Can't even begin to describe how absolutely atrocious and plain nasty this company is. I assume this behaviour is specific to Australia with its zero privacy rules - in Europe they'd be fined millions. In my stupidity I purchased an HP printer, mostly because I regularly need to scan documents. To my surprise, scanning (on my own private device!)… Read more
requires that you create an account with HP, who may or may not also access the sensitive information on these scans. I then also discovered that for it to run the scanning, it requires to know my geographical location. Internet forums are overflowing with complaints about this predatory practice - if someone is interested in running a class action against them, it could be a nice settlement. Do yourselves a favour - there are better, cheaper options out there.

I just bought a full set of XL cartridges for my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. I installed them and they showed EMPTY, plus a notification: “SUPPLY SYSTEM PROBLEM”. Been using HP for over 15 years. Last 5 years was a very disappointed. After warranty end the laptop crash. Bought another laptop direct from HP and it was recommended by HP staff for business used. Just over 1 years and a half but not even 2 years and the laptop crash, couldn't turn on or charge. Lucky, bought extra care so it is still under… Read more
warranty to be fix. Laptop wasn't cheap when purchased but if HP laptop only slightly last over 1 year will need to consider to go for another brand. I am very disappointed with HP quality.
A genuine rip-off! – The opportunism of this company takes my breath away with disgust! I bought one of their inkjet printers eight years ago, and it is now past the warranty period. However, the updates make it impossible to use any much cheaper compatible cartridges; only genuine HP cartridges will be recognised by the printer. It makes sense when trying to… Read more
protect themselves from warranty claims due to faulty cartridges.
With older printers like mine, it makes no sense to insist on using genuine HP cartridges except for self-serving and opportunistic gain! There is no hint of customer service here! To give you an idea of how this enforced rule pans out on our bank accounts: I can get 5 XL compatible cartridges (two black and three coloureds) for $104.34 versus $350 for the same, genuine HP ones! I call that a genuine rip-off!
Cheap laptop – Laptop cheap nasty gone dead on me after 7 months useless and can’t speak to anyone at HP Show details
HP - What Do These Letters Really Stand For? – I’ve finally come to the realisation and understanding of what the letters HP stand for - Hopeless and Pathetic. I'm sure that Bill Hewlett and David Packard would turn over in their graves. Since starting my own business, I have purchased at least 8 HP monitors (including 2 large curved screens), 10 high performance note books and 6 printers. … Read more
Despite the difficulties (and there have been many) I have remained loyal to the brand with my most recent purchase being an Officejet 9020e Printer to replace an existing printer that HP had replaced a few months earlier because of a manufacturing fault.
Low on ink, I replaced the ink cartridges with genuine HP ink cartridges we had in the office on Friday. Instantly the printer refused to operate and began alarming instructing me to ‘check my HP account’. I then spent 2 days online followed by an hour and a half on the phone with someone from HP printer support who assured me that all would be well by the end of the day. It has now refused to print for 4 days!
Do you think I’ve heard anything back from anyone at HP? – No! Do you think the printer I purchased in January and is still under warranty is working? – No! Do you think anyone at HP gives a damn? – No!
It’s hard to comprehend how a Company that spends $millions in an effort to attract new customers will treat its own loyal clients in such a way.

crap service and repairs – i got a hp victus i5 12500h and gtx 1650. had it for a couple months. noticed a couple issues with it as time went on. then one of my mates broke it. so my dad send it off to hp to get repaired. 400 dollars and 1 month later i got it back with the screen that we paid to get fixed. the wifi didnt work. my ssd reset (months of school work lost).… Read more

The printer is a total scam. I have never printed any colours and it is telling me that i need to replace the yellow and the blue for the second time. It will not let me print black and white until I buy more of their overpriced scam cartridges. It… Read more
is only 3 months old. I am throwing it in the bin. This company is evil. Never buy their products. I am so dissapointed in myself for not typing HP InkJet Scam into google before deciding on this brand. I had no idea. I had bought a BLACK 937 ink but the printer will not let me use it so thats another $100 down the drain. I am mentally scarred by this experience. I bought it at officeworks. No point in making a warranty claim. They think that $75 per month to print 20 pages is reasonable.
Follow-up · Officeworks were great and gave me a full refund for it and then I bought a BROTHER printer which works perfectly. I recommend office works but stay away from HP.

Excellent service! Better than Apple – Excellent service, and I say BETTER even than Apple. I had HP Elitebook x360 G8 in 2021. That machine was expensive but has 3 year warranty. About 2.5 years later the touch screen failed. I called HP, and was transferred to communication via WhatsApp. Once the service is logged - a technician actually visits you ON SITE for repair. that the battery doesn't seem to be holding charge.. they offered to check the battery and upon confirmation of a fault they replaced my battery. The whole process was all covered by warranty. The HP Elitebook is still going strong with brand new battery after 3 years and in this day and age it is unusual for a tech item to last this long. I am certainly going to buy HP next time.
Best ever service – Bought a HP laptop, in its 3rd year ran into problems and ceased to switch on. Sent it to local repair guys to fix, they charged me $99 and computer still not working. One year after I bought an HP 15 i7 Laptop, it could not start properly as HP did not provide an update for the SD card to run WINDOWS 11. HP could not care less. months is inexcusable. I know the company changed ownership perhaps this has led to the huge fall in standards.

