The NBN tech was very good. There were lots of reminders about the upcoming booking. One inconvenience was I didn't realise that I would need to supply the Ethernet cable to get it working and I didn't have one. So I had to go out and buy one which was an inconvenience at the time. Otherwise all went well. Show details

After having constant problems with both telstra and optus for NBN and mobile we transferred to aussieBB. 0 friction in joining and we haven't had a problem since. It's great to have something that works from the get go and does exactly what it says on the box. 0 drop-outs. 0 issues. How internet should be. Show details

After being with starlink for years due to crappy NBN connections, I was advised to go fibre. I have heard amazing things about aussie broadband from friends, and their changeover was free so I signed up. NBN technicial took 5 hours to install and didnt have to dig anything up at all, still no charge I was gobsmacked it was that easy. Straight… Read more

away did a speed test and and I'm pulling 1000 no problem even in peak times. AB is so easy to deal with and upfront, the account online is super easy to use. all this and it's still cheaper than my starlink!!!

Free Fibre upgrade was a breeze with AB. NBN techs arrived as scheduled. Did a very good and clean install inside my Rack! The new NTD is nice and small now. Would note I did hire a private cabler to create the internal fibre pathway in my ceiling to have the NTD where I wanted. AB are offering a free upgrade which does not include complex installs as NBN techs won't go inside your ceiling for safety reasons. Show details ·  1

Very fast and efficient process. No hitches. Excellent communication. Not the cheapest in the market but has a good reputation & Australian Call Centres with fast & friendly service. Only connected yesterday. Download speed between 50 and 51 but upload speed well off the mark at between 4 and 5 when it should be 20 but my uploads were negligible in the 24hrs so we need more time to assess. Overall could not ask for more. Well done Aussie Show details ·  1

I recently upgraded to Aussie Broadband’s 500/50 Fast Fibre NBN plan and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. communication at every step and realistic timeframes that were actually met. Installation and activation were completely pain free, with everything working exactly as promised from the moment the service went live. It was refreshing to deal with a company that values professionalism, transparency and customer experience. The speed and reliability of the connection have been excellent, and the process to get there could not have been easier. I would confidently recommend Aussie Broadband to anyone considering an NBN upgrade.

Aussie Broadband service was excellent. Had communicated with them twice before taking the plunge to join them. least for 6 months anyway. The 50/20 speed is more expensive than with other ISPs but you pay for the excellent service and it’s well worth it. We received the modem yesterday. It took all of 5 minutes to set it up. We are getting a faster speed than with our previous ISP, possibly due to the TP-Link modem that was supplied 2 years ago. The Aussie Broadband modem is a Netcomm one. It was just plug and play and scan the QR code to get the wifi going. We have hard wired the main computers to the modem router and we are getting a speed of 47mbps. Our maximum line speed is 50. Upload speed is still limited to under 8mbps. We might have to change to a Cat 6a cable rather than the Cat 5 cables that we had. Two Cat 5e cables were supplied in the box as well as the cable for the DSL line. The wifi speed is a little less at about 36-42mbps but much better than the 25-35mbps speed that we were getting with the previous ISP. The Aussie Broadband app is simple to use and a mine full of information. I would recommend Aussie Broadband to anyone who would like a first class service.

Started my application on Saturday morning at 8am, my line was migrated and up and running by 10am. Getting my actual line speed which my prior telco (who had kindly leaked my personal details previously) couldn't get right. Added bonus I can use my router of choice (Netgear RS600) without it being hobbled by some overpriced locked down telco router and having to deal with double NAT issues Show details ·  1

540Mbps. Independent DNS tests I have done have shown that Aussie's DNS servers are the fastest for me to worldwide locations. Never had dropouts (other than rare scheduled maintenance of course, which I get plenty of warning for and are done during off peak times). Always had good customer support experiences with them too, I like the fact that all of their staff are located in Australia. They are very transparent and open about everything. Only con is that they are slightly more expensive, but all of the above makes that worth it for me.

