while we try to understand how this happened to us. It is life-shattering enough without being treated like a criminal by an insurer.

The doctor has already filled out their forms and explicitly noted that this was an incidental find. My son saw this doctor for the first time on 10 January regarding stomach issues and didn't return until the 21st when the headaches started and the tumour was found. There were no visits in between, there is literally nothing to give them--yet Fast Cover is demanding "notes" for those missing days just to stall a $24,900 payout. To even imply that a father would lie about his son having a tumour is sick and disgusting. Because we have absolutely nothing to hide and dozens of family and friends to back up every fact of this ordeal, we will not be bullied by the "Lukes" of the world, Fast Cover, or Lloyd’s. I would give everything I own to make this go away, but I refuse to let these people abuse our family for profit while we are suffering.

We complained to the underwriters, Lloyd’s, but they are just as bad. These are global giants who hide behind meaningless, "humane" words while they bankroll a broken system that they know cannot hold them accountable. They are big on promises, but they allow this conduct to continue because they know they have the money and power to crush the average consumer. You must check who the underwriters are before you buy and avoid these people at all costs.

Stay far away from Fast Cover. Do not be fooled by their cheaper prices or marketing; they are cheap for a reason-they simply do not pay when a significant claim is made. My advice is to pay more with a reputable insurer for actual peace of mind. It defies logic how these people are allowed to get away with this without any recourse or penalty. It is a broken system that needs to change. No one is exempt from these life-changing events, and dealing with this is hard enough without this kind of abuse. Once my son is healthy, I will do my absolute best to expose these people for exactly what they are. No other family should ever have to endure this during their darkest moments.

common, only a small % require urgent surgery yet Fast Cover landed on the most generalised definition of the condition ignoring the fact of imminent urinary failure. I am Out of pocket over $5,500. WARNING FAST COVER is not reputable and will not meet your reasonable claim expectations! On the face their Reviews look positive but look at how many are pre claim ! importantly they did not make and already stressful situation worse by requesting onerous amounts of information, like most insurance do!

I had natural disaster claim from my family’s holiday in the Whitsundays over January 2026. We were inundated with cyclonic rain and wind and decided to leave the island for safety. There were some complicated aspects to my claim and Fast Cover were very understanding of my position. They treated me like a customer. Not an imposition.

Upon my return I lodged a claim for loss and immediately I knew this was going to be straight forward, no nonsense resolution.

There was constant contact form the loss assessor, updates on the claim (which was resolved in days, not weeks) and once the detailed assessment letter arrived in my inbox and settlement was agreed, the money was in my account the next day.

It was a seamless and fair experience. I will be using them next time.

I would strongly caution anyone considering Fast Cover Travel Insurance to read the fine print very carefully before purchasing a policy. husband and I had no choice but to cancel our trip.

Regrettably, Fast Cover declined to cover any of our cancellation expenses, resulting in a personal loss of $25,000. The response we received lacked empathy or understanding and instead reflected a rigid application of policy terms without consideration for our circumstances.

Since then, I have learned that friends insured with 1Cover Travel Insurance faced similar situations but experienced no difficulty in having their claims approved.

It is deeply disappointing that a company in the business of providing support during unforeseen and distressing times could demonstrate so little compassion. I sincerely hope Fast Cover reflects on how it handles claims from families dealing with terminal illness in the future.

As a retired man, I didn't have to worry about loss of income and many other items. At my age, I was only thinking of medical insurance. Fast cover was the company which gave that insurance. Very easy to arrange online. Have used them before and will use Fast Cover again. Was a bit confusing on the existing medical conditions but in balance, was okay. Most companies offer excess cover up to $5k but this was an add-on. People need to be sure on what activities they are doing to make they are covered. Show details

Online application was easy and very straight-forward. We just wanted insurance to cover pre-booked accommodation and travel costs for travel within Australia without the need to consider any complicated options or to pay for cover extras we did not want.
