I bought what was advertised as a Galaxy Watch8 but... They sold me a grey import Samsung watch that isn't fit for purpose. Advertised deceitfully and are gas lighting me into saying it was my mistake. The watch is not covered under Australian… Read more
warranty and does not fit.
Why BuyMobile is Wrong
BuyMobile admits it’s an "international model." If their listing didn't explicitly say "Taiwanese/International Model - No Samsung Australia Warranty," they have engaged in misleading conduct by silence. A reasonable Australian consumer expects a product sold in Australia to be the Australian version.
The watch is "Not Fit for Purpose": They claim "fit preference" isn't a failure. Correct, but... a watch that cannot be adjusted to fit a standard adult wrist (because it's on the last hole and still too tight!!) is not of acceptable quality.
Warranty Disclosure: A genuine Australian Galaxy Watch8 has a manufacturer’s warranty you can claim at any Samsung store. This Taiwanese one does not. Since they didn't disclose this loss of rights, it is a major failure.
Follow-up · It was resolved but there was a lot of gaslighting from the vendor about how they had disclosed the nature of the product but it was definitely not disclosed in a way that made it clear.
I purchased Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro less than a year ago, and they’ve already started malfunctioning (they won’t connect to any device). I contacted the company and was told to email them, which I did, but I received no response. After calling… Read more
again, they apologised and said they were going to call me back that day. Instead, they emailed asking for photos, which I sent immediately. Once again, nothing happened.
Three days later I called again and they claimed they had just checked my email, even though I had already sent the photos days earlier. The staff member initially denied speaking with me, then said she would send me an email with the address to return the device to their warranty department.
They then provided a PO Box address in Robina, Gold Coast, which seemed very suspicious and unprofessional. It honestly felt like I was dealing with someone operating out of a garage pretending to be a repair expert.
More than a week passed with no updates. When I called again, they said they were too busy and would escalate the matter, but again no one got back to me.
Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. I strongly suspect they are selling overseas stock without proper Australian warranty support. If your earbuds break (which seems likely), you may be left stuck with no help.
Follow-up · It took a bit of time to get a replacement, but, eventually they have replaced the faulty Buds3 by a new one.
To be honest, this experience has been absolutely appalling. I purchased a phone from Kogan marketplace and got my confirmation, shipping number and everything looked all good. I waited the recommended 4-5 business days and after hearing nothing and my shipping number coming up with no result I decided to reach out to customer support to try get… Read more
some information on what's going on. The seller (Buy Mobile) responded shortly after saying the dispatch for the product was not pushed through and that the delivery was cancelled as the item was out of stock. At no point was I ever told any of this information.
Somehow I was allowed to purchase a product that never really existed (there was no stock) and Kogan told me that it had been shipped. Even worse, there was no transparency from them or the seller at all. I was not contacted about anything going on and was only told that the order did not exist until I reached out to see what was going on. The way this situation has been handled is absolutely disgraceful. Had I known there was a possibility of this happening I never would've wasted my money or my time here. I am severely disappointed and this experience has left an awful taste in my mouth.
Even when I check now, the order says it is "in transit" even though the seller has confirmed that the delivery was cancelled.

