Wridgways - By far the worst company in the industry (absolutely disgraceful!)
What a nightmare using Wridgways! (or trying to)
100% avoid this company at all cost (if they still even exist as a company) and the management team just do not care about their customers at all.
We had an interstate move booked in several months in advance with Wridgways.
2 business days prior to our move, we receive a brief email from the sales rep advising they can no longer do our interstate move.
We had paid in full one week prior. We had also confirmed with them 4 or 5 times in the 2 weeks leading up to the move and had it in writing many times our moved was booked in and our uplift and delivery dates were all confirmed.

Your representatives uplifted our two bed apartment on the 1st June from Canberra for delivery to the Goldcoast on the 7th June.
We have been unofficially made aware that Wridgways has gone into administration. I have spoken to a couple of the representatives that were involved in our uplift on the day, both of whom advised that they have been made redundant along with the majority of their colleagues.
To date we have received no contact from anyone at Wridgways regarding the status of our container. We are living out of a suitcase ...
Ongoing Ordeal with Wridgways
We contracted Wridgways and paid them in advance on May 10 to move our household items from NSW to Victoria. On May 17 which was the agreed pick up date we suddenly get an SMS from their customer rep advising us that his GM told him that they cannot pick up our stuff and that we should just look for another removalist. Repeated calls to the rep and to his GM to discuss the matter went unanswered. With the handover of our house to the agent for final inspection by the buyer already scheduled on May 19 we were really caught in a bind. While their...customer rep informed us via SMS that we need to first fill up a refund form which we duly accomplished on the same day, as of today June 1 we have not received the refund despite repeated follow ups. Because of this we suffered a lot of emotional and mental stress trying to find another removalist in such short notice and ended up incurring more expenses. The least that Wridgways can do is to refund immediately the payment for the service which they failed and refused to render!

Whole household lost/stolen
6 weeks after pick up of a full household (2 shipping containers) we can't get any valid information on where our household is. No return phone calls, text messages or emails. If you don't want to lose everything you own, don't choose Wridgways. They owe a lot of people money a lot of money and this is causing delays and the holding of innocent bystanders possessions to ransom. 1 star was mandatory..
Poor service, avoid!!
Poor responsiveness. Been waiting a month longer than quoted delivery time. Supposed to arrive in mid April. Hadn’t even left the destination at that point but no one bothered to tell us. Have had contact with 12 different people and still no one can tell me clearly where my stuff is. Do not use.

Too many problems
After the friendly guys from Dandenong picked up our belongings from our home in the Yarra Valley on the 11th March it was promised to be delivered on the 26th March, after many excuses of rain delays and not paying their bills to other 3rd party carriers it is now nearing the end of May. Under no circumstances use this company. They are under liquidation. They transfer your complaints onto message banks and don’t return your calls.

Avoid at all costs
Ridgeways was great at first. They collected my furniture on the 25th of February 2021. It’s now the middle of May and I haven’t seen my furniture and don’t think I ever will as no one can give me answers to my calls and emails. Avoid at all costs

Completely unreliable and inept communication
After having stored a house worth of goods with them for 10 years as was living o/s we are now trying to get it out of storage. We had a date booked last week and they literally cancelled 20 minutes before they were due to arrive. Via email. No reasonable explanation given. 3 business days later and still now follow up on when delivery can be rescheduled and no expectations set. Will we be 1 week, 1 month or 1 year without our stuff. Who knows? Incurring out of pocket costs by the day as now need to either extend temporary accommodation or start furnishings current place with the basics - not to mention the stress and anxiety thisnis causing. Absolutely furious and disgusted with the service from this 'professional' removal company.
Unable to keep confirmed delivery dates and no reason provided why
My partner and I organised to move interstate with WridgWays from Perth to Sydney and all was going moderately well, a couple hick-ups here and there but nothing too much to worry about until it was time to deliver to the new apartment in Sydney.
We had confirmed a date with our customer rep and had it confirmed again in a separate email by the Sydney local scheduler however at 5.30pm the day before the scheduled delivery they advised in an email that the delivery would not go ahead. After extensively trying to contact someone at WridgWays t...hrough emails and phone calls we were told that we would get an SMS with a new delivery date. This SMS was received and just said that that WridgWays would be unable to complete the delivery due to "unexpected access issues'. After further emails and phone calls we were then told that delivery would be scheduled in another "2 weeks or so". This has left myself in another state with only a suit case and needing to pay for rent of a apartment I cannot live in, extend temporary accommodation, only being able to buy meals as I have no kitchen appliances, book further days off work to accommodate the new 'yet to be scheduled' delivery date and delay flights for my partner and dog to come live with me. Through all this WridgWays have not provided any information of the security of my Property or the actual nature of the issue. All in all I'm now out of pocket and in a new state loosing money by the day with no end date in sight because WridgWays could not keep their promises.
Waste of time and money
Made the mistake of getting Wridgways to move my items from Karratha to Perth. Initially, they seemed like there were on top of it. A week before the move they called to say they couldn’t do the date I locked in months before. I said that is the only date we can do and will it be an issue, they said no. A couple of days before the move I get an email saying they can’t do that date and they will be in a week later. Again, told them we won’t be home and if it’s an issue to let me know, got told they worked it out and it’s fine. The day of the mov...e, 12.30pm rolls along and my husband gets a call to say the truck broke down and they won’t be in but they will come another day. Straight away I asked for a full refund. I was told it takes 15-20 business days to process a refund and I’m still waiting 23 days later and no response to my emails and still over $2k out of pocket. Edit: 37 days later and still no refund. A lot of excuses but still withholding my refund. I’ve since read the company has had some part or all go into liquidation so be careful on who you put your money into to move your belongings. They are also very hard to get a hold off when you do need to contact them.
Terrible, Poor and Unprofessional Customer Service (Please go with somebody else)
Some bullet points below:
1. They dont have an automated electronic system to track the progress of move and keep you updated.
2. They dont answer the calls, had to call many times without any follow up calls from them. Very unprofessional.
3. The car and pet services were so disorganised and caused me last minute delays. They made me cancel last minute and go with somebody else. Please organise these services separately and directly with suppliers.
4. Their banking and payment system is so disorganised that they ripped me off my money for car...

