This product is not fit for purpose. It is not a garage floor paint. It has very poor adhesion and peels off. Even after six weeks of cure time tyres leave marks. I can NOT recomend this product. Show details

Regret painting over the top of my patio tiles with this rubbish. I followed the guidelines and within 2 weeks it started to peel. When it rained it completely lifted and I was scraping the stuff off. All I do now is go around with a small paintbrush filling in the bits that have worn off. Less than 12 months old and I have to look into repainting the whole patio. With another product. Do not waste your time or money. Show details

NOTE. THIS REVIEW WAS POSTED ON THE BUNNINGS WEB SITE AND IT WAS NOT ALLOWED TO BE PUBLISHED. Absolute Product Failure. These products are expensive and promise performance well beyond their ability. in mind for one location, a covered porch. Photo #1. I followed the instructions to the letter. I finally commenced the special project in April 2024, It took over 6 weeks for the right weather conditions with at least 2 weeks without rain even though the porch is covered.

To be clear I had already done a few other areas a couple of months before which were not covered and these had failed but I put this down to less than optimal weather conditions.

I was obsessive about the porch project the preparation precisely followed the instructions. When it was finished it was vibrant and looked very good, Photo #1 and Photo #2 but it quickly lost brightness, the actual paint was deteriorating far quicker that anyone would reasonably expect.

Eventually just over 12 months peeling everywhere. Noted is the grey border, shown in Photo #1 is still shiny and vibrant, an ordinary house paint, that has lasted and is not showing any signs of age.

I wasted an inordinate amount of time preparation using all White Knight preparation products only to be let down by poor quality products.

I bought this product after being unable to find an alternative product locally. When my husband was painting it on I checked out the reviews and after seeing the bad ones thought ‘uh-oh’. We used one coat on our pavers but laid it on fairly thick… Read more ·  1

because the pavers were porous. Four weeks on and we’re very pleased with the result - the porous nature of the pavers meant that the finish looks clean rather than painted which I didn’t want. We’ve wheeled a number of heavy wood loads over them with no wear damage whatsoever.

Follow-up  · After 12+ months the finish is still excellent. We’ve been dog sitting two golden retrievers who are full of energy and when they play fight they charge around and wrestle on the paved area. Despite the amount of fur they leave all over the pavers which requires regular blowing, sweeping and pressure washing, the paint is still as good as the day we applied it.

White Knight Ultra Pave Heavy Duty – I recently bought through Bunnings the White Knight Ultra Pave Heavy Duty. After reading through the instructions on their web site and the negative comments here, I realise why the product has worked well for me. https://www.whiteknightpaints.com.au/products/paving/white-knight-ultra-pave/paint/white-knight-ultra-pave-heavy-duty/ The main… Read more ·  1

reason is my concrete floor's surface isn't smooth, it was lightly sanded when poured and has a texture like 180ish grit sandpaper. I didn't need to etch it beforehand.

I did use an ordinary 3-in-1 primer on the bare concrete, and forgot to add the turps for the first coat, but mainly followed the instructions.

When I look closely at the finish, it still has that 180 grit look to it. The paint has simply adhered and added another layer to the surface, it still has that course look.

It looks great and feels good under feet. I use the space as a workshop, and don't drive cars onto it. Let's see how it goes in 6 months time after more foot traffic and moving machinery on wheels over it.

Bought this product from Bunnings who advised me how to apply it to a concrete pavers (i bought sample in to show them). I applied after pressure cleaning the front porch. Applied as per instructions. Waited 36hrs before applying second coat and left it yo cute for 6 days. 7 day it rained and it's now peeling off. Very disappointed . I should have read reviews before I bought it. I suggest not to buy this product. (UltraPave).

adhesion. 2nd coat was applied within the prescribed period. After 3 weeks the product began to lift, peel and cracked EVERYWHERE. Comes off easily when hosed and definitely doesn't like it when the clouds roll in. I look at this patio everyday and I'm reminded of how much time and money I spent on it to have it looking great for less than 3 weeks. The Rep came out, took some paint chip samples and sent them off to the lab, the result of which pointed the finger of blame squarely at me and an apparently non-compatible substance found to be in my perfectly prepared concrete patio. Shock HORROR, that substance was PVA! I am a professional painter and have run a very successful and reputable painting business for over 25 years. I have never ever know, for the life of me or other painters that have traded for over 50 year, for PVA, to cause a water-based paint product to react in such a way. The garbage and excuses from the rep and PPG are borderline criminal. Just a bunch of money grabbing dogs! Bunnings, shame on you for selling and recommending this crap. My patio looks horrendous thanks to Ultra Pave, quite possibly the worst concrete/paving paint in existence!!! Me angry!!

