with no trouble online and in-store). They referred me to their marketplace seller, who said they would give me a refund but only if I paid in full for postage. The problem is that the item was falsely advertised and I expressed that I just wanted a full refund. Dick Smith kept referring me back to the marketplace seller. No one wants to take responsibility. So I passed on the issue to the ACCC and told Dick Smith's I had done so, quoting my complaint number, hoping the issue would be resolved quicker. I still have heard no resolution on this. The second item never turned up, so I flagged this to Dick Smith who again passed me onto the marketplace seller, who said they would look into it and to follow up. They said if I still didn't get the item within a week, to contact them again, so I did and flagged this to Dick Smith. The problem is Dick Smith doesn't want to deal with any of it, the fact that months have passed by now and they keep referring me to the marketplace seller. Dick Smith please take responsibility and deal with the issues at hand. All I understandably want is a refund.
Very fast delivery from Dick Smith. Have used the 8-page cross cut shredder a few times now. It's supposed to cut paper into 4x35mm pieces but doesn't consistently do this - see photo. residue. I've twice had small compacted pieces of paper lodge in the feeding shute making the machine inoperable. They are difficult to remove. Overall it is doing the job and I'm happy with the machine, particularly given the low price.

Hi , asked by dick smith for a review. We purchased a fortis foldable Pilates machine. It was delivered on the third day after purchase. It was easy to assemble and works well . Follow-up · Eventually arrived....BUT...didn't come in any original or genuine packaging. Appeared to be a knock off. Was purchased as a gift for a photographer friend, so could not be gifted as intended. After a LOT of emails and photos of what I was sent, I was eventually refunded.

Such a shame a good Aussie name has been tarnished. I would like to warn consumers from ordering from this site. My order is on its way, however, 2 weeks after I placed my order the card used to purchased my item was compromised. Still waiting to hear back from bank to recover my dollars.
Follow-up · Dick Smith got in touch. I was unaware of the annual fee charged to use this site, which is taken out 2 weeks after purchase, as you get 2 weeks free. I was refunded all monies, apart from a few weeks, which was after I noticed the fee taken out.
The card was compromised to purchase something from Dick Smith again. That purchase was not authorised by myself. Very disappointed.

Dick Smith offer the oppportunity for free delivery and special offers if you sign on with them. After you have signed on you get an email about payments for signing on with them. You pay $14.99 a month with Dick Smith to get $33 back at the end of the year. You do the math. Well I get free deliveries from company's without paying joining fees.… Read more

I was unexpectedly charged $129 for a Dick Smith FIRST membership subscription. I did not knowingly intend to sign up for an ongoing paid membership, and I was not aware that a yearly charge would automatically be taken after the trial period ended. Unlike many other online marketplaces, Dick Smith charges a significant membership fee that many customers may not expect. Customers who do not regularly check their bank statements could unknowingly continue being charged. I also did not receive any invoice, text message, or email notification regarding the renewal charge, which made the deduction feel deceptive and lacking transparency.
After noticing the charge, I contacted Dick Smith support and requested cancellation of the membership and a full refund back to my original payment method. I explained that I had not intentionally used or benefited from the membership.
In addition, I previously experienced poor customer service with an order cancellation. I cancelled an order before it had been dispatched, however the order was still processed and sent out. When I requested a refund, I was told that I would need to cover the return postage costs myself. This situation could have been avoided if the cancellation had been properly processed in time.
At this stage, the outcome does not meet my expectations because I believe the subscription process, renewal disclosure, and customer service practices were unclear and potentially misleading to customers. I expect businesses to clearly and transparently inform customers before charging recurring annual fees and to properly process cancellations when requested. I am seeking a full refund of the $129 charge and improved business practices to prevent similar issues affecting other consumers.

Ordered a perfume for Mothers Day and paid delivery. It didnt get delivered but instead got sent to a locker, then to Kingsgrove , and now I have to take time off work to go find it. What a headache. I received my parcel in speedy time for which I was astonished and grateful. Just one thing I would say, and that is the products in the cardboard packs themselves were not damaged, but the cardboard packets were. There was no bubble wrap or other surrounding the packets to avoid such damage. I checked the products and they were ok. I am happy nevertheless. Show details · 1
