Novelty Gift Heaven – I love Yellow Octopus, I've only used their online store (which is a breeze to navigate). They have a great range of products witch prices to match. They stock something for everyone; boys/girls, young/old, funny/serious you can't go wrong. The shipping/delivery rates, both domestic & international are very reasonable. Wacky birthdays and workplace secret santas are no longer stressful thanks to Yellow Octopus!

Good service. Loved the product & delivered quickly. Will buy again – Site was very easy to navigate, with heaps of products to choose from. The product arrived well wrapped and boxed. It looks good. Very cute! My grandson loves it too!

Terrible customer service – Purchased Xmas presents online Sunday as delivery could be made by Xmas. Received notification from auspost that delivery was on its way with all items ordered. 3 days later and 1 day from delivery received notification that 1 item was out of stock. Very poor form as I now don’t have time to post another item in for Xmas. First and last time I use this company. Poor form

Love the store – Made my first purchase online and selected click & collect at their Moorabbin store. It was ready to be picked up within by the afternoon. I went in and then purchased more stuff! Great site, great store, unique products, friendly staff. Could not have asked for more.

Not as good as expected – I read all the reviews and this lot is the best of the best, YET still falls short in my book...I tell you why. 1.) Many, about 50% in my case of the surveys CANT be completed with the mobile app. WHY ??? This is really annoying as you just want to be able to do this while you are waiting for something, or on the bus etc fill in time. 2.) … Read more

Quite a few of the survey crashed on me and that happened just about at the end of the survey after I had spent my time answering questions. Now a suspicious mind would say that this is a clever way of getting all the answers and not paying up....I am not saying that, cause I am not that suspicious. However, I have wasted my time and didn't get anything for that.

3.) You will NOT get paid for every survey you start. It's called SCREENED OUT. They ask a bunch of question and as I always answer them truthfully many times I get screened out cause I don't qualify. I suppose this is fair enough, BUT many surveys ask a lot of question and you spend quite a bit of your time, and then get screened out late in the survey. Again see suspicious mind story above. You only get 5 cents for those. Just be aware that you could be spending a lot of time for very little money, especially if your honest with your answers.

So AFTER all that, there is some good news. I actually received my first $20 for my surveys, but as I said took a lot of surveys to get to the $20. Its nice pocket money but don't give up your day job :)

Love it! Huge range and arrived fast – Bought 3 gifts online - they all arrived promptly. Happy with the service and the selection was excellent. Can't fault them at all. I will be shopping here again.

Amazing How Quick ! – I ordered a novelty gift for my Wife for Mother's Day ! My kid's and I were worried it might not arrive in time. It arrived 2 days after placing the order ! Great Selection and Fast Shipping – Needed a birthday gift last minute and was stuck for something to buy. Yellow Octopus had heaps to choose from and ordered express and received my gift the next day. The recipient loved it!

Flying shark- quality disgraceful – The flying shark- bought online, filled with helium, while fixing fins, just got deflated.... was filled with helium at party shop with right amount still burst. Never even got to see it fly... very very disappointed with the thin plastic used for body. Goes to prove.. what’s cheap and online won’t satisfy!!

Faulty merchandise – I have bought from Yellow Octopus a few times online & have rec'd faulty products. One which I didn't bother following up was a pair of heated slippers. The inside seams were covered in glue which rubbed on my feet. then. Recently I rec'd a photo frame with incorrect printing on it - that was refunded. I also rec'd a set of 4 shot glasses where the polystyrene outer was broken as well as one of the glasses. They replaced the one glass but I've had to find a way of repackaging them as they were for a gift. So, although they did their best to compensate me, I can only give 3 stars for the inconvenience created.

Fast/reliable delivery. Very pleased – Ordered some gifts for Christmas. I didn't receive my confirmation email right after purchase so I emailed them a few hours later. They sent my receipt right away and said the email was delayed because of Christmas traffic, which is fair enough. Got my stuff a week later and super happy with the company and the items.

I'm concerned that if I had not checked the package immediately I wouldn't know that a christmas gift was missing and it seems that they were not going to tell me.

On the plus side they were very quick to respond.

Delivery took forever – I bought two items online and it took 7 (working) days for delivery, which I think is a bit much since everything was in stock. One of the items looks pretty dodgy compared to the illustration online. Overall happy with my purchase although it took forever to get it.

Just Order! Brilliant Items and brilliant delivery – I used the online service, even my wife got interested. Would recommend over the $100 spend to get free delivery. I only ordered on Sunday and I received it today (Tuesday) OMG! Now that is what I would call true online shopping. Love it and Yellow Octopus I will be back for sure.

(dispatched in less than 24 hours which is awesome) but it said it was sent via registered post. Being after business hours, I emailed immediately. When I awoke this morning there was a response already- they admitted it was their mistake and said they would resend my order via express post immediately and asked me to "return to sender" the initial package when it finally arrived. Amazing!

Good service – My order did not arrive in the stated time frame, so I checked with Yellow Octopus to see where it was. They concluded AusPost had lost it, and sent a replacement order at no cost to me. times, we're ALL human - it's how/if the mistake is rectified (or not) that matters. They handled this VERY well and I would definitely shop with them again, as well as recommend them to others.

The actual goods I ordered were as described, and do the job really well (wine & champagne bottle stoppers)
