the airline instead of taking any responsibility.

There was no clear support, no ownership of the issue, and no real effort to help resolve the situation. It felt like we were being pushed around with no one willing to actually assist.

Extremely disappointing experience. I strongly recommend booking directly with airlines instead of going through them.

claimed they couldn’t make changes because their system wasn’t updated. Later, they said cancellation wasn’t possible and only rescheduling could be done. Despite repeated follow-ups, no clear answer was given until less than 48 hours before my return flight from Cairo.

At that point, they quoted a ridiculous $7000 to change the ticket — while the same flight could be purchased online for $700. This is completely unreasonable and shows a lack of transparency and support.

On top of that, every call or chat involves waiting for at least 1–2 hours.

Very poor customer service. Once they have your money, you are completely on your own. I would not recommend Webjet to anyone.

I booked a return flight from Sunshine Coast to Cairns and four nights accommodation at Rydges Hotel, cairns, through webjet. The booking was trouble free, easy and information was sent straight away to my email. The flights and accommodation were cheaper than other booking sites (yes I checked all). Hotel rebranding problem in Singapore - booking cancellation processed with full refund – I have a positive story to tell. Singapore was void because the hotel was permanently closed (phone number was disconnected and website showed the closure).

On 9 September 2024, I made three calls to a telephone number of Capri by Fraser Changi City hotel. The automated message clearly stated that the phone number was disconnected. That was the first alert that forced me to conduct frantic investigations.

The second alert was the fact that their main webpage showed the hotel being permanently closed.

As luck had it, the hotel underwent a rebranding in a week before my travel and had a hotel name change from Capri by Fraser Changi City, Singapore to Dorsett Changi City Singapore.

They hotel should have contacted me and Webjet to advise of this, but this did not occur.

3) I then had to rush to make a booking for another hotel via different travel agency. I did not want to land in Singapore without having place to sleep.

4) Initially, I called Webjet office on 1800 935 929 and in the second attempt managed to speak to somebody. The phone call lasted 37 minutes and 49 seconds and ended at 18:37 hours on 10 September 2024.

The lady on the phone was adamant that Webjet could not help unless I provided the hotel waiver, which, at the time, I did not have. I explained that I could not remember receiving the waiver.

5) However, after two additional emails between then and myself (with proofs of my actions), Webjet delivered a service that showed their commitment to customer's satisfaction.

I was fully reimbursed for hotel costs in amount of $379.89 to the original form of payment on this booking.

Deposit into my credit card account was made on 16 September 2024 and finalised on 18 September 2024, much faster that anyone would expect.

My experience with Webjet has been positive so far.

Read the fine print. Do not get sucked in by car insurance they offer we hired a car in Tasmania for one week and the took a deposit fee which was not clearly stated as Webjet fee and offered car insurance and said we had to pay the balance at car… Read more

hire place. On arrival we were told no monies for either were sent to car hire so we paid the full amount for car hire and insurance because we thought webjet had not communicated properly Unfortunately we were wrong because of the fine print and incorrect assumption Will never use again and a 277$ lesson was learnt

An airline (South African Airways) cancelled an international flight on me at the last minute - with no explanation or apology. Webjet helped me to reschedule that flight and all connecting flights for the next available date, and to push back the dates of the return flights to keep my holiday the same length, at no extra cost. and waiting i got through to an oversees call center to find out where the car was. I eventually got the car with 1.5 hours to get to the wedding. (so no time to freshen up) ........ so i eventually got there at a lot more cost than anticipated. So that's why i gave you this score..... i should have just booked everything separately rather than going through WEBJET and I'll NEVER USE JET STAR again!!!. Flight to Dubai cancelled was able to rebook for a different day. Found out i miss the tour and would be able to join for two weeks after start date. So cancelled flight webjet says can still fly to Dubai lol they are bombing airport and no fly zone. So charge me $400 au to get back half the fair and 12 weeks to get the money. Ill never use them again and webjet 11 countries in 12 months so im not a one off flyer! Show details

Your next task is to find the intellectual Pygmy that’s masquerading as commercial advisor who came up with the idea to offshore your customer service to people who barley speak English, place him carefully in a director’s chair, make him beg forgiveness and push him out an upper story window. Once he hits ground, scoop what’s left of that vacuous toad up, take him back up and toss him again for good measure. This kind of ‘cost saving’ just makes you look cheaper than a Chinese knock off and about as desirable. Word to the wise. There’s competition out there. You’re providing them with about as much of a challenge as playing Helen Keller in a ‘to the death’ handball match. Making people wish they’d repeatedly shut their hand in a doorway rather than than deal with your team again will just fill their coffers and empty yours. on the phone, trying to find accommodation. To make things worse, we couldn’t even enter hotel’s lobby because reception was closed. Eventually, we were placed in another hotel 15 minutes away from the original booking in Surfers Paradise.

We were offered a refund and told to find a hotel ourselves, with the refund supposedly taking up to 5 days to return to our account. If you’re travelling on a budget, this situation is honestly impossible, expecting families to front extra money last minute on New Year’s Day is unreasonable.

The hotel we were placed in for one night had one king bed, with two mattresses added for our children. I spent most of that night searching for alternative accommodation and ended up booking another hotel at my own cost.

I was assured we would not be charged for that night, yet after checking out, the hotel called us chasing payment, saying Webjet was refusing to pay them.

After many more hours on the phone, the matter was finally resolved and we were refunded and covered for one night only. However, the stress, time wasted, and impact on our family completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable New Year’s Day.

I usually always confirm bookings directly with hotels. The only reason I didn’t this time was because it was a last minute booking made just days before our trip, and I had received a confirmation email, so I trusted it was secure.

Overall, an extremely disappointing and stressful experience that I wouldn’t wish on any family, especially during peak holiday periods.

through WebJet. Use their website to search for flights, let them pay the costs of running their site and systems, and then book direct with the airlines or through another agent.

Update: After a full day of discussions and 1 1/2 hrs on the phone to WebJet with 3 support staff (incl. supervisor), WebJet conceded that they had made an error, and honoured their initial commitment to provide the flights as originally booked without additional cost to me. I am very satisfied with the outcome, but disappointed that If I had not been prepared to spend a day and take issue with the error, I would have had to pay a huge additional amount to secure the flights. My thanks to CJ, Cindy and Brijesh of WebJet for their perseverance and assistance. Rating raised to 2 for fixing the problem, but still what should have taken 1/2 hr to book and pay took a full day of stress.

Avoid webjet. We had an issue and needed to put flights into credit. At the time no mention all future flights needed to be more expensive and you cant split, unlike qantas who is the carrier. The main issue though with a credit notice you cant do it on line, you have to call. On hold for 15 min so far. They were a fraction cheaper when… Read more

These guys MO is to make it hard for you hoping you give up. Added to this they have jacked up the fare by $60 compared to qantas and then added their fee's. They have you hostage using flights in credit. Dont use webjet - go to the airline

Do not use this company Webjet. Tried to book 3 tickets, put my card numbers in, got message booking did not go through and no money had been charged. That's was false, money went out of account for 5 min then bounced back. However, today web jet has charged 69.63 dollars in fees three times. I have 3 large fees and no tickets. Booked a package holiday to Bali for the family. Confirmed and paid - then realised the hotel is another 5 hours drive or 3 hours flight from Denpasar airport!