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ (Dual SIM 12GB RAM 512GB 5G) with its 512GB storage & big capacity battery was so much better than my previous mobile. The brand new item was delivered within 10 days to my home in Melbourne in perfect condition. What's more, the price was so much cheaper ! queries confidently clearing all my doubts about the mobile. He assured me that the international model is the same device in terms of hardware and features, but it is intended for overseas markets. Differences may include packaging, included accessories, or pre-installed region-specific apps, but the core functionality remained identical. The international models receive the same Samsung software updates as the original models. However, Samsung Australia does not provide support for international models. The staff at Buy Mobile will assist with general product inquiries and purchase support. From my past experience, I have never had a problem with new mobile phones from reliable brands as most problems can be resolved with a simple Google search or reaching out to support for help. I was able to setup & transfer data from the old mobile very easily eventhough, as a 75 year old, I would not consider myself as a tech savvy person ! I couldn't be happier with my new phone !
Absolutely amazing! – Purchased iPhone 13 pro max last week came today! Thank you guys so much, was a little worried because of the reviews but it's definitely here & I could not be happier, it came from Sydney & I'm in Brisbane would have come earlier but startrack had alot of back load which is understandable. Excellent service, fast delivery – I purchased the Lenovo Legion Duel 2 Pro 18GB/256GB valued at AUD$979 plus AUD$20 for insurance. Ordered 12/01/22, arrived 27/01/2022 via DPEX, so exactly 2 weeks. Order is correct and included power adapter for Australia. Tracking made easy via links sent to my email address. I would recommend this store to anyone, and although the items came… Read more · 1

Very happy with my purchase, and will definitely use Buymobile next time.
Thankyou for the great experience.
Unreliable Delivery Time & Lack of Transparency – I bought a Samsung S23 from BuyMobile through MyDeal thats owned by Woolworths. I was caught by how cheap the phone was. $300 cheaper, so I was like wow, what a deal! Fortunately, I did end up getting the phone, despite having to wait 16 days until they eventually dispatched the phone from their overseas (China) warehouse. (Not an australian… Read more
company, and sounds like the support team is from the Philippines)
By the 16th day, I was fed up and I requested a refund, they didn't comment on that so I escalated to the support team of MyDeal and it was only then that they dispatched it.
Phone is legit but the box was in Chinese as well as the phone itself. So I had to manually switch it to English with the help of Google Translate.
I would say I was one of the lucky ones, I wouldnt recommend anyone else buying anything from them, despite that I eventually got my phone

arrive, it may be an international version which may not have Australian certification.
Ensure the mobile phone you are buying has the C tick or RCM mark. This will be on the charger, box, & on the phone itself under settings, about phone, regulatory information. You will see the C tick logo if it is certified for Australian use. If your device does not have the C tick logo, your phone will not comply to the ACMA regulations.
What this means is you can't call 000. May not be able to perform OTA updates. Also if the charger, or battery, causes a fire, your home insurance will be void. The other problem is the 4G and 5G modes may not work correctly, because the device may not have the required bands supported. For example, it may work , but it also may have trouble getting a signal indoors. If this occurs it is because a required band or bands are missing.
Buymobile will tell you that they cannot help you because it apparrently is a network issue. This network issue is because the supplied phone does NOT comply with the Australian regulations. This is the responsibility of Buymobile, not you the customer.
At worst your mobile phone may even be barred from the network or have trouble handing over to the next tower while your travelling.
My concern is the box for the new phone will come unsealed, i.e the manufacturers seal. This means you can't be sure if the phone is in fact a new unmolested device.
Your warranty will be one that Buymobile provides. More than likely repaired by a 3rd party repairer, not the manufacturer. You will NOT have a manufacturers warranty, and be at the mercy of Buymobile.
Buymobile will blame any delay on the warehouse or say the system was being migrated, or find any excuse they can to buy more time. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME !
I found in the terms and conditions some very concerning "possible" violations of Australian consumer protections.
I would like to put on record that I requested a refund about 3 and a half hours after ordering. I requested a refund due to the alarming reviews on this site and because I didn't agree to their terms and conditions. My refund has been received, and the customer service for the most part was polite.
Finally I would like to say that after approximately 10 years of bad reviews on this site you would think that they would have improved their business model. I gave two stars Simply because I received my refund and dodged a bullet ordering from this site.
Beware of deception by omission, don't believe them if they say your international version complies with Australian regulations, Ask them to show proof !
My experience has been forwarded to the ACCC and the ACMA due to possible breaches of Australian Mandatory regulations. This is to protect the vulnerable people in our community.
Found a phone I wanted on the website that claimed to be in stock, so ordered it. Received a confirmation, then nothing after a couple of weeks. was then offered another phone they had that was more $, I asked if they could meet me halfway in relation to the difference and no answer. Sadly I had bought covers, screen protectors, etc for a phone I was not going to get, so was already behind before even buying a phone. Had i read the reviews here first, I would've learnt that this is not uncommon behaviour for this re-seller. I requested a refund and went elsewhere - save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere unless you like gambling, or a bored.

