Received my boxes in under 4 months – I ordered freight shipping with the 3-4 months term. they came 3 weeks early. No problems at all. Good cheap way to ship from A to B – I took the risk (despite the terrible reviews) to hire this company to freight my personal effects from OZ to Europe. Yes it took 5 months, but overall I have faced a decent customer service and didn't have any trouble. scammed, tried their 24/7 phone a few times, no one answered. Started to google them, and found a lot of negative reviews. Many people had problems with lost parcels, some of the items from parcels missing, difficult contact (tell me about it...). Then I decided that I rather find someone else to ship my stuff and ask for a refund.

I asked for a refund as the service wasn't provided yet. They finally answered and email and wanted to pick up the parcels at a different date. I told "[name removed]" that it won't happen and I really just want my money back. He decided to stop answering emails again.

Currently, the case is dealt with by the credit card company and I probably just lost a $1000 and all my stuff is still overseas.

Never received box – I got a box sent from Melbourne back to Ireland with this company in April 2016. valuable items, they never communicate with you and there is a high chance of you never see your stuff ever again! If you need more evidences about this company please google Discount Freight as there is an article about them back in 2015 so you can read all shocking stories about their victims, it's very eye openings.

If you read this review because you have already placed your order with them, I am deeply sorry for you. Here is the step-by-step process you need to go through so hopefully you can at least get your stuff back.

1- Raise the issue with Fair Trade Australia, they have allocated a case officer who deals with Discount Freight complaints. They cannot help you much, but if they gather enough complaints then hopefully they can shut down them forever.

2- Go through all your emails and compile all your communication with them.

3- Ask Fair trade to send you an email where proves that they approached Discount Freight but they couldn’t get your desired result

4- Lodge an official complaint with NCAT (tribunal) and take the matter to the court, [name removed] (owner of Discount Freight company) will try to cut you a deal. The trick he uses is to ask you for money (I call it disgusting act of extortion) to release back your stuff. This process usually takes up to few months or in some cases over a year. He forces you to sign an agreement to pay him money to release back your stuff, not to your destination though but to where he picked them up!!!!

Once you went through all above and get your belongings back then go through all your items one by one, in my case he opened my packages without my permission and claimed he had to do it as boxes I used wasn't up to standard. I have provided all evidences where showed his claims was false and in fact the boxes I used (which was from \ another shipping company) were far better than the cheap boxes he used for repacking. He never had my permission for repacking!!!!!!!

Finally, please record all your communication in a written form so he cannot deny it in the court. It's absolutely essential you provide enough evidences, and don't worry because he has many flaws in his claims and court will vote in your favor.

We will now have to wear the cost and use a freight company with a legitimate operation rather than trying to save a couple of hundred dollars on behalf of our guests. Three months later still nothing, it turned out that the boxes were not sent because of missing paperwork that the owner never requested... three months lost again.

Finally the boxes left in August 2016 (at least that's what the owner pretends), it's been 10 months and we are still waiting...

The communication is horrible, a problem that could have been solved in 2 emails with a decent company took us three years, and we didn't even receive our boxes because we think the owner did not bother to send them (we requested paperwork for the shipment but obviously we are never going to get that...).

I do not understand how this company is still running when you look at these reviews.

If you want to see your freight again use a real professional company and not this scam run by an amateur who also had lived in the political sphere and probably knows the right people to keep running his 'business' unpunished.

Our box had been sat at the Welshpool depot where we dropped it off for 11 months and after collected by him, disappeared, Maybe once these shipping companies realise what this rogue trader is doing to customers and that they could have items stored by him only for him not to pay them, they will refuse to trade with him. It appears that he has 3 different trading names which are GlobalPS, Discount Freight and Ozepost. He had the cheek to charge us $86 for being 2kg over weight so we will try and impose a $25 surcharge for every email we have sent him when we go to court for the return of our property and compensation. Update. Just thought I'd let you know that although I made enquiries with NSW Fair Trading, this man still maintains he is whiter than white and I suggested to NSW FT that his statement were false particularly to a reference that he that he used TNT to transport goods where they issue a tracking number and Discount Freight cannot supply that tracking number to NSW FT or to me. How unfortunate TNT are doing business with this man although we have learnt that a Perth shipping agent asked him to remove boxes from their Perth depot, including ours, in May 2016 and it wasn't until January 2017 he took notice and removed not only mine but others to wherever we have yet to find out. May 19th 2017 Update: NSW Fair Trading and Discount Freight from MofV

