Very good mobile Phone service – On the 7th July, 2017 I purchased a new Blackberry Keyone Mobile Phone because our Company has been using Blackberry Phones for a long time. However after 4 weeks the phone became faulty and I phoned Blackberry and they told me to send the phone to a company called Fonebiz. The check in date was the 31st August,2017 and the completion date was… Read more
the 5th September,2017. They gave me a login pass word so I could check on the progress of the repair. I also rang up 3 times and every time I rang I spoke to a lady from Iran by the name of Rani and she was always extremely helpful and she made sure that I would get the phone back a soon as possible. I found the entire system at fonebiz very good and well organized. We therefore recommend fonebiz.
No customer support & hugely overpriced repairs – I sent my 2 year old Sony to them as instructed to by Sony, and a number of days later got a quote to fix all sorts of stuff (most i didn't understand) for $550. Note - I could buy a refurb model for about $300. They never told me the root cause, and the quote made no sense as is all part numbers. After 6 days of no response to my query, i… Read more
called them at 9:01 (and got a 'we are experiencing a high volume of calls) and waited 10 mins got through to someone who told me most customers have insurance, so that's why they charge high.
Overall, would never use this mob again, something just doesn't seem right...

Will Never Go Through Fonebiz Ever Again – Sent Fonebiz my Microsoft Lumia 950 with a cracked screen. After that was replaced they found that there was audio problems, strange since there was none when i had the phone, when that was fixed then they found that there was a fault with the front camera, again strange since it was fine when I had the phone. Their repair portal said that the… Read more
front camera was to be fixed on 25.1.2017. They kept their repair portal up to date up to Wednesday 25 January 2017. When I checked the portal yesterday, everything was still stuck on last Wednesday, When I checked it today, everything was completed and the phone was being sent back to me (supposedly fully repaired). I phoned them up and asked why the phone had been completely repaired by Wednesday last week and was only being returned to me today. They had to go through quality assurance to make sure that the phone was ready to be shipped back to me. I told them that should have been done last Wednesday rather than today, I did not get a reply to that. As far as I am concerned their phone manner needs improving and it will be interesting to see if my phone is actually fixed or not. If not i will be going back to them and demanding that they fix my phone completely free of charge or I will make sure that Fair Trading NSW looks into them and fines them for them being a company that cannot be trusted. I will Not be going through them ever again.
No complaints - Fixed my Sony Phone Quickly and Efficiently – I called Sony with an issue with the touch screen on my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and was told to send it to Fonebiz as they were the only ones authorised to repair it. After this I checked the reviews online and was a little put off by the large number of negative comments and reviews but there really isn't a choice if you want your phone repaired… Read more
under warranty.
I have to say though I've been pleasantly impressed by Fonebiz and their work, my phone was fixed fairly quickly and is working perfectly, looks like a new phone again. I kept an eye on its progress through their website which although basic and could do with a revamp was fine, the only time I was a bit thrown was when they changed job numbers although I was notified through an email so I could still track it.
So I rate them 4 stars (4.5 if I could) for a service I could find little fault with, this was for a warranty job though so I can't comment on how they are if not a warranty job.
very efficient service – I was referred to Fonebiz by Sony as a recommended repairer because my screen had started to lift. So called last Thursday and spoke to Vince. He advised that the repair would take approximately 1 week and they would try and put it as warranty repair as it seems this was a common fault. So apprehensively I took my phone on Friday 1st April handed… Read more
it over as I had seen some poor reviews which made me a little worried. The lady took my phone and advised that I would receive an email with login in details to check on progress. This came through later that day. Checked other progress today being Thursday and the phone was ready to go. I went in and spoke to the same lady that a handed the phone to, to begin with. She pulled my phone out, new front screen back cover and the covers that hold the simple and sd card all new. They even gave me a protective case for free a Nd all under warranty. I Was chuffed. Very happy with the service. Thank you Fonebiz. Great work.
