Broken Line Bracket – After replacement line bracket for fold down Daytek clothesline, have 3 broken brackets. Reading the reviews this seems to be a common fault with the product
Daytek Slimline clothesline plastic line holder product 2.5 years old from a builder build that has now gone under – I have numerous trouble in locating this part, 5 trips to Bunnings, online ordering a no go, Daytek state go to Bunnings, well I have picked up the part and it is the incorrect one, waste of my time, appalling trouble to have to go to to get a part which I still do not have, clothesline repair services are not interested, my only option now buy a… Read more

Warranty process is a joke – I own a Dayton fold down washing line. The plastic elbows have snapped - which reading here seems to be a common issue. Contact warranty team, they will ship me new elbows if I can show them proof of purchase. The washing line came with our new house, so obviously the builder doesn’t keep receipts of every purchase in the handover documents….. So… Read more
I send a photo of the vacant block which shows 4yrs ago there was no house. Nope not good enough they say. You can send us a receipt or you can buy replacement parts yourself at Bunnings they say. I believe they use this line knowing no one keeps receipts for the -5yr warranty period, and there is no manufacturing date stamp to help with proof either. Time to find a different brand, this one is a joke.

Home handy wheelbarrow – Helpful service when getting replacement parts for this Daytek wheelbarrow. Still in good condition after many years of use. Just needed axle and wheel parts. Show details
Single fixed clothesline initially popping out – Reported an issue about clothesline popping out during wind. Rang daytek and advised must be faulty, return to bunnings under warranty or daytek would send out a new part. Tested clothesline further and may have been user error. Need to make sure lift rail quite high before sliding back. Seems to be locked in better, if this fixes issue then am otherwise happy with product. Show details · 3
Squeaky rotary unit – We love our Daytek rotary clothes line. It does squeak quite loudly as it spins. We’ve tried to add a small amount of high quality oil with no avail. Any suggestions as to remedy this annoying sound??? My neighbors would appreciate it! Show reply

Dissatisfied, Disappointed – Bought a daytek mk2 clothes line lasted less than 3 years. CHEAP plastic line breaks where the lock compresses. Unlike a rotatory clothes line you can't replace the line either by inserting a new spool or being able to replace the line in the spool. Had a Hills unit at last house its was still going strong after 8 years when I left. Show details

DONT BY DAYTEK CLOTHESLINES – It says it has a 25year warranty, believe me it needs every one of those. After having two sheets hit the ground needing to be rewashed, I rang Daytek in my anger and was told my attitude was not to their liking. If I could find my receipt from 3 years ago they would send me replacement rubbish of the same quality that had just failed (Of course… Read more
it would be my job to rectify it!!). I sent them two emails and they ignored them both. What rubbish this product is!! Luckily I had purchased it from Bunnings and having spoken with the Complex Manager they agreed to replace it straight away. DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THIS FUTURE LANDFILL PRODUCT!!

Washing line causes headache – The washing line fall down when hanging clothes. Even when hanging light clothes. It fell down onto the top of my head. It causes a headache and I was nauseous. I am not able to go to work and do regular activities as a result. I will be seeing future advice about this as it has cost me a loss of income. Show details

Approximately 40 years ago my husband bought me a homegardener wheelbarrow for a Christmas gift. I loved it and used it to transport children, puppies, the washing, vegetables and all sorts of gardening materials. We lived in the country and it was also used to take meals on wheels to friends living not too far away. Then around 10 years ago… Read more · 2
the axle rusted off, we lived opposite the beach. I begged my husband to fix it and he said he could not. In memory I wanted to use it as a garden ornament for all the good work it had done. My husband disposed of it and I was devastated. Then Christmas 2025 my son and daughter in law bought me the exact same one. We now manage a caravan park and it once again gets used for everything in the garden and the linen and many other uses. I want to thank you for making such a fantastic product. No other wheelbarrow I have tried is as good as this one.

Height of portable clothesline – I am very impressed with your travellers clothesline. Compared to the others on the market this is the best quality and worth the extra cost. There is only 1 thing that people don't like and is stopping yours from becoming the best on the market. When we got ours home and opened it up I was shocked how short it is, I almost took it straight… Read more · 1
back but because of the quality I decided to persevere. You only need to make it 12 or 18 inches taller and it would be perfect for the caravan/camping public.

