Japan tour was amazing
Had the most amazing trip to Japan thanks to Wendy Wu. Me and my wife have always wanted to go there and they took us to all of the best spots. We didn't have to do anything but wake up each day and meet our guide. everything else was sorted for us
We are due to travel in 6 weeks time. Still no positive news coming our way. Latest on the website today is -'All our tours to China beyond 31 March are currently planned to operate as normal'. We are certainly not very happy with this at present. We do not want to take the risk of travelling at all this year and surely we cannot be expected to go just because the tour operators feel that is okay. We are not getting any joy from our travel agent either who cannot give us any advice, other than to wait until the 21 days prior to departure. Meanwhile we have no passports and cannot make other plans for our April holidays this year. NOT HAPPY at all!
Holidaying with Wendy Wu is no holiday
I booked a tour to China to depart early March.
When the Corona virus hit I expected the tour to be cancelled immediately. Instead Wendy Wu advised that there would be a vaccine available soon (what a ridiculous statement when the WHO were staying 18 months)and that they would not cancel the tour until two weeks before the tour date. The flight component will not be reimbursed for 4-6 weeks, nor will the tour component. I am disgusted by the buck passing, lack of transparency in decision making and the lack of contact regarding this. I cannot ...
dont keep deposits
why are you withholding deposits.when theres a killer virus in china.and will be for another six mounths.this is just a big rip off.money grabing,un proffessional.advise all travelers not to book.it mite bee your last trip, you mite not come back alive.most travelers are older so they should have more compassion towards their customers.not just money.wake up wendy wu what your doing is crap
Exquisite China, brilliant trip, couldn't fault it!
Our trip to China October 2019 exceeded our expectations, our tour guide Luis was intelligent, helpful, patient, interesting and nothing was too much trouble for him. We travelled with 12 people in total, a few Australians and the rest from the UK we had an amazing group of fun like minded people. The accommodation was superb and the sights and experiences we had will be etched into our memories for a lifetime. This is my 2nd trip with Wendy Wu and I'd travel with them again without hesitation.

Wendy wu rip off don't travel no travel insurance will cover you for virus outbreak
This has been the most unprofessional travel company I ever have dealtwith, I will make it known to all i meet and on websites chats, that due to the decision of my outcome of the company tour i will mention on facebook, product review, trip advisor all other travel blogs that i was being asked to reinstate my cancelled trip and take a gamble of losing percentage of monies paid or lose the lot depending on whether outcome is favourable to wendy wu travel agency.
I have never known a business to hold my money to ransom and take a gamble on my im...
Golden Triangle Tour - INDIA- January 2020
We had a wonderful 9 day journey in India, exploring the Golden Triangle ( Delhi, Agra and Jaipur!). This was a holiday that we shall never forget !
India is a very exotic country with contrasts of poverty, rich colours, beauty , grand buildings and historical sites. Our guide Jasvir Saurana, was outstanding on many levels. Jasvir was humble, knowledgeable, kind, has a great sense of humour and is a perfect ambassador for India. Jasvir has a masters degree in English, amongst other qualifications, and he made our holiday so interest...
Golden Triangle - India
I cannot rave about this tour enough!! Our tour guide, Jasvir Surana (Jess!) attended to our every need. His knowledge, passion and commitment to his job was outstanding! He was able to make everyone feel valued and special, making sure we found what we were looking for, and the expected price to pay! His knowledge of facts and figures was outstanding! His unassuming, gentle nature, as well as his wonderful sense of humor made every one feel special! Also, the food was excellent! Some people are concerned about the cuisine having an adverse eff...ect on their health - no one on our tour had any problems! In fact the food was fantastic! We were taken to all of the major attractions, and some!! Also the hotels were clean and very comfortable. Thankyou again Wendy Wu! This is my third tour and they have all been fantastic!!
Wonders of China tour
In October 2019 we headed to China for the Wendy Wu Wonders of China tour. Our tour guide was Kai Ning.
Beijing was the start of our wonderful China adventure. The itinerary covered so many different attractions and Kai was always there to share his love and knowledge of China.
Kai was always organised and kept us on track so we got the most out of our holiday.
Philip and I would like to say a big thank you to Kai and our fellow travellers for the 16 days of travel, stories and laughs.
Jewels of Japan
Recently returned from the Jewels of Japan tour. This was our first Wendy Wu tour, and we were very impressed by the whole experience which certainly exceeded our expectations. We had an excellent tour guide and everything was so well organised, and were looked after right from the time we arrived at the airport until we checked in at the airport at the end of the tour. Hotels ranged from good to excellent, and we experienced a wide variety of Japanese culture and cuisine and there were so many memorable highlights such as seeing Mt. Fuji up c...lose on a beautiful clear day, riding the Shinkansen train, and experiencing the Japanese tea ceremony to name but a few. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and will certainly be booking more Wendy Wu tours in the future.
China The Big One October 2019
Just want to start by saying I'd be considered a younger than usual traveller (Partner and I are in our mid 30's).
As for this tour - wow - it was absolutely fantastic and a real eye opener. We went in not really knowing a thing about China other then the obvious landmarks and now I honestly can't wait to go back for another trip!
I would like to make clear that the standout of the trip for me was our national tour guide Tony. He absolutely made the trip for us. He is kind, extremely knowledgeable and full of joy. Through Tony I have learnt m...uch and am glad to say that I have made a life long friend. Tony is without a doubt the number one tour guide in all of China and to be honest he is what I will miss the most now that we have returned home. Tony - If you're ever visiting Australia I'll have a bed made ready for you. You will forever be welcome here mate. Thanks again for the incredible experience and the life long memories. A big thank you to Wendy Wu Tours for making this trip possible - When we eventually travel again we will definitely be doing it with Wendy Wu again (any hopefully Tony!!)
Golden Triangle India
A great taster to introduce you to India. Tour communication was great & our guide Jitinder Singh was very approachable & informative. As a solo traveler I found the tour to be enjoyable although a little rushed at times. Would possibly be slightly better over an extra two days but overall I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to go to India & not have to stress about safety etc.