Accepted a parcel locker address for delivery with an estimate of 1-3 Business Days. 5 Business Days later HP called me and advised they will not deliver to parcel lockers and require signature on delivery with delivery only being Monday to Friday business hours (which I cannot accomodate due to working full time). Fair dinkum is this a technology company, everything seems to happen manually and very slow. I was just going to get another laptop from them once the refund came thru, but I definitely won’t be dealing with this company again.
I came to provide feedback to hp and saw their rating. I should have checked before choosing them. Bad feedback is not the issue, not even bothering to respond to the feedback is simply terrible and poor. You really should think about the customer, but it appears all you want to do is make sales. Again HP products are good... however you can not rely on them as a business partner... I have purchased all items through Harvey Norman before and never had an issue.... strongly recommend to buy from a store like Harvey Norman and not directly.
Bought a new HP printer. It would not set up - was stuck in a loop trying to load software. Support agreed there was a problem, said they'd speak to a supervisor & ring back in an hour. HP Instant Ink - what a complete rip off! If I could give them zero stars I would. This is just corporate greed. It was sold to us as a 53% saving by signing up to the HP instant ink subscription and the ink cartridges would be sent to us when we were getting low and at a discounted price. We did this in 2022 and selected the cheapest option which… Read more
allowed us to print 10 pages a month for the fee charged although we were charged more per month if we went over the 10 pages. HP sent us the initial introductory ink cartridges. We very rarely print but sometimes need to print 30 pages some months and then none for 2 - 3 months - needless to say they charged us more for the 30 page month and the standard rate even when we weren't printing. The pages do roll over for one month - so maximum of 20 pages but that's where it stops. They haven't sent any further ink in over 3 years and claim we still have some ink left in the cartridges sent to us in 2022. They monitor the HP printer which is on line. The printer counts the pages printed and the ink left in the cartridge. I advised HP the ink was so old it was no longer printing properly so they sent one black cartridge. I have decided to cancel this subscription service as it is no value for money at all when I can print what I like, when I like if I simply go to the local stores that stock the ink. After cancelling, I now find out they will charge an additional months payment (why) even though I've just ( 5 days ago) paid for this month and they also advised I will need to return all cartridges (which we would have paid for 10 fold over the years we have been paying this damn subscription). Once our subscription ends on 8 May 2025, the printer will no longer work with the cartridges they sent us - we have to go and purchase new HP ink cartridges from a local store (even though they just sent us a brand new cartridge and some ink remains in the colour cartridge - how petty minded is that!!!) Apparently the cartridges they send under this 'Instant Ink' system are different to the normal HP cartridges and the printer will cease to work when they finally pull the plug on 8 May and if I print more than 10 pages this month, that final payment will increase!!!!. Despicable behaviour. When this printer dies, I will never buy another HP product due to their greed and petty mindedness. If this behaviour isn't illegal - it should be.
Their sales staff lie about the features/quality/ability of products just to get the sale. I have boiught two HP products in the last six months, a printer and a laptop. Both of these items are not worth the money I paid. printing. I have not received any support or service that was helpful from HP Aust. The product is HP Smart Tank 5105. Don't buy one. The laptop is an HP 16" i7 laptop. I previously had a probook which was fantastic. This new HP laptop does not have a backlit keyboard, the touchpad is woefully underwhelming. Frequently it is hard to get the cursor to move any where except at the very edges, sometimes. The keyboard is not very responsive, I often miss the first letter of a word because the keyboard failed to register. You have to press very hard to get the keys to work. My other gripe with HP is that they swing between series of laptops, e.g. Probook, Elitebook, Dragonfly etc and no name just HP laptop. Very hard to distinguish which laptops are premium or basement. \ Seriously HP, get your act together. Improve your products and live up to your name, improve customer service, and be more accountable.

NO ink (as promised) . I have sent pics of the box we received replacement in showing proof of no ink and all emails are bouncing back. Was given an alternative address and NO response . As you can imagine this has impacted our small business operating as normal BUT HP don’t care . It’s clear from all the reviews they are happy to sell products with no warranty follow up or customer service. Will be taking this matter further if we don’t get the ink they should have sent with the printer!!!
HP Laptop Model 15s-fq4079TU – I purchased an HP laptop for my business, but the quality has been terrible from day one. It’s slow, frequently freezes, and sometimes becomes so unresponsive that I can’t get any work done. This is especially frustrating since I only use it for basic tasks like checking emails and managing invoices. Overall, it has been a waste of money, time, and energy. I do not recommend HP laptops.
Don't buy a Hp Product!! – I don't think even deserves one star. Bought a laptop , ac adapter charger faulty , I was told that I have to wait if that part is available meanwhile they send me their website to shop for that part.
Poor product – Just bought a probook. Already battery going flat. From 1am ro 7th charging % went down When it was off and not in use. You' buy and pay and you get trouble already.
Flimsy, keypad fail after six months, f not working, worst support I have never received! – Laptop began to fail after six months. The keypad kept jamming and pages flying around everywhere, it got worse as the months went on, then the letter f wouldn't work, intermittently. it, I sent HP's invoices so many times. It's on their system, I bought it directly? I spent over 3 hours on to Whatsapp support without any answer (12.38, until 17.50), then to be told I would be contacted sometime later. I need a refund as I couldn't put up with that every time! I was pretty shocked at how bad support was, never again!
The laptop was finally 'repaired', it came back with the same fault. I reported it and feel I'm being fobbed off now and keep being told I would be contacted, I have not.
The quest continues. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER HP PRODUCT!
Very disappointing experience – I purchased an HP laptop from HP Australia which failed the first day. HP readily agreed to replace the unit or refund my money, but despite their promises, did not actually do anything. To get my refund took over a month, even after more than twenty phone calls to HP and a written complaint to Fair Trading. A complete waste of time.
Never buy an HP printer – Company forced a firmware update on printer, despite firmware upgrades being turned off. No way to downgrade and am now locked in to buying HP ink. Or would be, if I didn't just throw the thing away and switch companies. Never buying HP again with such scummy business practices.
