Dreadful sloppy lazy removal company
QLD, GarbuttWas having a stem cell transplant was told I was going to die and on top of that going through a divorce- on top of court, illness and Federal Court WridgWays destroyed ever price of furniture - Moran couch ripped $19’000 table marked deeply and chairs broken - disgusting service 0/10
They’ve gone broke… can’t find my belongings
WridgWaysWridgways has had my shipment since before the start of covid. I couldn’t travel
But was assured everything was safe and secure in melb. I didn’t know they went into receivership. No contact from company. Now no one can help me find my stuff! Contacted Kent’s removals who took over their warehouses… and they don’t seem to care at all. This is everything that is meaningful in my life.. Missing!
Any one got any suggestions? Or similar experiences? Msg me [Contact Detail Removed]
It's a Big SCAM
NSW, VillawoodI booked a relocation of my household stuff (2 bedroom & study) with WridgWays removalists from Seven Hills to Glenwood on 15/06/21. It was booked almost a month in advance. The booking was confirmed verbally over the phone as well as through email correspondence. I was advised to make a payment of $2200, two weeks in advance. I made the full payment of $2200 on 28/05/21 through a bank transfer. Nobody turned up for the relocation on the mentioned date and I was not able to contact anyone through emails or by phone on the date of booking. Later
... Read more on, I got a reply that my booking was cancelled due to unavailability of trucks. Due to this, I had to book a different removalist and had to pay extra and had to go through significant financial & mental trauma. I requested a refund of my money. For the last month, I have sent multiple emails to multiple people (including case officer, manager, financial officer, and CEO) regarding the refund, but I never got any satisfactory reply. I am going through significant mental trauma to recover my hard-earned money. It’s a big scam. Don’t even think about going with WridgWays.Don't even try them
QLD, GarbuttI had moved from Wagga to Townsville a few years back and my stuff arrived 6 weeks late in terrible condition. I gave them another chance moving to Brisbane and they lost my belongings, wouldn't return my calls or assist in any way. They also forgot half of my things and told me on the day it was due, that I would have to wait a few weeks for them to bring the rest because they were busy.
I reached out on social media and I was told it was too late, my stuff was gone and if I wanted, I could have the $600 to claim their insurance.
Go with someone else - this company is a joke. I also heard they were closing down, I'm not surprised.

Theyre gone now, you cant book them in their current state
ACT, QueanbeyanI moved not even a full container of furniture from Canberra to Townsville. I waited a grand total of 12 weeks for my container to arrive.
Most of my texts, emails were ignored or palmed off. Upon delivery, some of the items were broken, and the only response was you didnt pay for insurance.
Any requests for a refund of payments made in advance were ignored. Communication was basically not done, until they were ready to front up with answers.
Theyre now out of the business, and not a moment too soon.
Ive mow moved from Townsville to Darwin, and a bigger shipment has made that journey in not even 5 days... Go with Kents
Don’t want to pay out. One said electric Bose Bikes are expensive so we should take them apart ,no respect.
QLDStay away from Wridgeways they promise something they can’t deliver, the want receipts for something over 12 years old , pictures, they want you as the customer to find a replacement then they want you as the customer to arrange three repair quotes, they are quick enough to take your contract, take you money for upload and download of your furniture and take a high premium for non insistent insurance. One Wridgeways staff told me that a member of Wridgeways used his company , took insurance out and after 6 months still haven’t been paid out !!!!! What does that say, not professional in any way / STAY AWAY who audits companies like this, Too many broken antique, plant stand, standard lamps, etc
Avoid this company at all costs!!
WA, BunburyWe made the mistake of contracting with Wridgways Removalists to ship our furniture from WA to NSW. NEVER AGAIN! We arrived in NSW on the contracted date for delivery to find nothing. Phone calls to WA, NSW and to Head Office in Victoria were left unanswered. Emails and texts were ignored. We finally made contact with someone in Bunbury who told us the shipment hadn't even left Perth and wasn't going to be shipped for another 2 weeks! The WA Area Manager eventually offered apologies and to put us up in a motel for two weeks until our shipment a

