of questions along the way. Every email was replied to quickly and every phone call was answered or returned. This high level of effective communication was key to our successful build. We were never left in the dark as we knew what was happening at each stage and were able to speak to the right people as required.

We also knew that we would change our mind throughout the build and were concerned about the potential cost of variations. We had heard horror stories about variation fees from other builders so were a little worried about this going on. However, we were able to make 40+ variations post PCI without any fees or charges.

Post handover support was also phenomenal. We had the supervisor out on the same day that issues were identified and within a few days they were resolved. This gives me confidence going into the 6 month maintenance period that any issues identified will be dealt with in the same manner.

All-in-all a great building experience and one I would do again with W&H.

designed homes and having a builder who is communicative is crucial to tackling these issues head on. They were very flexible with several aspects of the build which is a huge positive as a boutique builder. They were timely with the construction and their build quality is evident. Brett, their estimator, was always prompt with his replies in getting a number of quotes and was the main point of contact up to pre-start. Thereafter, Fabian and Les were the points of contacts during construction and were excellent at keeping us abreast with what the scheduling was. Les was exceptional to deal with and we've had a good relationship in solving some construction details. Throughout the process, Anthony, the director, was kept in the loop and touched base several times to ensure things were proceeding smoothly. Overall, an excellent boutique builder and one that is willing to listen to the client's needs and respond accordingly.

Our whole experience was relatively hassle free, with any small issues that did arise dealt with in a timely manner. Good Quality Builders with 25 years Experience – They were nice throughout the build and the construction team were polite and friendly. Communication during the building process was great, and even when we changed our mind on a couple of things mid build there was no problem with making changes. built with this builder in 2012 – 2012. we were happy when keys were handed over, there was some issues but the supervisor was working on the contractors who did the works, as there was a couple of issues with the ceilings, but these were ceiling contractor and painters mistake. brick pavers didnt follow council plans, one of the shower floors was too level, no flow or little flow… Read more

to drain, electricians missed a crucial wiring point in theatre room, foxtel and lan point. plumbers messed up some gas bayonet plumbing.

as stated though we were very happy with our new home and the other items were all contractor issues that were being resolved

2013, we spoke to them about maintenance items and all got listed for rectification.and solutions

2014 had no response on solution. or when solution was happening, supervisor kept saying he would call back

2015 our maintenance items were still outstanding, but unable to contact them.

2016 we looked for other options to our maintenance

2nd June 2016 we placed a review on this company.

June 2016 Well since placing this review the builder has made contact, he also is not happy to have an unhappy customer and at this stage is unsure how I slipped through the system without my concerns being rectified.

He does seem to be willing to work with me on resolving, so far so good, will post once we have made an agreement.

october 2016, as stated the owner of the company has made good on all items, has been very helpful and has ensured all workmanship was completed profesionally, in my opinion our house was built during peak times, and any issues we had were all contractor related, however supervisor should have been harder on these contractors,

also I dont think those original contractors are in business anymore (thats what happens) and can say that I was impressed with the professionalism of the contractors that came and did the repairs,

I would build with this builder again, seems he is in it for the long run, and I think anyone planning on building a quality house has to go with someone who has lasted

What a disaster – Do not build with this company the quality of the work is terrible, a backyard builder with no qualifications could do a better job. rubbish. They even hung the pantry door upside down! It took alot of legal intervention to have the kitchen basically fixed.

All the 9 years we have lived in this house, we have continually, had building & painting specialists,trying to fix the cracks that are in the walls and cornices. Which has been an enormous expense to us.

Most of the doors, were never hung properly, and continue to jamb.

With all our continued correspondence, we still could not get anything done to fix up the many problems we encounted. We still never to this day had our house signed off, as maintenance, was never satisfactorily completed.

In our experience we believe, there was no professional supervision,through out the buiding of our home. It was only the fact that we kept a daily observation on the home as it was being built, that prevented many more disaster's from happening.

The price we paid for our home to be built, made it a very big disapointment to us, as we were under the impression we were building with a Quality Builder.

To be living in a house, we are continually having to pay tradesman to fix, is disappointing as this was to have been our "Dream Home" to live in forever.

We cannot think of anything good to say about this company. Poor communication,unprofessional attitude & poor workmanship

We liaised mainly with Brigit as our point of contact; she was very professional and always answered our queries quickly. There were a few issues which came up along the way, but these were resolved promptly and in an amicable manner. The staff were amazing, particularly Fabian. The time he took to go through all the details of the items wanted. I found a bath that I liked online and Wilson and Hart organised to buy it and get it delivered and installed.

It was interesting reading other reviews of them and it brought back all these memories of when they built our home so I thought I had to add my own even though we've sold that home now.

Building process went smoothly except one or two hiccups which were solved immediately. We were very surprised when we do the final inspection as it is beyond our imagination and expectation, except minor defects which they quickly repair it for us. Otherwise, the workmanship is great. We like our home so much as they design and utilise the space very wisely so that the house looks bigger and it feels cosy to live in. It is a peace of mind to know that they also give warranty for the workmanship.

Overall, we are very satisfied and relief we have trust and chosen Wilson & Hart from the beginning we consult with them to the effective communication during the process and we have a fantastic dream home we have been wanting within our budget. A home with a Hart! – I have just finished building with Wilson & Hart and am very happy with the finished product. From start to finish they were generally very good although there were a few hiccups...par for the course and based on previous experience they respond far quicker and more positively than others.

4 months after the original quote we finally had planning approval – and they still honoured their quote.

One standout feature is personal service – we dealt directly with the boss, as building progressed we chose to deal a lot with the site supervisor and scheduler as well. Any concerns we raised have always been taken on board and dealt with properly. (Good luck getting that from a large building company)

The workmanship is mostly excellent, the brickwork is to display home standard. They gave us plenty of flexibility, e.g. we supplied our own kitchen appliances and had our own stonemason supply and install the kitchen benchtops.

Construction time was about 2 months longer than expected – one factor was the availability of their trusted brickie (we were happy to wait a bit to get the “best” brickie), and towards the end another trusted trade got sidelined by doctor’s orders.

to completion we had the pleasure of dealing with a handful of people. [names removed] all spoke to us directly with regards to any questions we raised and returned emails promptly.

Unlike other builders we were able to change many aspects of our home such as colours, appliance brands etc after handover without being slugged additional variation fees. They were always happy to oblige when possible and gave us a great degree of control over our build (the way it should be).

Build time was within the estimated timeframe given to us from the beginning and the supervisor [name removed] and all trades did a fantastic job. At completion we had the property independently inspected for peace of mind. The inspector could only find minor faults (which were rectified) and said it was one of the best built houses he'd seen in quite some time.

This was our second build and was a much more satisfying experience then building with a larger builder. We would have no hesitation recommending Wilson & Hart to any of our family and friends and look forward to many years in our amazing new home. Personal service rather than just a number; bespoke home at a great price; high level of choice.

Our block was challenging to work with but their in-house designer came up with a functional design that maximised space and created a home that has a really relaxed feel. to ensure that we were happy at every stage of the build process. Any changes we asked for were no hassle at all. It is inevitable that some things do go wrong during the build process. For us they were very minor things. When they were brought to Wilson and Hart's attention they were rectified almost immediately and my partner and I were very impressed with the turnaround.

The Supervisor who oversaw our build has been with Wilson and Hart for approximately 10 years and was lovely to deal with. We could call his mobile directly at any time of the day with any questions or concerns we had.

Even after the build Wilson and Hart still keep in contact with us to check in and see how we are going. They were such a lovely group of people to deal with and when we build again it will be with them.
