Our cooktop has started to show rust spots always cleaned it properly after use with special stainless steel non-abrasive cleaner would that be covered under a warranty or are we on our own thanks

Lucy P.

Exactly the same thing has happened to us - only 3 months after purchasing the product, it shows rust spots all over the cooktop. We have reported it to Electrolux, however they inform us that it is our problem and will not be covered under warranty. Pathetic service and completely bad attitude from the manufacturer. We are totally disappointed with this product

I purchased a new home fitted with a Westinghouse WFE914SB oven, due to a recent power outage I tried to reset the oven clock which seemed to work but the clock beeps 3 time randomly. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks Bill

Why haven't you put a recall on these stoves, because if anyone gets injured you will be liable for this,2018 you were made aware of this risk, its a dangerous product you have done nothing to keep customers safe, you have been made aware of this by customers and you just don't care, under the OHS law you have failed in your duty of care towards your customers putting them in danger,of a faulty product, they need to be on recall

Is it possible to make any of the burners burn hotter by increasing gas flow/flame size ? I find when doing larger portions it is hard to get meat to brown and it just broils

Angel

If you turn up the flame to high you will destroy your pots or pans use the middle burner

Great idea I never thought to use the middle burner

Hello looking at new version of this oven. Did you manage to get on top of exploding glass doors? Has it been resolved in the newer version WFE914SC?

N. White
N. White

It took 6 weeks of poor customer service to get it replaced. We have the new model now that has superseded the last two models with exploding glass. Fingers crossed they are using better quality glass in this model,

So were these stoves on recall,as I had a faulty regulator on mine,i have the same stove, apparently some customers have had the problem with scratching on the gas top,I have also rusting

We have recently purchased this ho e and a new stove was installed just prior to our purchase. The stove top gas ignition system is not working properly and you have to hold the control/igniter in for ages and when you finally think it will continue to work, flame goes out. Can you advise me what I can do to resolve this fault/problem. Appreciate any information and assistance you can give us. Graham

Does this oven still have the exploding glass problems or have improvements been made?

We have had this oven in our newly built home for about 3 years and the past 12 months the clock won’t keep time. We set it and next time we look at it it’s way out. Must be a way to fix it surely. Otherwise great oven once the gas jets are set correctly.

Hi Brent, I don't have an answer for you but if you could tell me how to CHANGE the time I would be super appreciative! I set the time easily on installation but now I need to change & can't figure it out for the life of me!

My oven is a little older, it is the WFE914SA (not B). A patch of the enamel on the bottom of the oven has worn off. Is the oven safe to use? Can the bottom of the oven be lines with aluminium foil? Many thanks!

Have just got this oven came with our new house. When the fan oven is on there is a lot of air coming out the top, just wondering if this is normal? Also seems to take longer to cook a leg of lamb than in the smaller oven.

When I cook roast pork, & potatoes the oven has so much steam pork won’t crackle & potatoes don’t crisp, what am I doing wrong please ?

Amanda
Amanda

Maybe you can use another setting. The fan may crisp up the food. Or you could try putting on the maxi grill for a few minutes ( watch it though ) prior to serving for a boost of crispness.

When cooking pork start at a high heat on fan bake setting with oven preheated to 230 degrees start allow 25mins of cooking at high heat this will seal the meat and start the crackling off then reduce heat to l60 degrees and finish cooking the high heat with the fan will help dry the crackle

We recently bought the WFE914SB and it is connected to LPG. Oven is great but the stove does not simmer on any of the jets. It is too hot. Does anyone know what we can do.

Can the timer beeper sound be adjusted on the WFE914SB?, mine is too quiet and can't be heard from any room other than the kitchen

Have had the Westinghouse WFE914SB for 12 months now and love it except for one annoying feature, the fan that blows airover the door to supposedly prevent door fogging up. All it does is make the area damn hot, especially in summer!!! Is there any way of disconnecting it as have to have the range hood cranked up to try and draw the hot air out of kitchen? Defiantly wasn't tested in your everyday kitchen environment. Thanks, Cameron.
