The overall sentiment for Wild Rhino is overwhelmingly positive, primarily driven by exceptional in-store customer service and a diverse range of stylish footwear. While most users praise the comfort and aesthetic of the shoes, a significant segment of negative feedback highlights concerns regarding long-term durability and rigid warranty policies. Recurring praise for specific staff members across various Australian outlet locations suggests a strong culture of helpfulness and product knowledge.

Wild Rhino is an excellent choice for consumers seeking stylish, comfortable footwear backed by high-quality in-store assistance and attractive promotional pricing. However, potential buyers should be aware of reported durability concerns and a potentially difficult claims process if the product fails outside the standard warranty period.
We went to wild rhino on Saturday 30 May at 5.30.We knew that the closing time was 6,but store manager started telling us that we need to be quick as he wants to go home early. He was very rude and short tempered. We would like to go and visit if he is there. It was my birthday on 1 June for which we were shopping but he spoiled everything. So… Read more
basically zero stars, when last time will was there about a year ago it was a great experience. This guy on Saturday 30 May didn’t even revealed his name.
I came in and bought shoes for my wedding and they were great and the staff was very helpful. Ordered some more shoes online and had some issues with sizing, took them in and they were so helpful in getting it sorted for me. Show details

I recently purchased these boots from Myer in Perth, and I’ve noticed that after wearing them only about four times, the inner lining is already starting to deteriorate. This seems unusual for a new product. I visited the Myer store and spoke with a staff member, who advised me to contact you directly. I really like the boots, but I’m concerned… Read more
about how long they will last. I’ve also discovered another issue with the same shoe. The lateral zipper is now coming loose and starting to detach.
I must say I’m quite disappointed and impressed (in a negative way) with the poor quality of the product. The brand is heavily marketed for its robustness and reliability, yet with very little use the shoes are gradually falling apart.

One of the best shoe styles and colours you can get in the Australian market for this price. I hope they keep it going.
I would give a zero if the system allowed. I bought a pair of their shoes for the "durable" image they emphasised. I work from home so didn't get much chance to wear. In the 14th month since I purchased the shoes, with less than 10 times wearing, I noticed the bottom outsole started to crack! It was shocking and shows the inferior quality of their… Read more
parts. My way older shoes not even have this tuye of problem. So I contacted them online, was then suggested to go to their store. I went to the store but was told they couldn't do anything without the head office instructions. I called back to the head office again but this time was told nothing can be done due to out of 12 months warranty. I said to them even though out warranty, it should be addressed under the Australia consumer law given limited wear, and such defect isn't caused by wearing but quality failure. Anyway, no response and solution provided. Completely ignoring the law and refused to talk further. I will NEVER buy another pair of their shoes! Very disappointed.
From the photos you can see the cracks and sign of minimal use.
I found the stylish shoe I was after within 10 minutes, and recieved a promotional 25% store discount in addition to my birthday voucher value. Very happy with my purchase! Show details
Great product and good staff support in selection process when shopping
I visited the DFO store in Warwick Farm twice before buying shoes. What attracted me was the exceptional quality leather, with stitched quality non slip sole bottoms on most of the shoes. "Aaron" was the man behind the counter the first and the second time of my visit. I have asked him about the brand and he explained me the source of the… Read more
materials, where and how Wild Rhino shoes were made.
I have had a decent look at all the range on my first visit, and promised myself to come when I have more money.
After a couple of months, I came again and the discount was "Buy one pair and get another pair for 50%".
This time I tried two pairs I had in mind and purchased. On the way, I saw the quality leather belt and bought it also for my work.
The shoes feel very comfortable for 12+ hours of my daily work. Quality of the leather and bottom soles is exceptional. If the quality stays consistent, I will be a lifetime customer for Wild Rhino shoes brand.
I have worn my Wild Rhino shoes for 4 months and they falling apart. The shoes are really comfortable but terrible quality. Show details

Purchased a beautiful pair of slip on Rhino shoes 4 weeks ago and wo're them for 1 evening. Next day had biggest blisters I have ever seen on my top of feet and 4 weeks later, im still suffering pain on my feet from 1 wear of these shoes. I called their office and they where uninterested in assisting in any way. Haven't been able to wear shoes for 4 weeks. Beware when purchasing these shoes. Show details

