Purchased the inflatable Xmas dragon last year, this year the motor burnt out, got it replaced, 12 days later the same thing. The store refused to refund and only exchange. Manager at hollywood was extremely rude. I will be disappointed if thi one turns out too.

Misleading advertising but sorted quickly – I paid for 2 items which were listed as being available at the Mt Barker store. End of lease clean – I’d booked Prakash and his team for an end of lease clean. They were efficient and did a really thorough job. It was a little more than I’d expected to pay, however, the job was done in 2 hours (inc. all windows cleaned inside and out) and there was a team of 4, time during a move is imperative. possible to come and pick the missing pole up as it was not feeble for me to return such a large item. I would need to hire a Ute to return it. I was told no you need to return the whole thing and get a brand new one in box. I mentioned I would be speaking to head office as that’s not a good enough solution to be told it’s not the store fault it’s missing a part and that she would then have a opened item she couldn’t sell. Two of the boxes I was given had been opened and retaped back up with the part missing. I questioned this to staff at the time and told no all the parts are there. I was not asking for to much in just being able to pick up the missing piece. It’s an hrs drive each way. was concerned that the code was a generic one, covering all colours. There was no option to add a note during the order process so I immediately sent a note using the customerservice email address explaining which colour I wanted. Zero response for days, so I sent another one. And then another, and another. Used the contact form, the refund request form. 8 emails later I got a response, with an apology that my order hadn't been sent and asking did I still want a refund or did I want to wait. I sent TWO email responses that afternoon saying I wanted a refund. 7pm that night I get a notification the postage label has been created..WTH. Today it's been updated as being shipped. I've sent another 2 emails, sent a message via Facebook. There is NO customer service. The phone number doesn't work. The system is a joke. In contrast I used an old can of a different spray adhesive that I had had for several years & it covered the surfaces with a smooth consistent layer & actually stuck.

Absolutely worst customer service. I didn't order from other places because I was under the impression all my order from Cheap as Chips would be coming.

No communication from them in regards to my order. No common courtesy. What the hell is wrong with this company?

I was so excited when I realised that they had online shopping. 1st and last time ordering from them I can say that much.

Obnoxious staff – Appalling customer service by 2 members of staff including manager. Both obviously terribly miserable in their employment roles. (Time for a change in careers, I think!) Never will I shop in this store again! Having said that, one young lad working on the checkout (9/12/24) was very friendly and helpful. I feel sorry for him working with such obnoxious co workers.