Good News!!! NSW Fair Trading have actually had a communication from Discount Freight or Ozepost that [name removed] says he has shipped our box and wishes to discuss with us the preparation of clearing our box through the customs in UK. Can you believe this??? Especially as it takes 6 - 8 weeks to send and there I was 10 weeks ago trying to arrange for him to deliver it to the local agent in Perth for us to collect and who had previously asked him to collect all his goods from their warehouse. We even gave him alternate addresses to deliver it to in WA but here it is lucky old us, that is Tonto and the Lone Ranger, but will not hold our breath to see this delivered. How NSW Fair Trading can still accept his excuses is beyond a joke, especially with all the corruption that is going on in NSW with tax fraud and the RSL. We have noticed that [name removed] is maintaining a position as Ozepost pty ltd and not Discount Freight, maybe he wants to lose the reputation so that he can still continue to trade worldwide.

Being near Sydney myself, I proceeded to organise pickup with [name removed], I told him how the package was packed and I even drove the package to goulburn to the TNT depot there. From there he was to organise pickup and delivery to his depot and then on to the UK.

Well that was 7 weeks ago. The parcel was promised for delivery between 3 to 4 weeks. The parcel was delivered to Goulburn by my wife on the 28 / 10. We have a receipt to say they have accepted the parcel.

Despite countless requests for a tracking number or other evidence the package has left Australia or arrived in the U.K. I have received nothing. My client in the U.K. has been promised emails and phone calls in regard to customs and duty payment options and he has heard nothing.

I send them emails and about 1 in 6 get replied to with all the promises in the world but I get nothing.

I believe this company is fraudulent. He has sent me 2 emails recently making excuses as to why the package has not been delivered. All of them accuse me of causing the delays. Not once has he admitted he is in any way at fault. In his most recent email to me, he wants me to acknowledge his extra work he has done and thank him for it before he will give my parcel any further priority. He has said he will do nothing else including chasing up where it is before I acknowledge his 6 or 7 statements he has made about how much of a great guy he is and how I have caused him so many problems. All of which were never mentioned before I started getting very firm with what information I required of him.

My client payed me for the freight via PayPal. He has now asked PayPal to do an investigation in relation to this freight shipment. I have asked [name removed] to provide me with information. All he has provided me was a Us Airlines waybill. It says the package is 450 kgs. This package is obviously not mine. I sent him the PayPal information request in which they have given me 3 days to provide information or they will find in the buyers favour. He has not responded to any emails since. I have send these to both of his email addresses. There has never been a problem with his emails before but there appears to be a big one now. His phone just goes straight to message bank.

So PayPal have given me until tomorrow to supply them the information. I am obviously never going to get the information. I have asked him to tell me where the freight is and as usual no reply

Please don't anyone else get sucked in with [name removed]' s freight company. It has sucked me and so many other people in only to leave them high and dry

I will now also be contacting fair trading as they need to know about this to.

So now 4 days since I wrote this review I am receiving emails saying how untrue my review is and is threatening me if I don't remove this review. He is still saying the package was sent although no one has had any correspondence from anyone either in the uk or Australia.

Update 20/12/2016

He is now contacting my customer in the UK trying to cause trouble by saying I'm at fault as it was not packed right or labelled. He is also trying to say that I am being dishonest by putting a false value down in an invoice I sent discount freight in relation to the goods. He is just out of control.

He says now that the package is still at customs yet I have emails from him saying it has cleared customs.

Paypal now has removed the money from my account and given it back to the buyer and rightly so. So now I am left high and dry with no money for the freight and no package. Goodness knows where it is

I will let you know of his next move. I have all emails if anyone would like to see them. I don't know why he is still allowed to operate in Australia. How much money does he need to scam of people before his company is deregistered?

Finding out what the company is about today after some research, I am cancelling the shipment due to their poor business practices and run around I have been given. I am also taking proper legal actions to have my money refunded.

Discount Freight Is Bad Business - Use Other Services – Discount Freight are BAD! Do not use them! I have sent a box with them 7 months ago to Europe - end of April 2015, and now in December 2015 it still not arrived. Tried to contact them numerous times, and had to wait on the phone just to be told initially that it arrives in 3 month time, then in 5. They seem not to have any clue where the box is.
