wants to risk injuring their hand every time they put on a watch, especially when in a hurry?