When our shipment finally arrived in NSW (the container hadn't been cleaned and our furniture was filthy) and we checked out of the motel, the Wridgways Credit Card bounced and we had to pay the bill ourselves! Two months later, we still haven't received the $500 refund - the WA Area Manager has quit, the Accounts Dept. ignores our calls and emails, the "Customer Service" agent says they won't answer her email either! NOTHING this company has done showed that they were capable of effective, efficient or professional service. Use them at your own risk! Avoid them at all costs.Don’t move with them please
VIC, Dandenong SouthWe moved our household with WridgWays from Melbourne 11 days ago. They can not give us any information when we will be receiving our furniture. The numbers of the head office and the Victoria office and the Brisbane office does not answer or disconnected. After contacting the only person we can access several times, now we have been told that the company has issues and we will hear on the news about the issues that they have. Please don’t use them as removalists.
Do Not Give Money To This Company
VIC, Dandenong SouthIt's business as usual for this company if you view their website or Facebook page and they still have a sales department!
As countless reviews here have already mentioned this company have no trouble booking your move and taking your money but the weeks following on from that have been nothing short of a total crap show.
We engaged Wridgways in late May to move our household contents from Perth to QLD. Our goods were collected on June 2 and we were advised it would take 10 to 15 working days. Thank goodness we decided to drive over. At least
... Read more we have a car to our name. The company representative responsible for our move left the company a week after our goods were collected and another person was assigned to our move. We tried to make contact with this person for days but messages and emails went unanswered. A week later (on the est arrival date of our storage container) we got a call letting us know our move had been delayed but that was all. No idea where it was or what the hold up was about. It took several more phone calls later to learn that our container hadn't even left Perth. By this stage we were already in our new rental in QLD sleeping in an empty house on a camping mattress with our 10yr old child. It seems Wridgways have gone into liquidation (or that they owe lots of people money and can't afford to pay it) and the rail service that is responsible for moving our belongings to Perth is winding up their operations with Wridgways so I guess our container isn't going to leave Perth in a hurry. To cut a long story short between the intermittent communication and misinformation, 5 weeks down the track we still have no idea when our furniture is going to leave Perth and arrive at our new home in QLD.Find out how WridgWays compares to other Furniture Removalists

Do not use
ACT, QueanbeyanUsed WridgWays for downsize into apartment with storage and then interstate move. Took out top insurance. First move by contractor was fabulous. Second move by ACT WridgWays a disaster. They damaged 2 bedroom suites, dining table, bike, lamp, 2 fridges, dropped a new smart tv and did not properly protect sofas and mattresses. Bolts for furniture were misplaced and the Brisbane crew, who were very apologetic about all the damage had to repackage much of the furniture when it arrived in Queensland. Our moves were at least on time and it looks li
... Read moreke we were lucky to receive our belongings. The insurance claim took 3 months to settle because of the tv and the receipts, photos and detail asked for..stalling! It was obvious we were dealing with someone overseas. The insurance was new for old but not worth what we paid and was underwritten by WridgWays!! We’ve now waited 4 months and no insurance has been paid out after numerous emails and phone calls. We spent over $10000 on our moves and we’re especially disappointed by our consultant in ACT who we thought we had a good relationship with, and could trust.Wridgways - By far the worst company in the industry (absolutely disgraceful!)
NSWWhat a nightmare using Wridgways! (or trying to)
100% avoid this company at all cost (if they still even exist as a company) and the management team just do not care about their customers at all.
We had an interstate move booked in several months in advance with Wridgways.
2 business days prior to our move, we receive a brief email from the sales rep advising they can no longer do our interstate move.
We had paid in full one week prior. We had also confirmed with them 4 or 5 times in the 2 weeks leading up to the move and had it in writing many times our moved was booked in and our uplift and delivery dates were all confirmed.
Please respond

Your representatives uplifted our two bed apartment on the 1st June from Canberra for delivery to the Goldcoast on the 7th June.
We have been unofficially made aware that Wridgways has gone into administration. I have spoken to a couple of the representatives that were involved in our uplift on the day, both of whom advised that they have been made redundant along with the majority of their colleagues.
To date we have received no contact from anyone at Wridgways regarding the status of our container. We are living out of a suitcase

Ongoing Ordeal with Wridgways
NSWWe contracted Wridgways and paid them in advance on May 10 to move our household items from NSW to Victoria. On May 17 which was the agreed pick up date we suddenly get an SMS from their customer rep advising us that his GM told him that they cannot pick up our stuff and that we should just look for another removalist. Repeated calls to the rep and to his GM to discuss the matter went unanswered. With the handover of our house to the agent for final inspection by the buyer already scheduled on May 19 we were really caught in a bind. While their
... Read more customer rep informed us via SMS that we need to first fill up a refund form which we duly accomplished on the same day, as of today June 1 we have not received the refund despite repeated follow ups. Because of this we suffered a lot of emotional and mental stress trying to find another removalist in such short notice and ended up incurring more expenses. The least that Wridgways can do is to refund immediately the payment for the service which they failed and refused to render!Whole household lost/stolen
QLD, Acacia Ridge6 weeks after pick up of a full household (2 shipping containers) we can't get any valid information on where our household is. No return phone calls, text messages or emails. If you don't want to lose everything you own, don't choose Wridgways. They owe a lot of people money a lot of money and this is causing delays and the holding of innocent bystanders possessions to ransom. 1 star was mandatory..
Poor service, avoid!!
QLDPoor responsiveness. Been waiting a month longer than quoted delivery time. Supposed to arrive in mid April. Hadn’t even left the destination at that point but no one bothered to tell us. Have had contact with 12 different people and still no one can tell me clearly where my stuff is. Do not use.