I had a great experience purchasing my mobile phone from BuyMobile. The customer service team was very responsive and helpful, answering my questions quickly. Shipping was smooth and fully trackable, which gave me peace of mind. Everything arrived on time and exactly as expected. Highly recommend! Show details
Mike Is The Bomb!!! – I am by no means a techo, so I utilised the online assistance and spoke with Mike who was absolutely wonderfully amazing at assisting me with my choice of new mobile. He didn't pressure me in any way but helped point out pros and cons between the two handsets I was considering. I now feel very confident in my choice of purchase. Thank you Mike! You rock! Would give 0 stars if I could. They sold me a unauthentic samsung earbud, refused to replace it even when I compared it with a real one. The sound quality was awful and the customer support was not helpful at all.
Purchased a Samsung A56 (new). Defective as it shows charging error after migration of data from old to new phone. Sent the phone back, and they want to charge a 30% restocking fee, claiming there's no issues with it. Don't buy from this bunch, buy from a reputable source such as JB hi-fi, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Amazon, etc. Show details
DO NOT BUY FROM BUYMOBILE. They are a scam! I purchased a Garmin Fenix 8 for $1800 on the 29th of June. They told lie after lie, even sent fake tracking numbers to try and cover up the lies. On the 15th of July they finally conceded and sent a tracking ID ... showing an item (unconfirmed if it was even my watch) coming from HONG KONG. They did… Read more
not state in the ad that the product was being shipped from China - more lies! At that stage I complained to the ACCC who agreed they had breached consumer law. I demanded a refund and the only right thing this company did was issue a refund within 24 hours.

Please, please, please avoid. I know it's cheaper but they're scammers. Bought a 'brand new' Samsung from them and it was a nightmare. 13 days no refund, nothing. I call this behaviour and attitude pure SCAM.
Arose the dispute with the bank. No results so far, we ll see how it goes. I think with that amount of complaints thats a police issue now. They have to investigate who they are and probably shut down their store.
Not following Australian Consumer Law – I purchased a phone from Buymobile in June 2024, only to find out a few months later that it no longer works due to the recent 3G shutdown. My carrier informed me that the phone lacks VoLTE support, which is now essential for making calls since 3G is discontinued. This means the phone can’t even perform its primary function! Buymobile for a refund, I was told they sold the device based on the manufacturer’s specs and that this is a 'network issue,' not their responsibility. They refused my refund, ignoring that they sold a product incompatible with Australian networks in the long term. A phone that can’t make calls is simply not fit for purpose, and consumer law covers this.
I’ve raised this issue with PayPal, the ACCC, and will pursue other channels if needed. Buymobile’s refusal to take responsibility is disappointing and unprofessional. If you’re thinking about purchasing a phone here, beware – they may sell you outdated models that won’t work as expected!
JUST DONT – Ordered a phone from DickSmith and somehow these fools ended up with the order, told me Australian stock, called me and said they didn't have the colour I wanted but would send a black one. 9 days later and it's in Hong Kong. Deceitful. AVOID THIS COMPANY

the international version is not compatible. After contacting several times to return as it's not fit for the specific purpose I asked for before purchasing I have escalated this to matter to Australian businesses and consumer affairs as well as the telecommunications ombudsman as I believe it's deceitful to be telling consumers the phones will work in Australia after the 3g network turns off when no network will support the Sony phones. I didn't ask if my network was supported I asked if the phone was supported by any network and it's not. just beware on buying any phone especially international versions,
