Another outage

published

Again, here we are at dinner time with candles and no power. From the state of some of the poles in our area, the fundamental problem is lack of investment in infrastructure. For god’s sake, spend some of the State surplus on upgrading the system.

Joke in your Town

Lived in Vic ACT NSW & WA. Western power would be the Biggest Joke I've ever seen. Run by overpaid Circus Clowns - this Circus must have the most power outages I've ever seen.

Horrible time waiting for fixing anything

Last year we are waiting more than 3 months to fixing streetlights to our area.
This year 17.05 I reported not working streetlight. After around two weeks I called to them. You are 3 in the queue (average waiting time is 5 minutes today) After 25 minutes someone answered and only thing it was they are busy and cannot fix it ealier. 02.06 I make complaint. I received email "we are sorry to hear you are not satisfied" Someone called next day and nothing happend for another almost 10 days. We still walking on dark every morning and every afternoon. Streetlight is close to walkway and we are not feel comfortable walking there in dark.

Very often doing some updates

Roughly every 2 month doing some updates and take them full day to be without power! Why synergy doing update so offten if we don't have problem with weather or Storm or any natural disasters. I been in australia for 25 years and in City maybe 3 time happened that we stay without power because of natural disasters but since we moved to rural and , Last 6 months living on property we been already 3 times without power! They can't find honest explanation and tell real reason because they keep monopoly in industry and they think they can do whatever they want!
So embarrassing and disappointed!
I will cut you off very soon and forever

One star is far too high a rating

Wanting to find out when my meter will be upgraded.
Call up and get a message "You are in the queue to speak to a Customer Services Reprsentative. The average wait time today is 4 minutes"
97 minutes later I was still waiting.

LEFT IN THE DARK...

Our power has been off since 6pm on the 5th May. Came home from work to cold and darkness.

It came back on briefly for a 2 hour window around 11am the next day on the 6th May, only then to experience another outage for hours with no known estimated time to be repaired.

We are now heading into our second night of darkness as our power is still not on. With children and pets this is disappointing to experience. We can't shower or bath, make a coffee, cook dinner... Not to mention the fridge full of food that has to be thrown out in the rubbish now.

Sure we can put in a claim for $80. But that doesn't even cover the cost for all the food that we have to now throw out.

LEFT IN THE DARK... and the cold again!

Unfortunately ZERO Stars is not an option

First decent rain and a bit of wind for the autumn and sure enough half the state is with no power. Not acceptable even for third world countries so why do we have to put up with it ? After all they do charge a daily connection fee come rain or shine so why can't we have a service provided come rain or shine ?
All the issues were supposed to be solved once the entire network went underground but some Lib government decided that it would cost too much to protect everyone from power cuts during rain and storms . But they made sure Dalkeith, Como and other liberal stronghold seats don't have to put up with power cuts and had their network goldplated.

Great customer service fixed a major problem

Verge tree branches touching power lines, proved difficult for council, but one phone call this morning to Western Power and it was all fixed today. Couldn't be happier with the service.

7 months and still waiting

Moved into a home with the power meter behind a gate. No problem, I organised self reading via Western Power immediately. Wrong. 7 months and multiple phone calls and not one single return call, none of the promised SMS’s for self reading arrived, or the correct NMI number, and although my file is supposedly full of messages to get this going I’m still receiving bills with an estimated read only. Really pathetic.
(Staff are helpful but none have managed to actually sort this)
