Went to a Melbourne store and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Managed to get 2 pairs of shoes on sale, one for me and one for my daughter. The shoes are incredibly comfortable, slightly heavy but they're chunky so expected. Only issue i have is that I get insane static zaps from my car when wearing them. Sparks and all. Show details

Someone needs to be fired whoever designed their zipper tags probably did even graduate primary school. they’re not even real leather. Don’t bother with the bad quality and NEVER buy them online because even if they break they still charge you for returning a faulty product

conditions - the sole on one shoe has already split so they are now unwearable. For $219AUD, that's unacceptable. After checking reviews online, it looks like this is a consistent issue and maybe I was lucky to get 3 months! The returns process IS NOT customer friendly. I took them in asking for a replacement, only to be told that they'd take some photos and send those to head office. I lugged the shoes in, only to have to take them home again. I got a phone call the following day saying that my return had been approved and that I would need to bring them back in for a return/replacement. Thankfully, I have the time to navigate such an inconvenient process. I've bought $40 platform boots from other companies, worn them in worse environmental conditions (salted, snowy roads and rivers) and had them last multiple years. I asked for a pair of replacement boots, but had I known this was a consistent issue, I wouldn't have bought them in the first place. I now have to spend a couple of weeks breaking in my new pair (and the blisters that will bring) when I'd only just worn in the last. The company knows that they have a quality issue and yet nothing has been done about it. That shows you how little they care.

Made a defective shoe and won't stand by it – They made a very expensive patent leather shoe that I purchased and they were defective. They will not stand by their product and I was told sorry to hear that. My straps on the shoe were made over an inch too short and won't even reach! Show details

Exactly what I wanted very sturdy – I'm not sure what's up with all these bad reviews. I order a pair of block ankle books off the Iconic and they are perfect. Very sturdy, perfect height for every day and seem very well made. A lot of my friends buy this brand as well and the boots have lasted them a couple of years plus. I think you need to keep in mind that people are more likely to make a bad review than a good one so take these with a grain of salt. Show details

summer job money I wasn't entirely sure whether or not it was a good idea to purchase. My Mother then looked online and saw a 10% off discount, the young clerk explained that the discount was not available in store. She then explained to me that this was a very good purchase and that I wouldn't regret it. I turned to my mum unsure of why she or not to purchase and then the clerk explained that if they weren't what I wanted I could return them within 20 days as long as they weren't worn outside. We then went to the counter and the clerk began to ring me up, she then told me that she had two of her own sock boots (she gestured two with her fingers) and that they were very comfortable and I wouldn't regret the purchase. My mum then approached the counter and before I tapped my card the clerk explained to my Mum and I again that we had 20 days to return or exchange the shoes if they didn't fit or if I had changed my mind, she said that as long as I didn't wear them outside they would be good to return. I thanked the clerk and explained that this helped calm me in this purchase. I tapped my card spending the 180$ under the impression that I had 20 days to either keep, return, or exchange. I got home and realised that the shoes weren't what I wanted and were too high for me to walk safely in. My mum then enquired to our nearby store about the return where the highpoint shop clerk explained the reality of the exchange policy at Windsor Smith. We were confused and shocked to say the least as we had been told something entirely different. My mother then enquired with the original store of purchase where she was met with resistance, snarky behaviour and overall complete disinterest towards helping us. It took a week and several phone calls to reach the Boss of the Bourke Street shop where he explained he would review security footage and get back to us. We were happy and thankful to finally see some progression to help us with this issue. We were curious however to how the boss would be able to hear the conversation on the cameras considering the music playing in store but overall happy to have someone help us in the situation. The Boss then called my mother back after reviewing the footage and explained that when I was at the counter by myself and the clerk gestured with her fingers that I had only two weeks (14 days) to exchange but not return. This was not the case, the boss continued to yell and viciously and verbally attack us, accusing me of lying about what the clerk had said. This overall experience has been very, very disappointing. I, as a young consumer was told incorrect information, coerced into a purchase I wasn't sure of with completely untrue company facts and then after the fact accused of being a liar. The shoes still have not been worn and it would cost Windsor Smith nothing to give us the option that we were promised to return these shoes. We are coming to the end of the 2 weeks and Windsor Smith has refused to help us. The customer service has been awful, the shoes are uncomfortable and there is absolutely no accountability from the mistake this clerk made. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE .

