One complaint – Working well. Only 1 problem, using the 2 outside burners the temperature doesn’t go above 190-200 C.......need more heat to start cooking roast pork. I was told at the time of purchase I could cook this way.....directly on the grill no need for trays to protect from the middle burner  Show details

Top value from a brand you can trust – A must have for someone wanting to get started with barbequing and only has a smallish space to put one such as a balcony. These grills get very hot so no worries searing a nice steak, also decent for a bit of low and slow with a smoker box so plenty of options to suit every occasion. Weber's after sales support is second to none which is the icing on the cake.  Show details

BBQ that does the job well – I am no bbq officianado by any means (this is my first bbq with a lid and oh what a difference) but I have been cooking food on this that has a great bbq taste. Easy to use, and clean, which is the most important aspect. I have burnt most of my steaks unfortunately but that is my fault. I got one rib eye fillet a perfect medium rare and oh my… Read more

god that was great. The cooking manual section on steaks seems to have the times for cooking far too high or I am interpreting wrong but I am getting better after going my own way on that.

I am only 6 months in so cannot say about durability in the future, which is the quality you pay extra for with these, but so far all looks very solid.

Highly recommend the vegetable basket (the deep one). Chop vegies into small pieces, oil and spice and so easy to make a delicious vege mix!

Great BBQ, wouldn't change it! – This BBQ is amazing and my wife and I wouldn't change it for the world. Great heat and cooks the meat perfectly. BBQ's are never easy to clean, but this one is OK. Fairly small BBQ but perfect cooking surface for our needs and is super reliable. LOVE IT and will tell everyone to get one!  Show details ·  1

This is the Best BBQ I have Ever Used - I'm Glad its Mine! – This is the best BBQ I have ever used and I'm very happy with this purchase. Previously we had a 4 burner hooded 'CookOn' which we looked after carefully for many years, and it performed very well. We would still have it excepting that we remodelled our outdoor area and decided to upgrade our BBQ. I had previous good experience of using a… Read more ·  1

forerunner to the Weber Spirit at a condominium in the US that we rented a few times and I remained very impressed. At that time that model was not sold here. Before deciding to buy a Weber Spirit I did my research to ensure we chose the best BBQ for us - I read product reviews and made enquiries among retailers and I was soon convinced that we should buy a Weber Spirit. We have had it almost 12 months and we have it plumbed into our Mains Gas (as was the 'CookOn'). Because its plumbed into Mains Gas Weber delivered and installed the BBQ. We use it exactly as instructed in the Weber Manual and on the CD they supply with it. I have been a fan of American BBQ and Smoking for many years and I use our Spirit as do the Americans - ie with griddle bars and no hot plate. A hot plate is supplied for the Australian market, but for us it's a waste. The Weber Spirit is a 3 burner BBQ but its cooking surface is as great I believe as my old 4 burner, and it gets a lot hotter which is great for cooking steaks. In 10 minutes the Spirit will reach 250 degrees Centigrade - excellent. We have cooked many excellent steaks. In the Manual Weber recommends trimming lamb chops of fat as the heat of this BBQ will cause a lot of flare up if the chops are too fatty. So we trim our lamb chops and they cook beautifully. The controls allow slow cooking as well. The burners are stainless steel and the build quality overall is excellent. I like the operation of the fat drip tray because I have found it to be a no mess way of getting rid of cooking fat. The igniter works excellently. There are no negatives for me with this product. I've had and used a lot of BBQ's over my lifetime, but this is easily the best.

All good with my Weber Spirit – My new webber spirit heats up to 250c in about 5 min. Cooked a turkey and roast pork at the same time and they came out full of juice and flavour in under the recommended time. Steak is also great on the hot plate with the top down. I've been BBQ ing for forty years and its all good with me.  Show details ·  1

I like it alot! – Easy to light. Heats up quick in about 5 min. Thermometer at front confirms when ready. Easy to use; just plonk the meat on in no particular fashion, close the lid, come back in a few minutes flip the meat cook a bit more and come back to collect. So far, it has cooked perfectly every time. To clean, I leave it on a few minutes after I take… Read more ·  3

the meat off, then come back & turn it off and give the grill a quick scrub with the Webber steel brush.

What I really like is that I don't have to stand there and keep moving the food around the grill.

I put up with lousy 4 burner beef-master for years and now I see it was hopeless: The meat in some spots would burn, and at the front it would hardly cook at all. If we had people over for a big BBQ session I would have to commit myself to managing the meat on the BBQ and working around the inevitable flames, rather than enjoying the company. And when I finally sat down to eat, my fingers were singed & I would be covered in grease. My Webber let's me enjoy the party and the BBQ-ing. I am looking forward to trying out their buffalo wings recipe.

I paid extra for the natural gas change-over kit, but to my surprise it included assembly of the whole BBQ too. Sweet! BBQ's are notoriously hard to assemble. I don't know about the Webber, but the beef master nearly broke me all those years ago so I was chuffed to come home and see my newly delivered barby all done and ready.

It also included a spare solid hot plate which I have not needed to use yet and some cleaning spray.

By the way I still have a small Webber kettle BBQ that I bought in 1992. Still going well with occasional use.

Worst Weber EVER!!! – I have owned and successfully used Weber bbq's for the past 20 odd years and have had great success with the two I have owned, the last a Q220. But this Weber Spirit would have to be the worst I have ever used. It's a Chinese built heap of rubbish that Weber should be ashamed of putting their name on. It takes an eternity to heat up to any sort of… Read more

heat, then when you open the lid to start your cooking, probably 80 percent of the heat is lost and your basically broiling what your cooking. Steaks don't char or brown and chicken never looks like its cooked. It's a pity Weber decided to produce (and I'll use a word I hope don't offend) crap like this. If I hadn't of spent so much on this bbq I would put it out at the next council cleanup and buy another Weber Q, even though they are probably also made in China, it's design is such that it cooks way, way better and tastier.