Positive reviews
thank you fonebiz – OPPO referred me to Fonebiz to purchase a replacement mobile card sim tray. I was very impressed with there prompt and attentive service. They replaced my son's mobile sim card complimentary and only charged me for the cost of postage. I was very grateful.
Perfect Outcome – A simple trip on the train to the service centre and my issue is resolved on the spot by the two representatives. During the short wait in the foyer while processing happened, I was asked by a third staff member if I was being looked after. Given the high cost of the product, this is the only standard of service I'd be happy with and I have complete confidence in any future dealings with Fonebiz.
Great Service! – I want to say thank you Fonebiz for fixing my Sony Z3 compact. I sent my phone for repair under warranty. Upper screen not working, worn out covers, little corner dent, speaker playing up too. I got my phone back within less than a week looking like a shiny brand new phone! Everything's fixed, no dent and scratches with free front and back… Read more
protector. Kept me updated with every stages of repair through their website. Their shipping was overnight, from NSW to VIC. I didn't pay anything (except my own postage cost to send the phone) because it's still under warranty. Thank you Fonebiz for doing an awesome job.
Negative reviews
The most useless Company – My phone (HTC 10) is still under warranty, Sent my phone to them mid April. My phone came fixed but also had a dent on the body and scratches on the screen. I returned it back to them and 3 weeks later they gave me a replacement phone with the vibration not working. Got the phone from repair but now the screen is popping out from the body. More than 3 months they can't fix the problem.
The worst service center I ever seen in this world – My mobile is under warranty period, and its display has been some graphical problem, and the said it happened due to mechanical shock, as a proof they showed some scratches in the body!! You can understand their quality of service from this.
Worse than useless – Fonebiz have had my phone for ten days. They say there was no paperwork included, but when I track the repair progress on their tracking site (http://mcd.fonebiz.com.au/repairstatus.aspx) using a tracking number which only appeared on the paperwork which I included with the phone, I get a response which says ''Your Microsoft product is on it's… Read more
way to Microsoft". They don't seem to understand their own software. I hope that I eventually see my phone again and that their technical work is several orders of magnitude better than their customer service whose motto seems to be :- "if you can't mess the customer, lie!".

I cannot imagine better service – I contacted Sony regarding my mobile phone and they told me that as it was just out of warranty they would cover the cost of repairs.....Lucky break number 1. The amount of help she gave me in setting up a temporary phone… Read more

Lucky break number 2.
I had just started to use the temporary phone and the next day I recieved an email to say that my phone was ready to collect.......Lucky break number 3.
I cannot imagine a better outcome to what could have been a drawn out messy arrangement.
Top marks for staff and company.
Thank you very much.
Sony force you to use fonebiz for repairs – Sony force you to use fonebiz for repairs, and they are extremely expensive. I would NOT recommend them ever. I would never buy another Sony phone

Never take your phone to fonebiz to get fixed – I had an LG G5 for only a few months and it started overheating and then just stopped turning on. I send it to fonebiz under warranty still and there claim that its water damage and want to charge over $1,000 to fix it (which is more then what the phone is worth brand new) and if you don't want them to fix it, there charge you for a "quote" which… Read more
is $50+ and then to also send it back to you. I also called lg and I waited over a month for a manger at lg tp get back to me and wait on the phone to them for over at least 2hrs all together just for them to say there won't help. I would keep away from both company's and if i could give them zero stars i would.
phathetic Service and absolute con – i was offered replacement phone by MS due to horrific work man ship carried out by Fonbiz! after few emails MS offered replacement and I had to sent my phone back to this shonky company. every thing excellent from MS side there were keep updated me whole process until I receive my phone. I got the phone wow this is exactly same as what I sent ! I… Read more
called them up after week or so raised the matter ! what a service by manager and customer service. service note in written says phone has repaired but this two insist and adamant phone was replace!. when I brought the attention to service note customer service rep's answer is "PCB rm-1085 "(part replaced ) is what Microsoft call phone wow what a joke. so flaks this people have no remorse or dignity simply don't deal with them and I don't understand the fact why big cooperation's like MS deals with this type of business
Horrific experience – My Lumia640 was 1 month old won't charge or turn on contacted Microsoft and was told to send to fonebiz after a week got an email saying had water damage and was being sent back unrepaired and I had to pay a quote fee .Pursuing my legal rights under Australian consumer affairs as this is not right.
