have invested so much money into a piece of furniture, only to receive something that falls so short of our expectations. We had hoped for a high-quality product that would enhance our living space, but unfortunately, this has not been the case.

What followed was over six weeks of delays, contradictory information, and repeated changes to what was being offered as a resolution. During this time, I was given different answers, and an agreed compensation was later downgraded without explanation. I was repeatedly asked to resolve matters by phone despite clearly requesting everything in writing.

In one phone call with [Name Removed], I was accused of being dishonest and trying to “[Content Removed]” the company, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable.

I have lodged a complaint with VCAT

The product issues were frustrating enough, but the handling of the complaint, poor communication, and shifting positions were the real problem. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend to stay away from Wholesales Direct.

Great experience with this company! Placed order online for what I wanted, was delivered in two days, product is better than I expected. No hassels, the way business should be. Well done I say!

Was really surprised at the quality of the Shed it looks fantastic and bigger than i actually thought, only issue is that the instructions don’t say that you need a rivet gun for the door. Otherwise it’s great

Great service and staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The garden shed I purchased was well priced and packaged securely so no damage during transit. The payment was taken over the phone before any invoice or terms were provided, and no mention was made of a cancellation fee. When the invoice arrived on Monday, the freight cost was significantly higher than what had been discussed, so I cancelled immediately.

Despite this, Wholesales Direct told me I would be charged a 25% cancellation fee based on the full product cost, even though no goods were shipped or allocated. When I called to discuss this, I was directed back to Josephine, who was rude, dismissive, and repeatedly talked over me.

This experience felt misleading and unprofessional. Essential terms were not disclosed before taking payment, and their communication throughout has been poor. I am now lodging a complaint with NSW Fair Trading. I would strongly recommend caution when dealing with this business.

Took 6 months for delivery, I ordered in first week of February and received the shed in July. Missing parts which cost me $200 at Bunnings to buy so the shed could be put up. Also had to arrange people to get the shed off the truck ourselves. Very poor customer service when contacted and they bothered to answer me. I would not recommend..

So disappointed in this store. Purchased a bookcase and it arrive very cracked and damaged. Wholesales direct didn't seem to want to take any ownership or responsibility - questioning myself and the delivery driver that we paid $400 and insinuating it was someone else's fault. Still unresolved and we have a damaged item to repair ourselves. Off I go to consumer affairs for a claim. DO NO RECOMMEND! NEVER AGAIN!

wasn't in stock, despite the website saying so and that delivery would be made in early January. January turn into lat January, then early Feb now it's late Feb and still no delivery, but wait there's more. WD then has the nerve to send me an email saying that they can no longer ship the product to me for the price of the shipping on the purchase and they wanted me to pay additional freight? All the while they have been holding on to close to of 4 grand of mine. It's not my responsibility to pay additional costs for shipping, there was no caveat with regards to the shipping price on my purchase and furthermore even if there was, I do not believe that it's reasonable that I get asked to pay more, when the only reason the cost has gone up is a failure on WD's part to ship it when they should have. I want my TV unit and no more excuses, get it on a truck, or I will get the police involved. I'm happy to take this review down if it gets actioned and provide a positive review if the product is decent.

Excellent product – Very happy with the product. It was exactly as per the descriptions and photos in the website. They were prompt in responding my queries. They have also sent additional photos to make sure the product has no issues. Delivery charge a bit on the higher side ($149). However, the product was delivered on time. I will think of purchasing more furnitures from Wholesale Direct in future.

this company. They are exceptionally deceiving, possibly fake. In my experience, these reviews paint a very positive picture that is far from the truth and anyone considering buying from this company deserves to know how they will be treated per the experience of an actual real customer.

Firstly, THE WEBSITE IS NEVER UPDATED. The item I ordered was available and per the website/online ordering portal, could be collected within 4 hours of placing the order. I even called to confirm the above prior to placing my order.

Placing an order online was the only easy part of dealing with this company. After placing my order I was called multiple times on the following business day and sent messages to advise me that the item I ordered was not in stock and would not be for another 4 weeks. I received multiple additional phone calls during the week repeating the same message. By Thursday I asked for clarification that the item would arrive within 4 weeks as picking the item up there after (which would be a 5 hr round trip for me) would not be possible for personal health reasons. I was assured it would arrive.