Disappointed with Product and Service – Disappointed with Service I purchased a Daytek Mk 2 clothesline from Bunnings Cessnock NSW with a lifetime warranty, expecting reliable service and support. Unfortunately, my experience with this retailer's customer service has been far from satisfactory. A piece of the Daytek Mk 2 clothesline had broken, prompting me to contact Daytek… Read more
clothesline company for assistance. To my surprise, I was informed that they do not offer repair services; instead, they only provide replacement parts that I need to organise to have installed. Is this a warranty? While this was disappointing, I requested the necessary parts to be sent to me. She mentioned that she would send five of these parts because this is a common problem with this clothesline. Really, why wasn't I informed of this faulty clothesline before I purchased it, and why is it still on the market?
However, my frustration grew when I reached out to Bunnings Cessnock to request assistance with the repair and installation of these parts. Despite assurances that someone would return my call when I rang on Monday, I received no follow-up. Upon reaching out again on Thursday, I was informed that they do not handle clothesline repairs and that my request would need to be escalated to another department.
As a customer who invested in a product with a lifetime warranty, I expected better support and service from both Daytek and Bunnings Cessnock. The lack of clarity and assistance provided in resolving a seemingly simple issue has left me feeling disappointed and let down by both company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
I urge both Daytek and Bunnings to reevaluate their customer service protocols and ensure that they uphold their promises to customers, and honour the lifetime warranties that come with the purchased products.
Worst clothesline ever – Daytek Slimline Mk2 - I didn't think it was possible to so incompetently redesign something as simple as a clothesline yet here we are - Our builder installed this and the very first time we tried to put a peg on it the line fell down. Was the line installed correctly you may ask? Yes, yes it was. The securing mechanism is terrible and does not… Read more
secure. It is a plastic screw system. We dealt with this by simply lashing the line around the frame and tying it off.
The overall line is so small that it does not fit an entire small load of laundry and is barely long enough to fit a single sheet.
It is made of plastic and other flimsy materials.
It does not fold up and down reliably, you leave it up or it never goes back up again - UNLESS - you happen to hang something vaguely heavy on it, such as a towel, in which case it will collapse at the hinges. In which case you are stuck trying to get a line with clothes on it back into an upright position. It does not like to latch into this position and you'll be lucky.
We have sent it back via our builder but we're afraid that they're going to directly replace it and we'll be stuck with the same piece of absolute trash so to the landfill it will go and we'll be investing in another more solid and trustworthy line made of actual decent materials. Do not recommend this brand whatsoever. Horrible experience overall from day 1.
Disappointing product – Purchased a fold down clothesline about 2 years ago and already have broken clips that hold the line onto the frame I would of thought the materials that were used for something that is in the elements constantly would of lasted much longer than this very disappointing because I can’t seem to get replacements, will not recommend this product to anyone

Warehouse, but they could not track, or find it. After another 2 months Aug'22, I had enough waiting, and refused the offer to wait for another replacement to be made, I accepted a refund and also a voucher.
I immediately purchased another complete Daytek line, and found that the new post from box was the Exact one I needed!!! Im very disappointed that Both the store, and Daytek, did not offer me a part from a box off the shelf, rather than me waiting for 4 months!

the item was not of their usual high quality and that it might be best for me to return it for a refund. I replied to the email the same day 2/3/22 and asked why the agent didn't ask me to return the item for a replacement since normally their items are of high quality and that I still needed a clothesline. As of Friday evening 4/3/22 I haven't received a reply, maybe the quality of the clothesline I received it their normal quality and the replacement would only be the same, I don't know. I will wait a few more days just in case they do reply but I doubt it.
Update, I was contacted and asked to return the clothesline for a replacement.
Daytek MK2 Mini Fold Down Clothes Line Issue – I recently purchased a Daytek MK2 Mini Fold down clothes line and I am having problems with the Line Locking Cap screwing into its proposed position. It simply wont screw in. I have tried calling the office a few times this week but haven’t been able to get hold of anyone. I have also sent an email today to try and get a response.
Disappointed in Fold down mk 2 clothesline – I bought this clothes line in July 20 . The tensioner snapped in March 21 and now another has just snapped. This is a real problem as the washing falls down on the ground. In my previous residence I had a hills and never had a problem after 8 years. The parts are obviously not of great standard. On the pension this has become a concern wondering how long it will last Show details
Daytek single lift and lock – Just replaced our old dual fold down wall mounted with the above and installed in the same place, same height. again purely for that reason unless you can get someone to modify it for you. I don’t like them up permanently and don’t like asking for someone to get it up and down for me.
Not up to standard and poor customer service – Product was easy to install but lasted less than a month for the double arms to start sagging down. Customer service taking no responsibility saying Its normals and that I have talked the pictures incorrectly to show the fault. Show details
Not a great product – My landlord recently installed one of your lines on the wall and every so often the thing collapses on my head - I’m not impressed with the product at all.
Deterioration of line carriers on fold down line – We purchased a fold down 11 line clothes line approximately 18 months ago from Bunnings. The caps that carry the line from one section to the next have cracked. After the first one we fixed it but we are now up to the third one. I expect the line to deteriorate after a number of years but this is poor. Show details