Absolutely terrible company – Similar negative story to all the other reviews. Do not bother with this company. Get a quote from a local repairer and request that quote be paid under warranty, rather than accepting Fonebiz as a repairer throughout a warranty claim. Sent my phone off for repair (Sony Xperia Z2) and was alerted it had 'liquid damage'. The phone's… Read more
'water-proof'. After Fonebiz threatening to 'dispose' of my phone (aka resell it as a refurb for a profit) I called up Sony and threatened legal action through ACCC (as Sony was refusing to pay for the repairs due to it being 'liquid damage', despite the fact the phone is advertised as waterproof). Sony eventually flipped the bill, only after I received 4 or 5 emails threatening 'disposal' of my phone.
Once I received the unit back the screen had various cracks on it (the screen on the unit I sent off was in perfect condition). I contacted Sony and was told I should send it back to Fonebiz for repair yet again. I'm now in the exact same situation as before, only this time Fonebiz is (in my opinion) liable for the damages - not Sony. Fonebiz is once again threatening to dispose of the phone (sell it for profit), Sony is refusing to pay for the repairs as Fonebiz (or their courier) is at fault and I'm stuck here with an incompetent company threatening to steal my $500 phone.
Exceeded Expectations – Expectations were low based of existing reviews, however - Overall a good experience for someone who relies on my gear. Things I'm happy with: - Same day repair once they received the item. - Fast shipping. - Streamlined support pipeline from HTC / fonebiz. I didn't have to concern myself with anything other than contacting support and packing the product to be sent.
Terrible – Worst customer service, repaired a problem and created another without empathy or a reasonable solution. Will go back to Apple for my next Phone, Sony has Mo after-care service, no replacement or loan phone, etc. Would never happen at Apple.
Fabulous Repair ! – When I sent my Xperia Z5 Premium to Fonebiz it didn't look good at all. Shattered front and back screens and a twisted chassis. And it didn't work. A couple of weeks later it's back and it's like new. Really, like brand new, and working absolutely perfectly. I am so very grateful to Fonebiz for a fabulous job. Thank you.
Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones – Read a bunch of horror stories here assuming the worst. Thought I'd put a review in here to give those who are dealing with fonebiz a little bit of hope. I phoned them up on the day of my replacement HTC Vive HMD arriving there, and asked if they had received it and why my job number didn't exist. They told me they had and the job number I was… Read more
given will be updated shortly. I then phoned back the next day explaining that my job number had not been updated, and they then said I would receive an email by that day with a new job number. Surely enough I received it within half an hour and the job was completed only a few hours later! They then dispatched a brand new replacement HMD which I received the next day :)
Locked and hung up on – Sent my unlocked nokia lumia for repair under warranty they put in a refurbished circuit board with a different imei # and now it won't unlock. I rang them and explained the problem but was put on hold until the phone went dead/hung up on. Will try again not a happy customer yet. Just want my phone unlocked like it was before they got it.

Good Work, Thanks – My Sony Xperia Z3 Compact had the screen separating from the main body. Apparently a common problem with this model. Called up Sony, It was still under warranty, and they set up the repair through Fonebiz. Came back all fixed and cleaned up. Looks like they replaced the whole body too, looks like a new phone.
Actually very good – I have an Oppo Mirror 5S and I dropped it and completely broke the screen (the display itself was broken). Oppo uses Fonebiz as their chosen repairer. After I read reviews from here, I decided not to use them, but my phone is not that mainstream so I couldn't find the parts online. I sent my phone to Fonebiz on 3/3/16, I received my quote on the… Read more
8/3 (it took me a few days to pay because I didn't have the money) and received my phone yesterday (15/3). To repair the screen it was $159.60 and I paid $9.99 to have the handset shipped away. I will defiantly use them again.
