tried to cancelbooking because od saftey issues ie no rail around balcony high off ground. Wxtra vharges added to bill. I chose not to stay there never evee book with these guys again RIP OFFS

I got scammed, they took 1300 dollars and refuse to take calls or respond to emails. You have no way to get a refund at all because they have no contact. I didn’t even get a confirmation email they just took the money and ran!!! Show details

Tried booking a hotel through wotif, it was denied and stated incorrect credit card details. Tried again, and the same thing came up. So booked through a different company as there is nothing wrong with the credit card. Then I have had 2 charges to my credit card for $72 and $35. the credit card twice. Now I can’t get in touch with anybody as the is no booking number. And no one is replying to emails sent. Scam of a company. Do not use.

Wotif support claims their system “automatically prompts” when a CVV does not match. That statement is deeply concerning, because a CVV mismatch means the cardholder did NOT authorise the transaction. A payment declined by the bank is not valid and cannot be treated as completed. incorrect CVV, Wotif still charged the amount and now hides behind a non-refundable hotel policy, which is completely irrelevant. You cannot apply cancellation or non-refund rules to a transaction that was never authorised in the first place. Customer support insists I “agreed” to charges and cancellation terms — but there was nothing to cancel on a failed payment. Suggesting that a declined CVV transaction can still be charged raises serious concerns about Wotif’s payment handling and customer protections. This experience has destroyed my trust in the platform. Customers should be extremely cautious and monitor their bank statements closely.

I wish I could leave no stars crappy room room phone was smashed was told after I paid that there was renovations had to use a service elevator plus one staff member asked for 50 cash to get me to check in early but with no guarantee chasing up a refund still

I booked and paid for a room 22 hrs before check in at the Brisbane Airport motel I realised I made a mistake with the date and immediately changed the dates then WOTIF charged me $206.00 and the room rate was $130.00 on the WOTIF Web site I attached screen shots . I could not cancel the booking due to no refund . I could not believe the extra charge $76.00 . I will never use Wotif again. Show details

The reviews say it all. Unspophisticated criminals who take your credit card then you show up at the hotel and your booking is non existant. My bank told me they get lots of fraud complaints about Wotif. Never again. First and last time I book through them. Show details

that if you get a cheaper pricing for a package deal from what Qantas offers , Qantas will match it, this is the only reason I went with Wotif, the pricing. If I’d read the reviews I certainly wouldn’t have bothered . I reached out to the hotel overseas and the airline, both who rectified the Wotif errors. They also said that they highly recommend not to use this 3rd party company due to safety many people having big issues with the booking from incompetent staff. Thankfully we double and tripled checked before getting to the airport/ hotel as we wouldn’t have been able to board purely because of the personal details on our tickets not matching our passports. How it was my fault is a mystery. Do not use this company unless you want to set yourself up for a lot of angst , frustration and misunderstanding due to the communication factor.. it was like talking to people with a mouth full of marbles.. couldn’t understand what was being said, shouldn’t have people with such poor English comprehension and lack of understanding.

Today we had to cancel a booking that we made through wotif due to the cyclone that may occur in Brisbane. Our booking was non-refundable or changeable. However, due to circumstances wotif contacted the hotel and got us a refund. The man who helped us could not have been more accommodating. Great communication and advocation – A huge thank you to the reservations team for some great communication and a very positive experience. Due to a mix up on our end, we accidentally booked a room with no cancellations twice for the same nights and the team were very understanding and worked with Hilton Lima to refund one of the bookings. Many phone calls, told would get a refund when the site refunded them, have in writing that money never passed on to the park yet still no money back to us. Don't go through Wotif they will steal your money even after you have cancelled your booking due to false advertising. I booked a room and cancelled minutes after viewing where I was staying only to find it was shared and a backpackers. Requested a refund and the backpackers said that I needed to contact Expedia who are Wotif and still have not received my money back as a refund. Show details

7 HOURS ON HOLD. THEY ARE LYING! THEY NEVER CALL YOU BACK Their phones are designed to cut off at the 1.10hr mark. 3x goes at being on hold for 1 hour to be cut off right after nearly getting my date change request finalised. They confirm your mobile phone number to say they can call you back if the phone disconnects and the don't call!! This company is more than a joke. simply lodge your complaint to. This is bizarre. This is always my preference as you attach any relevant documentation, have a paper trail and don't waste time on the phone getting nowhere with incompetent customer service agents.

But my experience for the first time having to call and speak to someone from their customer service has been an extremely frustrating and poor experience.

You have to call through to one of their customer service agents, who are difficult to communicate with. I had to call twice and spent 40+ minutes on both calls. Firstly with [Name Removed] who was pleasant and easy to understand after she slowed down, but she advised that the payments still pending taken off by the airline would drop off (I was charged by both the airline and wotif for seat selection). This didn't occur and the payments both went through from both Wotif and the airline

Hello [Name Removed]/Whom it may Concern,

Please see attached the bank statements for the Cathay Pacific charges ( 4 x seat selection (x 2 for outgoing and x 2 for returning flights for two passengers)).

As advised to [Name Removed] on the phone call and on the thread (call was requested to be recorded), I have been charged for seat selection in the invoice (Itinerary # 73371577854660) by Wotif.com, and also by Cathay Pacific. So have been double charged for same.

[Name Removed] advised once these bank statements were sent through (proof of being charged by Wotif and Cathay), wotif would contact Cathay to advise the tickets were already paid for through Wotif and for Cathay Pacific to refund the charges to me for the seat selections.

Can you please confirm receipt of this email and advise the outcome.

take your money but leave you in your own if there is any issue with your travels. Appalling customer service with no way of seeking compensation. I am out of pocket by $1,500 due to a simple error that they could not rectify and they couldn’t care less. Be very careful using their services.

to discover that instead of providing a straightforward refund, Wotif only offers a credit for the funds. To make matters worse, they then require you to pay an excess amount just to reclaim your money! This process feels misleading and unfair to customers who might prefer getting their funds back rather than dealing with credits and additional charges.

The entire experience was frustrating and left me feeling stranded with no clear resolution. The customer service also lacked empathy and was unhelpful in resolving the issue, making it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority at Wotif.

Save yourself the hassle and stress—strongly reconsider using Wotif for booking any trip. Their refund policies are a nightmare, and you deserve a service that values its customers and their hard-earned money. Stay away!

travelling with a dog. Advised staff we only stayed for pool and asked if we could cancel. Was told she was happy to cancel, but we needed to do it through Wotif. We left accommodation and tried to cancel through Wotif. After dealing with the chat bot, then an agent was sent an email saying they could not cancel. Emailed the accommodation and they are now not replying. I have to go through the ACCC and my Credit card now. Would not recommend Wotif or Apollo.

Wotif advertised a hotel in Brisbane at the Kingsford Riverside Inn . The hotel was absolutely disgusting nothing like the photos Wotif advertised. They didn't say it was shared bathroom & toilet. I will never use Wotif again. I want a refund.

Wotif are rubbish! If you want to get ripped off, do an online booking with them for a specific date, only to find out they have jumped you forward a month to a date you didn't choose! In the meantime, they take your money, but can't supply the service! Buyer beware! Show details

Never book with Expedia or Wotif. I arrived at my 4-star hotel to find a room that reeked of mould — it was so strong we couldn’t stay in it. The second room was just as bad. The hotel admitted the problem and approved a refund, but Expedia/Wotif refused to honour it. I was exhausted, stressed, and forced to book a new hotel at my own expense. I’ve never felt so unsupported by a booking platform. I don’t want anyone else to go through this. Show details