Bunch of criminals totally avoid!
Moved from Melbourne to Cairns. WridgWays collected and loaded my worldly belongings from my storage facility in Hallam on 12/02/2021 to be delivered mid March 2021. I am still trying to get any of my things delivered. Having called every contact number provided and them all to go to message banks, leaving numerous messages on any provided it took a family member on 15/4/2021 to physically drive down to the Dandenong branch and find someone. That someone is [Name Removed]- chief commercial officer. [Name Removed] then added me into an email to ...[Name Removed]- Area Manager : Queensland/Darwin to schedule delivery of my items. Having waited many more days I called [Name Removed] directly to find out what is going on??? [Name Removed] essentially washed his hands of my delivery reinforcing that [Name Removed] is who I need to deal with. Neither [Name Removed] or [Name Removed] are helping at all and I hold the Dandenong South office responsible as that’s the last proof that I have that WridgWays has my furniture. WridgWays is quick and courteous with taking full payment out off your pocket but that’s where it stops. I have been out to the advertised Cairns facility which is closed down with a for lease sign out the front. I found another WridgWays facility at 19 Redden street Cairns which is locked down due to not paying their rent. As of 04/05/2021 I still sit here in an empty apartment on a camping chair no wiser to when or if I am ever going to get my stuff. I am at a total loss. All I can do at this time is to do my best to get the word out where I can to anyone considering using WridgWays to look elsewhere. This company is dodgy to say the absolute least!

Never use this company unless you want to experience a homeless lifestyle.
Uplift was on 22/03/2021 in Melbourne, and the delivery date was supposed to be 31/03/2021 in Sydney. Nothing happened on the day, and no one noticed me about the delay. I called them, and they said they have no idea where my furniture at. I asked them the approximate date of the delivery date. The answer is no idea. Then I requested compensation. The customer relationship manager told me there is no compensation and will forward my case to the seniors. Since then, they just disappeared. Three weeks have passed now, and no senior manager ever c...ontacted me. I tried to contact them via email several times(cc'ed both firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com). They never reply. I tried to call them in the office. They heard it was me then hanged me up three times. My partner and I have been sleeping on the ground with no access to many things. Wridgways have caused severe mental depression to us. We live like homeless and have no idea when my furniture will be delivered. Their customer service is 0 once you paid your money. The sales and uplift service were good. However, once you paid your money and they took your belongings, the nightmare begins. By reading other reviews, I understand that I'm not the only one being treated like this. Really disappointed as this is my first time using a removalist.
A very happy customer
Single house moving from Toowoomba to Cairns and the move was as smooth as possible. Every step was painless, communication was transparent and the company was professional from every angle
- NT, Pinelands
Smooth and no fuss move
We had 32 boxes prepacked with household belongings to be moved from The Shoalhaven NSW to Darwin NT.
From the quote and follow ups to the actual uplift, transport and drop off it has been simple, no problems.
All the staff we dealt with were helpful, friendly and efficient.
Very happy with the 4 weeks wait rather than the 4-6 that was quoted. (With COVID I feel this is a really good effort)
I really recommend Wridgways way over another company that had quoted but who proved to be disappointing and unreliable.
Questions & Answers
I am trying to have my shipment delivered and have requested Wridgways that they do this ASAP. My shipment has been in storage with Wridgways for some time now. I first of all heard nothing from them. Then tried telephoning them using tel nos I had in my correspondence with them. The numbers now do not exist. The latest communication was from the Chief Commercial Officer who promised to pass my request to a Branch Handler. Nothing happened as yet. the worst is you cannot actually get anybody to respond to.
I am experiencing 3xqbtky the same issues. Trying to get stuff out of storage that has been with them for 10 years. Even had a date booked and they cancelled the morning of delivery. No reasonable response from anyone. Absolutely useless.
I’m waiting for belongings picked up on 21 and 22 September 2020; I was told it had left WA on 26/12/2020. On checking the ship today, it’s en route to China. I am not in China.
Do you know when my belongings will be delivered?