Bad – Be VERY careful before sending your phone to these thieves. They tried to quote me $583 to repair the screen. I was quoted $220 locally. They also DEMAND $50 to return your phone (or they will "dispose of it for free" - i.e. use your phone for parts). Sadly reputable companies like HTC are using these low grade companies who make significant… Read more
profits by basically holding customers hostage. My handset can be bought brand new for less than their quote.
Fantastic service – My phone arrived for service - I had online access with info updates. It was returned repaired including new screen protector. Very happy highly recommend. Thank you Fonebiz
Rip off and bad customer service! – Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Instructed by Sony to send my phone away for examination which resulted in these guys quoting me $600 for a bunch components that weren't damaged. An absolute rip off! Do not use them!!
Believe the bad reviews. Don't send your phone here unless you have no choice, i.e for warranty – 3 weeks already and they haven't even looked at my Sony Xperia Z3yet. Why Sony would choose such a crap agent I have no idea, but if you can avoid using them for an out of warranty repair then do so.
Basically Sony won't even hassle them until 3 weeks have elapsed. Once Sony did hassle them things… Read more
Don't be tricked by their "warranty repair" for Microsoft Care Direct – I have a new Lumia 640 XL and broke its screen. I went to the Microsoft Care Direct website and filled the details and was instructed to send the phone for repair. A few days later I got an quote from fonebiz which is about $150 because they think it's a non-warranty repair. The new phone only cost around $250 so there is no point to repair it. I… Read more
tried to get my phone back but they said I have to pay $50 "inspection fee." So literally as soon as you send your phone for warranty repair, you'll be charged for at least $50 if you want your phone back, otherwise they'll get your phone parts. Is this how they earn money?
I complained to the Microsoft Care Direct and they contacted Fonebiz and had them repaired my phone… Read more
Incompetent and liars. Avoid their service – Sony referred me to this useless company for warranty reasons (they are nominated repair agents for Sony). I have sent back the phone 4 times in the last 3 months they still haven't managed to fix my phone. They are rude and Ignorant and more than all they are incompetent. Sony doesn't want to replace the phone despite making a promise to replace it. I will never buy a Sony product ever again nor will I use Fonebiz
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE – My phone company OPPO referred me to use this company for warranty sake; although twice submitted, FoneBiz did not fix the problem - faulty camera. After submitting the hp to the OPPO centre instead, they took the liberty to use FoneBiz again.. Currently, I'm waiting too long without a change in 'repair status' on the FoneBiz website. Total time… Read more
to fix hp - 1.5 months and still waiting, on top of several unnecessary postage costs.

Incompetent And Ignorant – Shocking. I gave them a full triage of what I had tried and failed to do to fix a rebooting issue with my phone. They responded that they would try step 1 -- downgrading to an old, outdated and unsupported version of stock android -- and entirely ignored my reply that it would not help. It did not. Excellent service, friendly custome service representative – Sony phone fell out of pocket and smashed front screen. Sony directed us to Fonebiz. of repairs, we were kept up to date by the same customer service representative that we initially contacted (she was absolutely amazing). The turn around time from when we sent the phone in to when we got it back was just over two weeks (phone looked brand new), screen protectors arrived with the phone. If we could give 10 stars we would. We have dealt with many companies over the years regarding technical equipment, Fonebiz standards and service is exceptional. Thank you.
Shut the door before I got service – I took my Xperia z3 to the villa wood branch, I spoke to someone on the phone to tell me the price for a screen replacement, I got told $250 I asked if there are any hidden cost and was explained no. I drove 1 hour 30 minutes to get there and was disappointed to find out by some guy that it isn't $250 and that the price can rise up. I don't know… Read more
how the cost of the screen can rise up, all costs shouldn't inflate within a week. I then left with the same broken phone and a big disappointment.
Horrible Service – Long hold times, has the phone for over 4 weeks, no respond to emails, rude customer service and even ruder manager!