China & Tibet Discovery Classic Tour
My husband and I recently returned from the Wendy Wu China & Tibet Discovery Tour in September 2019. We booked through the Wendy Wu Travel Agency in Sydney who were very helpful in our planning. We were able to purchase the land content only as we planned to arrive a few days earlier than the start of the tour.
We chose Wendy Wu as all meals were included, a national guide and a local guide at each different location. Once we had all thrown in money for tips, we did not have to worry about that again for the rest of the trip. We were in a g...
Delhi to Mumbai - first time for this tour to run.
We booked this tour in October 2018 at the Canberra Travel Expo. This is our fifth Wendy Wu tour so from an organisational point of view we knew what to expect. Excellent meeting and transfer at Delhi Airport at 1 am, contacted by our guide first thing next morning, and apart from 1 very minor hitch it all ran like clockwork.
The guide Mr Sayed Hassan was excellent having a masters degree in Indian History we soo learnt all the nuances of the Hindu and Buddhist religion.
Hotels were all first class, the food was both Indian and Western and serv...
Grand Tour of China
The tour covered everything you are likely to want to see on a first visit to China - Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors, Summer Garden, the Giant Pandas, Yangtze River and a great deal more. The optional tours were fully disclosed up front. We went to most and they added to the experience. The hotels were very comfortable through to quite plush. The food was fantastic - as expected it was nothing like a Chinese restaurant in Australia. We opted for the Asian breakfast where there were choices and it was wond...erful eating with the local travellers. Travelling on bullet trains and by air worked very well. Some of the coach legs were long but China is a big country - to be expected! Our tour guide, Ian, was fantastic. We arrived at midnight and he was there on arrival and was waiting for a few people coming later. One of our tour group needed to be hospitalised. Ian was either there at their bedside or helping them make sense of the Chinese health system. Ian, our local guide and others from Wendy Wu kept the tour operating with precision. Ian's caring nature extended to leading those who wanted to participate in walks around the cities we visited - we got to catch a local bus and the underground train network - it felt like we were 'locals'. Wendy Wu like to talk about a 'family' of fellow travellers - Ian made us feel like a family. Ian's language skills in Mandarin and English were great - we got to learn from him and he was keen to understand Aussie, Kiwi and British culture. Outside Beijing and Shanghai, there are not a lot of people who can understand let alone speak English so having a guide proficient in Mandarin is essential. We'd highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants to get a very comfortable but comprehensive experience of China.
Disgusted....I took my almost 79 year old mother on the Wendy Wu Jewels if Japan tour only to come home with bed bug bites. My left arm had 33, my face 11 then I stopped counting. I sent the travel agent photos and an email asking for Wendy Wu to investigate. The travel agent called me to say my information had been passed onto Wendy Wu and someone would contact me direct. Still waiting almost 2 weeks later.
China, what a wonderful, clean and friendly country.
Wonders of China Tour Sept 2019. This tour was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. Our Guide was excellent, very attentive checking in with each tour member to ensure our accomodation, and the food was to our liking. Our National Guide and local guides for each city were all very knowledgeable, helpful and passionate about their country. We where told in writing about the tipping amount that would be collected when we arrived in China, before we left Australia. We where also told about additional tours that would be available. They told you...for each tour that we had already been booked for it ( a sales tactic) but did confirm before for each one if we wanted to attend. We only did 1 of the optional tours and told the guide we would not be attending the others. They did ask again to confirm but we said no and were not pressured again. The major shopping opportunities we where provided by Wendy Wu as part of the tour accepted credit card. If you ventured out to shop in the markets cash was required. All hotels had WiFi and we where able to use whats app and access facebook. Mobile phone service was excellent in all areas.
Wonders of China Tour September 2019
We recently completed a magnificent 17 day tour of China with Wendy Wu. We flew from Melbourne to Beijing and travelled through China ending up in Shanghai before our flight home. What made our trip all the more enjoyable and extraordinary was the very professional national guide Sam Gao who headed our tour.
Sam's knowledge, sincere interest in his 15 person party and amazing attention to detail made this a most memorable trip. Sam should certainly be a most valuable employee of the Wendy Wu business given our experience. He possesses a great ...
Trip was enjoyable!
My friend and I just returned from the 26day, Grand Tour of China.
We enjoyed it very much as our tour guide Lee made the trip enjoyable in spite of two disruptive people.
Lee handled each situation with tact and professionalism every time an issue came up.
We were taken aback by the number of optional tours that were 'highly recommended' and expected to take.
During the optional tours in Shanghai when people did not want to go the local guide told them to 'walk around the area' (the weather changed suddenly and it was raining), have a cup of c...

At this current point in time, it is only our China departures that have been affected and as a result, we have cancelled up until the end of March. We are, however, monitoring the travel advisories on a daily basis, for China and all other destinations we offer.
As the travel advisories currently in place are relevant for today’s date, we cannot comment on what the situation will look like for November departures in all destinations. That being said, the safety and health of our passengers is our number one priority. Should the travel advisories remain in place 21 days prior to departure, we will be in contact to advise cancellation and have some options available for amendments or cancellation free of charge.