myself to lake the shoes and they made me take a leather spray for the price difference. I have called the city store instead of Parramatta and a lovely lady has set aside for me a pair that has no faults. However 3 trips 2 different stores and I have to settle with a pair. I want to state that it is not the staffs fault...it is their head office rules. Its very frustrating to do all this travelling for a pair of shoes....and the poor staff that has to decline our return. Upsetting for all involved. I suggest we contact Australian Consumer Law Fair Trading to regulate their in store purchase return policy because it is vague when you look it up, the receipt only mentions refunds but it doesn't specify credit notes. Ruthless owners enjoying their millions while I catch trains and buses 3 times for just an exchange let alone a credit note or God forbid a refund. Shame on them.

four weeks of receiving the online order, which is very different to their physical stores returns policy. My experience was less than pleasant after we purchased from the Miranda NSW store, and tried to return the VERY EXPENSIVE shoes (within a few days) as when we checked against the suit we had purchased (not available at the time of the shoes purchase as the suit was being altered) the shoes didnt match as expected. Lots of visits to the MIRANDA WESTFIELD NSW store, and emails back and forth to "Windsor Smith & Lipstik Shoes Returns Team", left me with the firm opinion to purchase from a store with a more sensible returns policy.

The worst customer service ever! – Ordered some shoes for a Xmas present 4 weeks in advance - they message me 10 days out from Christmas saying the product was out of stock. Emailed back asking if they have any similar products instead and received no reply, and took over a week to process a refund. So not only did I not have anything to gift for Christmas, I also didn’t have the refunded money to buy anything else. And still haven’t gotten any replies from my emails!

Disappointing – My daughter was about to buy some shoes from Windsor Smith but then I asked her if she'd looked at the customer reviews, she said no. So we had a quick look. THANK GOODNESS WE DID. I think its great that people can let others know what they are in for. Thanks so much. The company needs to know that they are losing out on sales because they don't care about their customers. We are sorry to hear about the issue you have had with your shoes. As your purchase has been made at a Windsor Smith store, please return them to one of our stores along with your proof of purchase. Our team in-store will then be able to assist with the next steps in having the shoes assessed. (please note shoes purchased from a DFO cannot be taken back to a full-price store and vice versa)

I took the shoes to the Bourke St store. The store staff took a few pictures and told me to take the shoes back and wait for the assessment result.

I get a call the next day from the store that everything looks good with the shoes and unfortunately, they will not exchange or process return. The staff said my case was escalated to head office and the CEO and they have said nothing can be done. haha Company seems to be in really bad condition and the aim is to just make profits with zero customer satisfaction.

How can pictures tell you the story of what's happening inside? Lol Jokers

My advice is there are better brands and shoes available in the market with good customer experience and better comfort levels and if you really want to buy Windsor Smith shoes please do your research and ask questions about the return/ exchange policy before making a purchase.

has passed where the shoe sole has completely cracked in half. This is only with one of my shoes and even if i did wear them quite often it does not excuse the sole cracking like this. I am severly dissapointed because they were 200 AUD and have broken so easily like this. It is safe to say DO not buy from windsor smith unless the items are on sale. I cant even go to return or refund as i've already missed the exchange window.

I'm now stuck with a $189 pair boots that I can not wear. I will be taking this up with Fair Trading. The sales girl was very dismissive. Know your rights people. If you are not happy with your purchase there are 2 reasons for further action it called minor or major, in my case it's a major problem. Look it up folks on Fir Trading.

stopped responding to me for 3 weeks nearly a month. So I called their head office and spoke to a lovely lady who did help massively. I had to restart the process of a refund again, and when asking for the details of my bank they did ask for information that was not relevant to a bank transfer (date my bank account was opened) and could seem a little suspicious but I don’t know for what purpose they asked for it. It took about a week and a half to receive a refund to which wasn’t the full amount as there was a fee that took money out the refund to send internationally. I believe they should have covered that cost. Was a whole lot of effort and a lot of anxiety of not hearing back from them and not expressing all the information and answering all my questions. Don’t recommend purchasing from here as you are likely to have your shoes wear very quickly

Terrible quality – I purchased a pair of Princeton boots 3 months ago. While they look good when new, they don't have the quality to back it up. The heel on one of my boots has split and both heels are starting to fall apart. There is also no support in the heels.