Does not adhere properly regardless the surface is correctly prepared – I'm a professional painter but this job was for myself at home so I spent even more time correctly preping the surface and applying the coats. thought I must have done something wrong and reviewed the technical specs etc, but I did everything correctly so was confused, disappointed and a bit angry. It was then I came across the Product Reviews describing similar problems so felt better knowing I wasn't alone and hadn't done anything wrong. I'm hoping a product rep with contact me to work out a solution, particularly as I've already used 2 cans and still have the final area to complete with the 3rd can. The surface has previously been painted some years ago with a similar water based paving paint that had faded over time but was still well adhered. Fortunately the new paint was a similar colour so the washed away paint patches don't stand out too much ... see pic uploaded below to see what I mean. Regardless this is still an unacceptable situation.

The paint I wanted was not in stock so I used this paint instead – I prepared and etched the garage concrete floor and did 2 Coates of the (White Knight Ultra Pave). Finish look good, but early days yet.. I wanted to use Berger's jet dry (water based) paint, but Bunnings only stocked the Berger's Oil base paint. So I purchased this paint (White Knight Ultra Pave) on the recommendation of the staff member in the… Read more

Bunnings paint section who told me as long as I made sure to prepare the area correctly, I should be right, and I wouldn't void any warranty. ( I though this was a bit odd to mention warranty, but none the less I purchased and used the White Knight Ultra Pave paint on my garage floor. I found it quite watery in consistency. I did 2 coates with a day in between. Brush washup was quite. After I finished the work I found I had some paint that had dried on my elbow. Though previous experience, this usually takes 3 or 4 showers and some scrubbing before paint comes off....the White knight Ultra Pave came off straight away/very easily, which made me concerned about it's adhesion to the garage floor. I then read the online reviews of this paint which were quite negative...and made me sorry I had not gone elsewhere to buy the Berger's jet dry water based paint that I originally wanted and the words of the Bunnings staff member about ensuring correct preparation is followed echoed in my head. ...anyway the paint covered the floor and it is only been a few weeks but no issues to report yet... I thouhgt it odd that bunnigs stocked Bergers Oil based paint but not he Water based paint....But they do have a lot of the White Knight Ultra pave in stock...and I'm sure, like me a lot of other customers would opted to buy it, rather than take a seperate trip to another paint shop to buy the paint they were originally after *in my case the Berger's jet dry (water based) paint. I hope I don't regret this down the track. The killer is this paint was expensive.

Spoke directly to the White Knight Rep in my region and was told, my slab must be of poor quality and thats not his problem. AVOID this product.

DONT use the sealer – Paint was great, but the clear sealer (same brand and label) acted like the best paint stripper I’ve ever seen, lifting not only the two coats of the Paint, but also the two layers that were underneath, which I’d guess would be at least 5 to 10 years old. Regretful choice. Paint peels, flakes and is very dull – We'd previously painted our driveway a couple of times with another brand with 100% no issues (resident since '97). This time around we tried White Knight Ultra Pave® Heavy Duty 10L and bought 20L in total. We followed all the procedures and drying times etc plus additional care to prepping and dry times. peeling so we patched them as they came up. This didn't really help as they just kept continuing to appear wherever the cars parked. Then over the following months, the paint just started peeling and flaking at random spots. Now after some hotter days over the summer, the paint is very dull like it is 20 years old. It is not so much that the job materials cost well over $500, it's that we are not sure how we can repair the full driveway. I really hope that the Manufacturer can reach out to support such a debacle.
