I have been with ESuper approaching 20 years.During that time the product has matured enormously. When it first started it was clunky and time consuming but now I would only spend 2-3 hours a year managing my end.Our fund is a simple one, just stocks and cash, so compliance takes 20-30 minutes generally once a year.I cannot understand the media when… Read more

they quote general costs and time expended for running a SMSF far in excess of what ESuper entails. My associates use them too and I know they appreciate the value for the dollar.ESuper answers all my questions within a day and when I make mistakes, they provide solutions. In short for anyone with a simple self managed fund like ours you would be wasting your money getting it managed anywhere else.

We have been with eSuper now for over 20 years and find the service excellent. Always prompt with inquiries and even complete details of unusual div statements for you. Thank you Mark and the team for all you help over the years!

I've been with eSuper for 13 years and will continue to do so based on several key areas: 1) Competency 2) Consistent good service 3) Prompt replies to many queries and 4) Keeping me up to date with superannuation and taxation related issues .

Follow-up  · Unable to comment on comparative fees as I haven't checked alternative providers. I am satisfied my current fee of $1,499 is reasonable. Esuper do not provide financial advice or investment options as that remains the responsibility of the customer. The online portal is intuitive and easy to follow .

We have had our SMSF with eSuperfund for over 10 years. The support and answers to questions have always been prompt and clear. The website and reporting system have evolved over the years, coping with legislative changes. Extremely satisfied.

Follow-up  · My experience remains extremely positive. They respond quickly and informatively. The support is amazing.

Non-contactable for an urgent enquiry, no follow-up once you're in, hidden fee's – NEGATIVE REVIEW: After joining earlier this year, I called the office (before it became just a redirection to the website message) around May or June (2024) with an urgent question from my Fund's Office to arrange transfer to my Trust through eSuperfund, nothing. Called again, was told I had been sent an email. Email was not relevant, nor did… Read more

it answer my urgent question, so called the office again. Sent another email, simply stating refer to the first email (the irrelevant one). Tried calling now, in late November 2024, phone is just a message referring me to the website. CUSTOMER SERVICE (lack of, explained above, no-one to talk to for just 2 minutes when their system isn't working); VERY GENERIC MINUTES, to the fact that I, as a Trust Sole Director, am bound by your Minutes, to have a regular Meeting with myself, record what I say to myself, and each of me sign it as a true record; and that my DEED is pretty sparse and appears not to limit it (me) to anything. My Trust was set-up by eSuperfund, then finally approved by the ATO with a SMSF Regulator, on July 24, yet over 4 months later, still no TFN, which is applied for, via eSuperfund as shown in your what you get page, when you set-up the Fund, at the same time as the ABN, as per the ATO Website, unless they're wrong. I also had to set-up my own Banking, though again shown as supplied. Only after much drama with the ATO, including embarrassing them with a large sign-board out the front of their Office at Tower 3, right near you at your 699 Collins Street. I just wanted an update/resolution, though now I am looking at withdrawing from the system and having the entire matter looked at. The ATO SMSF Regulator person has seen all of my documentation and did have reserves when I spoke of buying a collectable car, but it was not limited by the Deed, so would/could only come under scrutiny during an audit, which is probable after my interactions with them. They also knew of your company, possibly recalling the ASIC Financial Advice Fine from 2014. As a former Government Investigator, I also pointed out a flaw in their system that they hadn't realised. All I want to do is buy a cheap investment property, yet I still have no TFN. I spent $600 with you, on the advertised 'free' setting up, as it required a (not advertised in the draw-in carrot) Company Trust, $1,000 to secure the vehicle which is now lost, and $661 going to the ATO in Canberra. All I have available to me is to write a review of my experience, though it possibly won't be 5 Stars, and write to ASIC. A lot of work because you don't answer the phone. I did write this in your prospective member enquiry (with my contact details), as I did not have my Trust Fund details with me, though I received a generic response talking about pensions.

long term esuper client – I’ve been with esuperfund for over 10 years. I would recommend it for people who like to be in control of their super and are thinking of setting up a smsf, however, like with all smsfs you need to be organised and keep track of your super investments, bank transactions/statements, invoices and receipts, so a smsf may not be appropriate for… Read more

everyone.

Once a year you complete the online checklist and provide esuperfund with the information they need to complete the annual compliance documentation and tax return for your smsf (some information they will have already). Once you get used to the process it’s fairly straightforward.

You then need to review and sign off on the annual compliance documentation, so if you’re unsure or unhappy about anything you should follow up with them.

