White Knight Squirts

Squirts paint is quality – I've been using squirts spray cans for some years now and believe it to be an excellent product for around the home and the many things i make around the home as a hobby, don't do what many companies do and let some clown in a suit screw it up, if it ain't broke then don't fix it, cheers Show details · 1
This product is truly awful – Cannot tell you how bad this product is. Somewhere between toffee and varnish but useful as neither of these things. Terrible going on and OMG you try and get it off !!!
Disappointed – I've purchased multiple cans of this from bunnings who stocks it. I'm disappointed to say the least. I used it to upcycle multiple jewelry boxes and almost two weeks on the cure has been soft and easily indented. I have ruined all of my stock because I stored them away after a few weeks thinking it would have well and truly cured properly only to… Read more
have the bubble wrap I protected them with indented into the paint. I'm very p*ssed off to say the least as I now have to repair all this
edit: don't waste your time with contacting them. They'll try palm it off like you're the problem then totally ghost you. I asked for specs about paint curing times and temps to spray in and they just didn't bother to ever actually reply with it.

Really good stuff – I saw this online somewhere and decided to give an old ikea side table a once over before throwing it out - this worked really well - easy to spray and the colour worked a treat. Looking for other stuff around the house to spray now!

I'm surprised by the negative comments – Luckily I had a good experience with the gloss white paint. I was worried when I read these reviews as I'd bought 10 cans about 2 years ago but never got around to using them. Used them last weekend and luckily haven't had any of the problems that others have. * Set quickly and with no bubbling * Was able to use the whole can without issue * If I… Read more · 1
put it on thickly it did tend to run, but I just ensured that I used thin coats on the vertical parts and thicker on the horizontal for two coats. Then rotated the components so that I was able to get that nice thick gloss look across all surfaces.
I used 4 coats and it dried in 24 hours (touch dry in 1 hour). Re coated it every hour or so as per the instructions on the can. I had heaters on, but it was only 15 degree's in the garage when I applied the paint.
I'll update my review if I encounter any of the longer term issues that others have encountered, but so far very happy.
Only thing I did notice as I've had the cans in the garage for two years is that three of the can's did have some sticky ooze leaking out the bottom of the can. Not much, but just an observation. Garage does get hot in the summer, so may have had something to do with it.
Good overall product – Whilst the light & bright squirts spray paints don't have good coverage, the Bermuda blue quickly covered a black 2 seat & small table setting with 2 coats literally within 10 monster and lasted several years. The forest green was good also & a nice traditional colour like dark Brunswick green Show details · 1
Very good – Painted it on a homemade monkey bar set. We get highest rainfall in oz and very hot days hasnt lost colour or shine. Blue and purple looks like the day i put it on. I love.rustoleum but this is on par if not better. Show details · 1

Absolute dogtrash – Terrible coverage, watery as hell. Nozzle has zero fan pattern so it's like a hose nozzle, but still doesn't give any uniform coverage. Cant tilt the can or it spatters and stops spraying. Absolutely zero chemical resistance once "cured" which after a month the cure is soft and marks easily. Have painted cars and motorcycles before so no stranger… Read more
to painting and paint prep. This stuff is absolutely the worst spray paint I've ever used. And before White Knight invite me to contact them to discuss, fekk off. Read the review. It speaks for itself, is detailed and has all the information you need to sort this complete pigs butt of a product out. You do the work. Not my 50 cent circus, not my foolish monkeys.

Does not cure or dry properly – We purchased this paint to repair a coffee table top. The finished product initially looked amazing but even after over 2 weeks of drying time, light weight objects imprinted into the table top. We painted it for our daughter, and are very disappointed with the results, as she is. Would never use again! Purchased from our local hardware store so will be giving our feedback to them to stop supplying to unwitting public. Show details

A light spray is the best way – There appears to be a lot of negative reviews, but I’ve had no issues. The can says it is better to do several light sprays (with drying time in between). My drying time is at lest an hour in between my very light sprays - and I get a lovely final gloss. I usually do about 4 layers. Its awesome if you just keep to multiple light sprays. Lovely gloss but won't harden – I clear coated as per can in sunny weather outdoors in Queensland during summer. I left item for 3 days then wrapped in clingwrap to protect. When l took the clingwrap off after 4 weeks - I had the pattern of the clingwrap embedded in the item. NOT HAPPY. Will never buy again - l suggest you avoid at all costs. Show details

Runs even with a light coat – Bought a can to touch up a few chips in a furniture item. Should have been an easy job and effortless but using this paint has caused headaches just trying to apply it. Even with the lightest coat, it runs like it's made of water and doesn't cover any of the chips. In fact, it has ruined the item I was painting to the point it probably looked better with the chips as now it's chipped and covered in watery runs. Show details

Good paint poor nozzle – Painting bed frame with satin black squirts over dark varnish but getting tiger stripes due to non adjustable nozzle, have painted with white knight products before with great results till now, can only assume some saving made in manufacture with this nozzle design, pity save a cent per can loose a customer forever. (maybe just spray cans other products good value) Show details

It is not enamel. I don't know what to call it – Enamel paint, allowed to dry for some weeks should not dissolve with mineral turpentine or Shellite. A 900 X 1200 X 16 panel was primed and painted with 2 cans of gloss black Squirts. It was horizontal so running was no problem. After several weeks i went back to the project and masking tape used on the black left some adhesive residue. I… Read more
intended to remove it with mineral turpentine, but tried it on a corner first. The black paint dissolved. I have had that before with the sprays sold in "Discount Stores" but did not expect it from a major brand. Sorry, not even one star!!!

