ear bleed sadly this is above my pay bracket but it's a brand I truly trusted so much that I still have Two formulars that I haven't started using yet because it seemed cost effective to have one Extra. I was advised by the doctor to change formular and beside my pocket feeling the pitch it disheartening to now have to find a different product when i have seen great results with this for over six years. - I am based in Durban South Africa and I had bought this at Clicks In Gateway.

Very terrible – My 8 week old was on S-26 since 3 weeks old all this has done is vomiting was fine when I started to put her on it just a few weeks and she started to be sick on it I don't recommend it at all. All she has is coming down sick on it.  Show details

I will not recommend – I had no choice but to use this when I had my c section, and didn't have milk yet, I continued to use it for 2 weeks because my breast milk was not enough.. So Disappointed! – My baby girl has been on S26 Gold since birth. I was running low so I went to the supermarket to purchase a tin. to throw it up and had painful Gas. I called the number on the "new tin" and found out there was a change in formula. They said that the change was "so minuscule" that they didn't need to advertise that on the tin. I am livid that you thought it was okay to leave this information off! If i was aware i would have slowly transitioned her to the new Tin. Now i have a baby that wont keep her milk down. I went hunting to find the old tin to transition her back! again this is a process that she has to go through to no fault of her own. So Disappointed! Now i have to pray that i can find the old ones in the supermarkets. I will be transitioning to another brand in the coming months!

Good formula for all 3 of my children as toddlers 1 + – I liked the smell personal I found some other cheaper brands had a very strong smell, like acrid off smell where as this quite light and pleasant. Same goes for the taste as far as I the adult could tell, this formula tasted nicer and not as strong. because of the formula. They had no trouble digesting it after being breast fed. My 3rd child never had it and went straight to milk post 1 years old because he had a fantastic immune system. They all attended day care go figure, the other two weren't sickly children but they got cold etc more often than my youngest, even though my eldest and youngest ate very healthily with plenty of veggies and fruit in their diets and very little sugar. My middle was fussier and sickest. Maybe it's genetics but long story short I tried a few times when my first two were young between ages 1-3.5 to stop formula for a few months but noticed a big difference in the frequency and duration of sickness and put them back on.

Trusted brand of formula – My son has just turned one, and we have been using S26 Gold since he was born (due to lots of issues with breastfeeding). It was recommended to us by the hospital and our GP, and he has never had any issues using it (e.g. no issues with constipation). It's easy to prepare (60ml cooled boiled water per scoop of formula) and the tin has a built-in metal 'lip' allowing you to quickly level-off each scoop rather than having to find and use a knife every time (handy for those middle of the night feeds!!!). If you're out and about, an easy option is to carry bottles of boiled water and just mix-in the formula (carry it in a formula dispenser) when you need to feed bub (my son has always been happy to drink formula warmed or at room temperature if we are out-and-about). If we have bub #2 and similar breastfeeding issues arise I wouldn't hesitate using S26 Gold again. As with anything baby-related, talk to your doctor or health nurse to determine the best option for your little one.

Can’t find it anywhere – I have a 16 weeks old son and we used to give him s26 gold, it’s been a couple of weeks that I can’t find it anywhere!! Is there anybody who knows what’s going on? Is it discontinued or will be back ?

Love this formula – I've been really happy with the Gold Junior formula. I like that it has a prebiotic, but no added flavours. My son enjoys drinking the product and I can easily switch between the junior milk and cow's milk with no tummy problems. Show details

Great product – I've had no problems with the S-26 formulas. My son made an easy transition to the toddler milk (after moving from S-26 Gold Progress, and before that, Gold Newborn). I was keen to use toddler milk with the added nutrients, particularly zinc and iron, as I try to increase the variety of foods in his diet. Show details

Causes constipation – I started using Alula Gold as was the formula they gave in the hospital. First few months I didn’t notice anything as it was given just as top up for my breast milk. Once my supply decreased, I started to give my baby bigger amounts and he started to be constantly constipated. Made my baby constipated ! – This formula may agree with some babies although my 3 month old was on this formula for a month and it made him severely constipated. We tried so many methods to treat the constipation (medication, massages, bicycles, many warm baths) before realising it was actually the formula not agreeing with him. medical assistance to manually extract his faeces and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had to put my little one through. We switched formula cold turkey to Nan comfort and you could instantly tell that my baby was a whole new person - happiest I’ve ever seen him be in a long time.. and same goes for me.