Follow-up  · To answer some follow-up questions, I don't normally upload much but it's always measured at around 46-48Mbps whenever I do a speed test. I do auto backups to Koofr but the speed depends on the size and number of the files and on the Koofr servers themselves, but it's never seemed too slow. I don't stream or do online gaming (Steam game downloads… Read more

their Traralgon office today 20/2/2026 and was very politely told they are not providing support for non-corporate and non-business clients any more. Called in to the local Optus store to discuss change over. We have 2 mobiles, VOIP and fast NBN. Salesman was beside himself and could not believe that residential services are no longer serviced. WHAT!! Did this really happen today? Is it true? Looks like ABB has dropped the ball big time. We residential clients helped build ABB, now we are ditched? In the past ABB has been brilliant and exceptionally helpful. I have even left rave reviews online. So sad. Sorry ABB management, but you have made a real mistake especially after the recent take overs. Were the shareholders asked for their opinion? By the way, I found the problem with my mobile and changed one small configuration - not bad for an old geyser eh. Looking for another provider..... :-(

Follow-up  · I have received an apology from ABB suggesting that they did indeed drop the ball on this one and it may have been just the one representative who made a mistake. Meanwhile, I have not changed to OPTUS, they are well out of my league in costs and services provided. I choose to stay with ABB for the simple reason that they are not too big to offer… Read more

As an Australian customer using this service, I strongly recommend that people think very carefully before signing up with Aussie Broadband. In my experience, this has been one of the worst internet/phone providers I have ever dealt with. The way the billing system is set up feels incredibly unfair to customers who are paid fortnightly. Payments… Read more

are taken on the exact same date every month, which means that if your pay cycle doesn’t line up perfectly, you are almost guaranteed to be hit with failed payments and late fees.

I have personally been charged repeated $5 failed-payment fees because of this, even though the issue isn’t that the money isn’t there, it’s simply that the billing date does not match the way many Australians are actually paid. After a while, it starts to feel less like a mistake and more like a system that punishes customers for something completely outside their control.

What makes this worse is how quickly the fees add up. Instead of feeling like a customer, you start to feel like you are being penalised every single month just for trying to use the service.

I normally don’t write reviews like this, but people deserve to know before signing up. If you are paid fortnightly or don’t have a perfectly consistent pay date, you should be extremely cautious about using this company.

what I really needed that works. Verses an overloaded bundle in the lats provider that made my life hectic for 4 months. Clear communication, the intelligence to understand what I need and the capability to make it happen and clearly explain everything made it a really fantastic experience. . I wish I'd written his name down, because the man is great at his job, especially working late at night in an urgent situation for me. I'm seriously impressed! This dude deserves a raise!!!! If you've been screwed around by Tangerine, I highly recommend switching to Aussie Broadband-) the customer service is an exemplary relief and the ease of switching providers was pa life saver. Polite support but that means nothing when the service offered is so inefficient. My history with this provider (all documented): I was planning to move into a new house on 19 February, so on 11 February I placed an order and paid for the connection… Read more

of a new house + first month (specifying 19 February as the earliest connection date). On 12 February, I contacted live chat to ask when the technician was coming to connect us – and the support person explained that the earliest connection date means that ‘your order will only be submitted … by 19th Feb and an appointment will be booked after’. That seemed rather strange, so I asked to remove the earliest connection date limitation. I breathed a sigh of relief – good that I decided to contact support! The same live chat person then told me to wait for another full four days for an update with an appointed. I waited four days – nothing. So on 17 February I contacted the same online live support to check what was going on – and my connection was instantly booked on the 24th! I asked why nothing had been done earlier – no explanation. If an online chat person can book my connection on the spot, why not do this back on the 12th – when I first called (or at least during the period I had to wait)? Nothing. I called the connections team immediately. 39 minutes on the call (mostly listening to music) – no explanation, only repeating that at this point they cannot book me for anything earlier than 24 February. Utter disappointment at the complete lack of any promised action without pressing the provider. The best part? Minutes later I received a confirmation that my house would be connected only on 25 February – i.e., one day later than the day given just minutes before! Not sure if this was done out of spite – I certainly hope not. But I am really disappointed. After so many positive reviews online, I had hoped this would be a more expensive, but reliable provider – yet only the former seems to be true. As for positives, the support staff on the call was polite. But without internet, it does not really matter, does it? I will be switching provider – after all, it seems Aussie Broadband only started acting on my order just now.

Follow-up  · I am finally connected and bump my rating up due to the efforts of the support and complaints teams - particularly Jack, who was incredibly helpful throughout and organised a wireless SIM internet option as a temporary solution. I cannot give full stars due to the delays involved (I was only connected on 20 March), but I must acknowledge that some… Read more