So far I found it to be an excellent product – I can’t believe the negative reviews I’m really happy with this product after reading a lot of negative reviews I’m worried the paint might not hold up however great coverage touch dry in 10 minutes so far so good. Show details · 1
I have given 1 star as I can't give it Zero – Bought a can of Flouro yellow paint and shook it well before and during use. Paint went on thin. I waited 1 hr and recoated but still thin. Waited a day and really shook the can well before and during application and re applied... still thin. Not sure if I had a faulty batch but I won't be buying this product again. Show details

Do not use it – I bought this paint from Bunnings after telling them what i was using it for and that was to put a coating over the cowling on my outboard motor I followed instructions and used the undercoat sanded that and then the top coat Now after two weeks the paint is still not dry leaves finger marks when you touch it After four weeks tried to sand with a… Read more

Excellent spray paint – Don't understand the negative feedback unless the formulation has changed. Bought two cans yesterday and touch dry within 10 minutes. Coverage is excellent, going back soon for 4 more cans. It is the Squirt spray I am reviewing. BTW, no good directly applying to mdf, that needs good primers. I used typical 3 in 1 water based primer/sealers first then sand well. Show details · 1
Worst painting experience ever – Bought the squirts to paint car fridge. Paint type was chosen by Bunnings paint mixer. Worst experience ever. The paint Sprays like a hose, no control over the pattern. Result is used the whole tin trying to cover the gaps it leaves due to a useless pattern and hours of struggle. Going to return all bought tins and go back to my usual brand which… Read more
sprays correct and covers well and uses little paint. Other Fridge used a third tin to spray and took a few minutes after prep using another brand. Pity as they do have a nice colour choice but bad designed spray pattern, if you can call it a pattern. Have not tested the paint drying and adhesion as others have complained about as sprayed today. Why you had to change from a standard working adjustable controllable spray nozzle to this is anyone's guess.
Tested paint 12 hours later, Resistant to light scratching, not tacky, resists rubbing with finger. Paint quality in my opinion is fine based on chosen colour, they only need to go back to the adjustable spray button and will have a winner. I will still have to redo the spray though.

STAY AWAY – Stay away from this paint. It is cheap and nasty garbage. No matter how long you leave it for it will NEVER dry. It says touch dry after an hour but even after a week your fingers will leave finger prints in the paint. Dont waste your money Show details

Total and utter garbage – I have wasted weeks on a project because of the poor quality of this paint. It NEVER EVER dries. After waiting 2 weeks for the paint to dry your fingers will still leave fingerprints in the paint. I have had to sand my protect bank 3 times and wasted over 2 cans of spray paint because I cannot touch it even after 2 weeks. This has destroyed my… Read more
project and cost me over $200 in have to recreate because I could make the first one back anymore. This stuff sucks badly.
I will be taking all of the empty cans back to Bunnings for a full refund. STAY AWAY this stuff is terrible

was told that this is good from the guys at Bunnings but heck – using it to respray my headlights. Its most likely my fault the first time I have to resand as i sprayed too heavily and the paint cracked. Second time however it still managed to crack with light coats. Does seem to dry pretty quick (touch dry) Not a fan of the spray pattern as well. I am gonna give it a 2-3 stars as it may be due to bad techniques Show details

Great colour but crap paint – I am painting a solid guitar body with red gloss. The initial paint dried quickly but doesn't seem to harden even after 7 days. The paint also blisters meaning constant re-sanding. I have used 4 cans now and still have not got a result. When the dried guitar is layed on any surface, the surface leaves its impression in the paint. The paint is… Read more
soft. I do not know what is wrong but I believe this paint is of poor quality and would not recommend it. If you hold the guitar your fingerprints will impress into the paint surface. I know there are better products for guitars but it seems using this paint on anything will give the same result-very disappointing.

Shouldn’t be sold – This product is not worth your time, as your patience and frustration will start as soon as you spray. Paint runs. And runs No matter how quick you paint it still runs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Show details
Terrible – Have had nothing but issues with drying and blisters have been through 3 cans when it should of only taken 1/2 a can to paint a guitar body, paint is transparent and very thin, and unfortunately bunnings have no stock of the fluro red and now stuck halfway thru project Show details
Bitterly disappointed – I painted some wheels in white knight Lace and ended up with micro blisters on all five rims. The rims had been professionally grit blasted and primed and the were free of wax and grease. I sprayed a light coat of paint and let that flash off before recoating. I have not had problems with other brands but am bitterly disappointed in the product.… Read more
Unfortunately no one else had the same colour in spray cans.
Sorry White Knight you have lost me as a customer
White Knight Squirts Paint & Prime - not recommended – I've been using White Knight's Squirts for years, with excellent results. Unfortunately, their new Squirts Paint & Prime is a very poor product in comparison. Not only is it more watery and prone to runs, it also micro blisters as well. I painted some steel brackets which will now have to be sanded off and repainted, using a different brand of paint. Sorry White Knight, after all these years, you've lost me as a customer. Really bad product – I bought cans of 'squirts paint & prime' from Bunnies to paint 4 Windsor chairs. The chairs were carefully sanded (eliminating most of the painting and exposing the beautiful timber) They were free of any remaining dust, ready to paint. Unfortunately, applying the first coat was a nightmare. Can was shaked for several minutes. When spaying, i… Read more
pressed the button firmly, kept the 15- 20 cm distance constantly moving the the can. However, I couldn't control blotches and there was some dripping from the button. To my surprise, the painting didn't attached to the bare timber surface! Anyway, I have used painting sprays before but have never had this disastrous outcome. Will sand again this first coat and use another product. This brand... never again!