Make cramps on new born babies – Don't wast your money on Alula's formulas, I give for my new born baby, she cries all day and night and had lots of gas and cramps pain in her stomach. I used Nan Suprem pro 1 and was very good enough. Thanks Show details

Not recommended – This formula is not good don't use it. My son was so gasy the whole time he had it constipated and crying at night but we did not know the reason that time . I accidentally swapped formula when went to india to nestle nan he got better. I dont onow why hospitals recommend this formula to new parents. Now i have. disappointed with this, It cost a lot of money, I changed stores but we having the same issues, One of the Tins was sealed with no scoop are the stuff quality checked considering this is for babies ???

Don’t – I was given this alula formula and tried it when my bub was 11months. I still feel guilty because of what I made the poor baby go through. Upset tummy with diarrhoea, pain and crying during the night after only a few scoops. No good. Show details

Not recommending it – My daughter is 13 months old she loves it, we been using it for a week now but the issue she's been crying for days now because she can't poop and she's very gasy, I've given her boiled water to easy her stool but still nothing is coming out. I am switching to another product am very disappointed with it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Made my new born sick – I tried to feed her ready made s26, for few days and was also breastfeeding at times, she throws up so bad with her nose and mouth. I stopped using it and she was fine, I tried it again after a month and the same thing happened. 0 to 6 month ready made s26. Show details

supplement of breast milk, in situation that we don’t have enough(one or two feeds in a day). Can’t imagining for those formula feed babies if they use this.

Worst Formula ever – Not recommended. This is worst formula ever. It gave my baby hard times. My baby was crying with pain and gas everyday. Finally changed formula to other brand and baby is completely fine. Show details

New packaging fine, why did your'll have to change the taste too??? – My son has been on S26 gold from birth and its been good to him untill now with the new packing. even after finishing the full box still i feel he hates the taste and has constipation and passing green coloured stool every 3rd day and has lost his appetite looking unhappy and weak. Someone from s-26 team called me and guided me a lot that I appreciate but I stopped S-26 gold and with in a week of leaving this formula my baby is back on right track, looking happy, in a good health and fresh no gas and no constipation. Regularly passing stool(green color has changed to yellow) and sleeping so well.

Clumps everytime – The s26 gold newborn was great our bubs loved it and we never had any issues, however after switching to follow up all we have had is problems, every feed it clumps and blocks the teats no matter how we mix it or what teats we use. We prefer to use room temperature so warm water isn't an option. I'm just disappointed by how it clumps so much making feeds a nightmare. Show details

New recipe really bad on my newborn – I used the old recipe for my elder son back 4 years that suit him but the new recipe is really really bad on my newborn baby. Hate this new look – Just like to know, you guys have changed the total taste compare to before and say just the look has changed. Babies know better than us is true, baby refuses the new one and neither she likes any other formula, give me solution what can do for her to accept the new taste. The perfect formula for our baby – My baby loves this formula, it sat well in his tummy from the first time we tried it, no issues at all. We started using it just for night time feeds to help fill him up a bit more for bed (2 months ago) and now we use formula for most feeds as I am weaning him off breastfeeding as my supply is low. it mixes really well and easy to prepare. Show details

Recommended by my midwife – This was recommended by my midwife, HOWEVER… my baby refused to drink it. We purchased a whole can but sadly the whole can went to waste. I’ve never seen him so mad before!!! He just cried and cried. As soon as I gave him breast milk he was happy again. I can’t say I’ll be using it again if my baby doesn’t like it.

Formula changed with packaging – My two year old was on all stages of this brand and was fine until the tin package changed. I thought it was just packaging change but now she refuses to drink that one saying it’s “yucky”. Formula defiantly changed as I gave her the old one and she drank with no issues. My six month old has become gassy and upset all the time since the change. Such a shame as no issues prior to the change so will have to source a new brand. Very disappointed  Show details

High quality formula – I used this formula in the first few days in the hospital, when my baby was always crying and I didn’t have enough milk. I was reluctant using the formula, but a very experienced nurse said it’s fine and I can still breastfeed after.
