Wulfe Heat Pump Water Heater Questions & Answers
VerifiedMy plumber has installed our wpw330m9 heat pump and left, unit is requesting a password and we have no paperwork, likely that the paperwork work has gone in trash as is a new house build and unit has been installed for a few weeks
Hi Matthew. Merry Christmas. Please let us know your builder and or the Plumber and we can coordinate with assisting the commissioning by the installing plumber.
Ok my heater is installed and operating just fine. I now want to set the timer. I cant get the display to function at all. Have tried the unlock (timer and boost together ) but nah….. The unit is full of hot water so the compressor is not running. So what do i do now?
Hi Brian, thanks for your question. We've never had a unit fail to unlock - pressing Timer & Boost together, you should hear a beep after holding both buttons for ~6 seconds or so. Release the buttons when you hear the beep and you'll be able to set your timers (video guides are available here: external link .
Solved. The old gpo on my wall did not suit the shape of the 240 volt plug fitted to the heater. It had been working but had slowly come adrift. I will get the gpo changed since it is a older unit. Very happy with the heater so far.
Excellent! Glad you were able to identify the issue, Brian, and very pleased to hear you are happy with your heat pump! Thank you for choosing Wulfe. :)
Can a 190 ltre unit be plugged into a 10 amp gpo ( old gas instantaneous heater used this gpo for its elect control)
Thanks for your question Brian, yes, Wulfe heat pumps can be plugged into any 10A general purpose outlet.
How can i increase my water temperature?
Do we have to go through the whole activation process to use the heat pump? We want to install it as a temporary measure whilst building our home
I probably should add that we are owner builders living on the premises in a caravan
What is the sequence of touches to slightly lower set temperature of 200 heat pump, and does the on/off button tell me I can make changes to original setting of timers?
Hi Doug, you can use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the temperature. Also check our website where we have videos on how to setup your heat pump and timers here: external link
How long will it take to get "goverment rebate" back after the plumber has done his job
The rebate isn't claimed by the purchaser, it is suppose to be taken of the price and the seller claims the rebate from the govt. so I can't answer this question other than to make sure your price is minus the rebate.

How to cancel L2
Hi stan79, thanks for your question. L2 is the secondary timer - if you don't need to use this, you can set it to all zeros.
What size of heat pump would I need for a 3 bedroom, single storey, with one person living in the house?
Hi Cindy, thank you for your question. A 200L unit would be ideal for a single person, however we generally advise installing a unit to suit the house - if your house has 3 bedrooms, it could potentially support a family of 3 or 4 people, and if all are using hot water, a 250L unit would be a better option for a 3-bedroom house.
On a warm spring day after the Wulfe 250 has been run a few days and has got to 60C at least once, how long should it take to heat back up to 60C after a few showers. 1 hour? 8 hours? A very rough est. is fine.

What should be the temperature for the heated water?
Hi Steven, the best temperature setting for system efficiency and longevity is 60°C. The maximum set point is 75°C, however, we do not recommend a setting this high, as the efficiency of the system drops away at higher temperatures.
