Horrible company. They do not respond to any of your emails or texts and their payouts are extremely low although you had a good policy. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Been trying to reach them for weeks and they do not care at all!!! Horrible scam!!!! Show details

Scammers. Paid for ticket protection as we have two family members who have been in hospital and aren’t expected to make it. Wasted my time and money. I contracted a FULL PROTECTION COVER across eBay when I was buying a computer. The computer had issues after 4 months so I requested Xcover to help with it. They never answered me. After 3 months I still see the message at the top saying "Your documents have been submitted and are ready for assessment. Now, I came back on 13 Oct here to tell you all that my claim was not passed. They kept on asking more evidence in form of video but they haven't provided much space to share the video. Initially they said, "if I am unable to upload, then share the drive link". On sharing the link, then they keep asking for video. It's a full cr^p. Don't rely on this insurance provider.

unable to go and in the policy I supposedly covered for this. But suprise they refused to pay out because beyond my control I was unable to provide a certain document.

PLEASE, PLEASE think carefully before taking out this policy I don't want other people to be ripped off. I shall certainly not use or recommend this company to anyone. I will also expect to get the generic copy and paste response everyone gets as they can't be butted to type a personal response, says it all really Happy to help my butt.

I unfortunately had a change in health and provided a medical certificate and my claim was approved within 12 hours for a full refund. Took Xcover cancellation on 10k Cosmos tour in September- cost around $200 and well worth it. When husband diagnosed serious illness a couple weeks ago and we had to cancel, cancellation fee was the deposit paid. Claim was relatively simple, online, with documents demonstrating cancellation fee and husband's diagnosis. Claim paid within 1 week, in full and no fuss. I would use them again. Show details

It was offered as an extra on booking.com and the description was deceptive saying it would cover you travel (not just to]he one booking for that day. EXPENSIVE if you were to use it all the way for your holiday. I booked it for a one day booking, then when I realised it was for just that one day I tried to cancel it immediately but they refused. I bought x cover with my flights, through booking.com. Then my travel date changed. I contacted them so many times to ask to amend the period of insurance. Someone responded telling me that I can change it online. I tried, it didnt work. I emailed and emailed again, still no response. Then I made my trip, bought insurance from other company… Read more

(technically paid double for insurance). Then on the very last day of my trip they responded saying “it’s not possible to amend the date”. Luckily I didnt wait for them to reply or I would have been left uninsured for my trip. I definitely will not use this company again and do mot recommend this company.

acknowledged and settled, I finally received an Email from XCover.com yesterday, saying that they could not find my Claim under the policy number provided. My claim was for a flight cancellation with Trip.com. The circumstances of my claim were emailed to XCover.com on 31.03.26. My policy was 'Comprehensive Travel Protection', with a 'Cancellation Guarantee'. Insurance protection cover period was 25/3/26 - 30/3/26, yet XCover.com cancelled my protection on 27th March. My claim for flight cancellation costs was submitted immediately following this (28.03.26). Trip.com refunded a small amount of the flights costs and suggested that the remaining costs be claimed from XCover.com.

XCover.com have refuted my claim. The statistics ratings on Product Review speak for themselves, i.e. 2 1/2 Stars out of 5 for this company.

I would not recommend XCover.com for travel insurance.

I purchased this to cover my trip back in 2024 to Wichita Falls, TX. I specifically got it to cover my hotel stay. I ended up getting sick and was unable to go due to my type 2 diabetes. XCover.com denied my claim, stating it doesn't cover issues that arise from pre-existing conditions. I lost the money I paid to both XCover.com and the hotel. I couldn't get a refund on two tickets I purchased because there was a devastating bushfire that took out 14 houses on the route to Sydney and the trains and freeway was closed. Technically it wasn't a "Railway Strike". It would have cost double what I paid for the tickets to get to the venue. Absolute garbage insurance. Show details

Beware. Scam. My one star is pretty much the same reason as every other 1 star review. Zero customer service, it’s hard to discuss semantics and ‘wording’ of the product I bought with AI generated emails, they made assumptions of my situation without contacting me. They even told my tour operator I had inadequate paperwork without requesting more… Read more

before declining. Mine was a cancellation of a tour for medical reasons. You think you are covered but when you cancel your tickets and make a claim there is no going back so you are stuck reading the same generic emails, freaking out over the money you have just lost, vague reasons for declining and no customer support whatsoever. I was made to feel like an id*ot, I still do to be honest. Ambiguous and certain wording of the travel insurance product allows the company to have many excuses not to pay. It makes it extremely hard to argue against. You shouldn’t have to be a lawyer or underwriter to understand a travel insurance certificate/ product before you make a claim. You also shouldn’t have to find the ‘fine print’ and exception's through links in your certificate instead of being included on your certificate and initial product email. One of the reviews on this site even states they asked them first prior to making a claim and said they were covered and they weren’t. I am disappointed mostly due to the fact that they were recommended and sold to me by Lux escapes and it surprises me they sell such a product, I trusted them as a company so I bought it without due diligence on my part. I do normally read internet reviews extensively prior to buying insurance, after a short period of time researching Xcover I certainly wouldn’t have used them and or tried to make a claim and used a different avenue if possible to recoup the money I spent on this tour or changed dates. There is many other cheaper products out there that are actually ‘comprehensive’ with certificates and products with clearer wording, and who have actual customer service and support.

XCover is very misleading when they offer you coverage, and actually cover very little. I encourage people to read through the terms and conditions thoroughly because this insurance company is a complete rip off.
