ordered (a very small item as a test run). According to Gearbest (or whoever it is I actually paid) it shipped on 22 June. According to Aust Post, it's still in Singapore. Customer service said "wait", and that they can only refund if I return the item that has never turned up.

claim can be used "with ALL your account transactions" (https://www.gearbest.com/blog/gb-feature/insider-guide-to-using-the-gb-wallet-to-your-advantage-2858) I have no option to pay with it and in customer ticket, they told me, that I can only order from one specific store (Ursmart Store). I have no idea where do they get their rules, but at this point I honestly hate this "shop" and will never buy anything here ever again. I have never had any problems with Amazon.de, which I use regularly, but this is just ridiculous. Very freely paraphrasing their answers "We'll take your money and if you want them back, you can order something from us. But only from this very specific tiny part of our website, ok?" NOT OK!!!

don't think I would buy anything so expensive from them again, but for stuff up to say $100 I would be happy to. It's not any different to buying from Aliexpress - most of the time things are fine but if something goes wrong, it can be very hard to have it put right I think.
Quick delivery. Great value phone – I was nervous using this company for the first time to buy a Xiaomi, Redmi Note 6 Pro. Great price, great phone and really fast delivery from Hong Kong to Perth. my orders. I discontinued purchasing and now I order everything from AliExpress. I have had no issue with non-delivery claims & refunds with AliExpress. People, we should not state that all Chinese business are dishonest - it is simple fact that online stores and selling are all subject to dramatic market shifts. Yes, this site was not honest, and people here have lost money in the end but do not tar all Chinese business with the same brush, this happens also in Australia on a regular basis.

Gearbest as far as I am aware pulled out of their problems around Mid 2022 amidst a lot of turmoil. I cannot update you on their policies and past behaviours as I do not deal with them anymore. Other here have and can give you updates.
As many buyers should be aware you should check their safeguard triggers against the following:
Ordering from China
1) ensure they cover you for logical failure proof of non-delivery and some sort systems tracking in their system 2) some sort damages claim / warranty claim procedures upon opening the parcel (claims should be IMMEDIATE 24 hours claims for best outcomes 3) contact ability to supplier 4) feedback of goods
I will say it again you get what you pay and if the delivery is very slow, you can sometimes alter the delivery channels they use to expedite the goods on ordering - usually 2 weeks.
You will save yourself lots of money by ordering directly from China, but you can also badly be burned by ordering copycat products that look good but are inferior knock offs. Buyer beware - read the fine print on specifications and if the ad does do not contain sensible detailed specifications do not buy. Inferior products are products too good to be true pricing compared others selling the same. I often compare at least 5 prices and go for the one with most honest detail about what you are getting and not the lowest price. Feedbacks can be helpful as well. Sometimes, the lowest price item is the slowest logistical delivery as well. There are some suppliers that trim margins and deliver very fast, but these are unpredictable and hard to pick.
Finally: In my dealing with AliExpress - I have been refunded over $300 in 4 years dealing with them. These were for non-delivery, damaged unusable goods, half refunds (half-life usage policy) on warranty claims, Those claims were made against their internal insurance policies or case by case offers of compensation from the suppliers.

Closed without warning, taking customers money and not delivering – Purchased item using PayPal and received confirmation of order. When I hadn’t received delivery details after 2 weeks, I checked back on email and tried to access links to website to follow up. Invalid URL. Every link had been closed down. Took my money but no intention to deliver. Lucky for PayPal I got a full refund.
They are not a retail company they are an aggregator – I contacted them about a very slow delivery and they said I should contact "the supplier". Very disappointing. I thought I was dealing with the supplier, but apparently not. Shipping email said my order was shipped on the 16 of the month but the tracking shows my order was dispatched on the 31st of the month. AUD they offered some 70 US -it looks like this is common tactics from chinese sellers as this is not a first time I was dealing with similar situation. After long exchanging emails they offered short of 100 AUD so I agreed and I purchased another model. Since the purchased time I am still waiting for this other phone (2 months already) and the whole time already I've wasted approx 6 month. Customer service there is totally hopeless, got limited English and simply do not understand what are you talking about. Beware before you buy from Gearbest – Brought 3 items on 8/2/21 and was charged the whole amount. After numerous mails I was informed on 2nd March they are not in stock. On 24th March they posted one of the item which I received on 29th of April. Took the matter to PayPal. Since it is a one off payment for all 3 items, PayPal concluded that all items are delivered and closed the case. Beware they will charge you for all items together and post each item separately. damaged packaging but he refuse to accept it instead he keep on saying " refer to Xiaomi wedsite for correct use... 3 months trying to get him to understand but he just ignore what i am saying...I have provided proof of the conversation to Gearbest representative who takes 24hrs to answer back. Replies are generic and some asking to send more pictures of the damaged packaging(after 3 months who keep these). 1 ticket has been pending on platform arbitration since 23 of January 2021 where The seller has rejected the claim. 4 months, I haven't received my item. Can't apply for refund – 4 months, I haven't received my item. Can't apply for refund. Says it has been delivered, but they tracking number is fake. Have talked to Gearbest support, they tell me to apply for a refund, but the website won't allow me. It is just a never ending loop of errors. Most of the Gearbest support team members i spoke to don't have the best grasp of english. I've already cut my loses... For the sake of your sanity, stay away!