I would give 0 stars if that were an option. I purchased a pair of shoes for approximately $160 and, due to working from home, wore them fewer than 10 times over a 14-month period. Despite this minimal use, the outsole began to crack—well below any… Read more
reasonable expectation of durability for a product at this price point. I contacted customer service and was directed to return to the store, where I was told no action could be taken without head office approval. After following up again, I was refused assistance on the basis that the product was “out of warranty.”
Under the Australian Consumer Law, products must be of acceptable quality and last a reasonable amount of time, regardless of any stated warranty period. Given the very limited use and premature failure, this standard has clearly not been met.
Disappointing product quality and poor customer service. I would not recommend this brand.
The photos attached show minimal wear and the cracks.
Follow-up · Nothing happened, they must think they are such successful business and untouchable
I want to leave a review for the shoes I bought from Wild Rhino. The seller said they don’t explain the policy at all and their behavior was not good. The seller, named Aro at DFO Brisbane Airport, told us that if they explain the store policies to customers, it is considered “extra work,” and that it is the customer’s responsibility to ask.
Follow-up · When I purchased the shoes, the salesperson didn’t inform me that clearance items couldn’t be returned. The shoes were a gift, but the size didn’t fit. When I went back to the store, they said it was against their policy and mentioned they don’t usually explain it to every customer. I believe the return policy should be clearly communicated before purchase.
Great looking shoes, discount for second pair gives a very good price. Second pair was not in store but was posted free from another store. Very pleasant staff. A very happy customer! Show details
Follow-up · Update. Second pair were sent from Melbourne (to me in Brisbane) and arrived quickly. I have worn both pairs and they are very comfortable. I'm still happy!

This is my experience at the Adelaide store My husband and I went into the store looking for shoes, and the experience was honestly shocking. When we walked in, we were not greeted at all. A man—who later told us his name was Sahil—was sitting on a step ladder behind the desk on his phone. He glanced up at us but didn’t say hello or acknowledge… Read more
us in any way, which we found quite rude.
We’re getting married in the new year and hoped to find shoes for my husband and his groomsmen. Instead, we were left to wander the store ourselves while Sahil continued sitting down and paying no attention. On top of this, he was openly burping and making other kinds of flatulence noises without any attempt to excuse himself or step into the back of the store. It was incredibly unprofessional and made us very uncomfortable.
It was only as we were about to walk out that he suddenly approached us and asked what we were looking for. He practically rushed to the door as we were exiting. We explained we were heading out to compare options and might return later, but he immediately became pushy—insisting their shoes were the best and repeatedly trying to keep us inside the store. It genuinely felt like he was trying to block us from leaving, and the whole interaction was extremely uncomfortable.
My husband asked for his name, and he said it was Sahil. At that point I was so uncomfortable that I walked out and let my husband handle the rest.
Overall, very poor staff behaviour and clearly no proper training, if this is considered acceptable conduct. Truly disappointing. We will never return, and we’ll be recommending that others avoid this store as well.
Great Shoes, very comfortable. Purchased many. My go to shoe brand – What can I say. Love these shoes. Wear them everyday for work, also for casual, dress up and weddings. Extremely comfortable. I have likely purchased over 10 pairs. Still using at least 5 different pairs. Every pair I have purchased have lasted the distance (with one exception...see below re Digby) with some still going after 5 years. Had issues… Read more
with a split in the side of my Cheetah (Camel colour) after a year or so, and they replaced them with no issues as I was able to prove proof of purchase and showed how many I had purchased.
My only issue is that the soles on my Digby shoes have never lasted. I have purchased around 3 to 4 of them (as I love the style) and none have lasted longer than a year as the sole wares out too quick. Have finally moved on and am currently trialing the Chamber as a replacement as the sole looks as though it will last longer.
One last request. Why have you dropped all camel colours from your range? I love that colour with jeans. Dresses them up with a classy casual look.
Great boots BUT carefully inspect for any manufacturing fault – Both husband and son LOVE Wild Rhino boots. They are stylish, hard wearing, light and comfortable. All these features made the boys loyal return customers after moving from another well known boot brand. However, one boot of one pair separated from the heel - obviously a manufacturing fault where the leather was not caught sufficiently into the… Read more
heel. Although the company corresponded with me, they insisted on just a one year warranty and production of the sales docket. As the boots effected were the good boots - they were more than 12 months old and we'd thrown the sales docket! It's a shame that Wild Rhino weren't able to acknowledge the very light wear this boot had had ( we sent a photo) and make an exception when it is a manufacturing issue that cannot be repaired and we were and are loyal advocates of their boots.
We still recommend Wild Rhino BUT buyer beware - inspect them carefully and keep your sales docket.

Our visit to wild Rhino harbour town was the Pinnacle of retail service and excellence. We attended the Wild Rhino outlet store in the Sydney Outlet Village and were served by Aaron. Even though he was dealing with another customer at the time, he still greeted us and made us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and he helped us find the shoes we wanted in another store and arranged for free delivery to our house. Will definitely be shopping here again. Show details