They respond to any queries you may have via email/inbox; it can be a little stressful at first if you don’t understand the process, so it’s good to be patient, polite and persistent, and they will explain anything you don’t understand and resolve any issues. As they have done for me over the years.

They have a regular newsletter which keeps you up to date on the latest superannuation industry news and legislation; they also have a lot of information on their website.

They have provided a reliable and consistent service over the last 12 years and every year they make improvements to the annual compliance process (which is all done online) to make it as streamlined and stress free as possible, and they have also been responsive to and accommodated my individual needs and requests, which is appreciated.

I invest in Australian shares and have been able to open as many smsf bank accounts as I’ve wanted or needed to although I have just one account that I use for my share transactions and incoming super payments and then I transfer cash from that account to whichever other account is paying the best interest at the time. I think I even received a courtesy email from esuperfund at one point to advise that the interest rate for a particular smsf bank account had gone up and it was actually better than what I was getting in my other smsf bank account so I proceeded to transfer my money over.

Great cost effective service – We have been with Esuper now for 3 years. We have a range of global investments, australian equities, crypto currency. Our experience is very positive. trustees.

ESuper manages the paperwork, streamlines the processes and provides much appreciated resources. There is a good knowledge base of information which we often draw on. Most paperwork that needs to be developed/managed as trustees is supported by the esuper processes and standard proformas saving a lot of time and angst. It is true that you need to be aware of your responsibilities as trustees, and this takes some effort, but that will always be the case.

While we have not needed to ring Esuper, we have messaged on numerous occasions and have had effective communications and prompt responses.

We have tried to use the investment vehicles which are supported by Esuper and this has streamlined our annual processes. The annual processes also have a good knowledge resources, and we have been happy with the service.

ESuper is very cost effective and is really good value for money.

Overall, we rate the service highly.

We have been with eSuperfund now for 12 years+, and on the whole have been very satisfied. Setting up and managing my eSuperfund account has been a positive experience. I value the reasonable ease in which I can navigate the platforms provided, and highly value the prompt and professional responses to queries I have had with CMC Broking and the eSuperfund client portal. Please continue to provide prompt and professional service. I can recommend eSuperfund to prospective clients based on my experience.

Not easy to contact – They may have a good product but they have closed all the phone lines for direct and instant communication. The only mode to contact them is via electronic mode and then wait for days to get the answers. This may save their time but the valuable time for fund members who may require instant answers. Hope there is another competitor!!

Not sure I can recommend as the fee's kept going up each year at what seemed to be unreasonable rates and when I was leaving recently for another accountant with reasonable fees they didn't seem to want to help at all and seemed to do a 'bye then' so it's left it challenging to move to the new accountant as they don't bother to help with the docs the new accountant asks for and just give a generic 'find and download the docs yourself' type thing.

My time with e-super started out well. After a year, the service level dropped significantly. I eventually took the fund off them, I got an accountant to do returns and auditing for a slightly cheaper amount and I use WRKR as my electronic service address which costs about $50 per year.

I read online reviews saying that eSuperfund locks its clients into their preferred banking and brokerage providers. That is not true! I have been using eSuperfund as my SMSF administrator for over 15 years. And I have opened a new bank account and a new trading account with a broker of my choice without any problem. In fact eSuperfund assisted me when I was working out how to upload my trading data. So far I can't fault eSuperfund's services.

Esuperfund offers the best range of SMSF services available in Australia. Our SMSF was setup by ESuperfund in 2008 when my wife and I were still in the workforce. we received from our previous employers when we retired. During our accumulation years we were able to invest our super money in Australian securities and term deposits. Esuperfund looks after all our accounting and legal paperwork required to remain compliant with ATO's strict compliance requirements. We are looking forward to many more years with ESuperfund. I believe deciding to setup an SMSF and going with ESuperfund was the best decision we made with regards to providing a solid financial foundation for our retirement.

I have been a client of ESUPERFUND for 9 years now and I have nothing but positive words to say about them. Everything I engaged them for, they have done to a standard I would expect. Their annual fee is very reasonable and I have had zero issues with them over this time. For anyone looking to setup their own SMSF they should be one of the first you consider and look at.

We had our SMSF established through Esuperfund and used their services since 2010. They are always quick to respond to queries. The annual audit fee has been going up more frequently (every year recently) but still competitive. If I was to find a negative, it would be the timing of releasing the annual checklist and completing the annual tax return, as it has shifted from July/August to September-December in the past 3 years.