2. THE COMPANY DOES NOT COMPLY WITH AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW Wholesales Direct equested full payment for an item they never had in stock despite advertising and verbalising the opposite. Furthermore, Wholesales Direct failed to provide this product in the time frame quoted. Furthermore, Wholesales Direct failed to provide the product (apparently made in Melbourne) within the 'revised' 4 week period. It took over 6 weeks for any communication to be provided suggesting the item I ordered was available for delivery. During this time, the website continued to advertise the item being in stock availabile for pick up in 4 hours.

Under section 36 of Australian Consumer Law (ACL), a business is prohibited from wrongly accepting payment for goods or services that it does not intend to supply or is unable to supply within agreed time or within a reasonable time if no agreed time.

 3. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONALLY POOR After the initial communication that was boarderline harassment, no updates were provided despite Wholesales Direct clearly being aware that they could never provide my item to me in the quoted timeframe. I had to repeatedly contact Wholesales Direct for updates. Updates were far from prompt and the author of communication verbal or written was never identified.

4. WHOLESALES DIRECT ARE BULLIES When made aware of the failings of Australian Consumer Law, and requested to provide compensation, Wholesales Direct failed to acknowledge their being at fault, failed to offer reasonable remedy and continued to breach Australian Consumer Law. Unsigned emails were sent with very limited and unreasonable resolution options all of which were tone deaf to my situation. NOTE, it took over 14 weeks for an offer of a refund to be made. It is clear that Wholesales Direct do not care about customer patronage.

5. ITEMS ADVERTISED ARE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE Wholesales Direct advertise items as being solid wood (which clarrification was sought) when infact they are MDF with a wood laminate. Wholesales Direct also advertise items as being desks. The items comply wuth such via dimensions only. Practically, items can not be desks due to drawers - a person physically can not sit and use the items as a desk unless the furniture is raised which defeats the point of buying the item.

As mentioned, buyer beware if thinking of purchasing from this company!!! I do not wish for anyone else to endure the terrible experience I was subjected to.

with inquries. Thanks to their carrier's toll for their speedy delivery. I have given 5 stars because I'm very happy with the quality of my shed. After reading others reviews I become very worried about what I was going to be receiving, but apon opening the package I couldn't be happier seeing that self tapping screws with rubber washers were included, doors were already assembled with hinges attached and very strong. I proceeded with a parts check list and no parts were missing and sheets were covered in protective plastic. Parts were labelled with a coded sticker so this made assembly easy. Instructions are illustrated pictures with a few worded hints. Support bracing is very strong and corner brackets are included to make corners stronger. This shed is well designed , well priced. Only downfall is I wish the self tapping screws were put through a powder coat process to match the grey colour because gold coloured screws really stand out.

Excellent garage storage unit – I purchased a 3.6m wide garage storage unit which comprised 5 cabinets wide. I am very happy with the end product which is good quality and provides a lot of storage space. However you need to be prepared for a tedious assembly job and the instructions are not too detailed I’m afraid. Other than that the end result was great.

All great – Product arrived when quoted. All in good condition. All pieces there and as advertised. Am very happy with it. Would recommend it to anyone. I now have purchased 2 from you. Thanks again. Alby

Service is poor packages are delayed – My daughter broke her leg and required some bands paid express mail for the bands to come to me and has been 7 business days now and still no bands . Rang the company up could not help me told me to send an email . But this email was already sent with no reply . The lady on the phone told me she did not know what was happening and could not help me . They have zero care factor and have no clue . Don’t order from this company not worth it !

A pleasant surprise! – At the buying price I did not have huge expectations, however I was wrong! It is a neat storage unit, simple to assemble and looks great

Scammed thousands – Scammed: one shed missing pieces, having incorrect instructions and requiring bolstering to meet basic building standards. Second larger one doesn't have engineering or shed plans. I've lost $1,000s of dollars to these crooks. Never experienced this in my country in my life. Will be taking legal action against these sociopaths.
