price" - no cost breakdown BUT high quality Caroma unit far better than "Bunnings" quality........................ (whatever that means.......) He said the cost to "service" my existing toilet was $650 ?? - so it seemed sensible and cost effective to replace the cistern which had a broken WATER CUT-OFF LEVER. Without a cost breakdown I was in "no-man's land - so I trusted your tradesman who seemed a likeable chap... I paid $150 deposit and we arranged installation for 20/2. On the Friday 20/2 full installation was completed in 50 minutes!!! Travelling time from Baldivis is LESS THAN 30 minutes..... and [name removed] was going to his next job at Shoalwater - 2-3 km's away. The base of the old toilet had already been lifted by me - which obviously saved on installation time. The unit fitted was a Caroma Uniset 6/3 Dual Flush Cistern 24701. DON'T KNOW COST!!!! I have checked at Bunnings and there are PLENTY of similar units for $299, $376, $524 and $590............... there are OTHER cheaper units for much less..... I had NOT STIPULATED a Caroma unit specifically - all the same to me - Iit is a second rear toilet - RARELY USED!! The total cost is a DISGRACE - or a GRAVE ERROR... Bunnings charged a FLAT installation fee of $275....... after adding a similar unit to yours we are NO-WHERE NEAR $1149................. I suggest you REVIEW the charges and offer a sensible REFUND. If not acceptable - and as we are still in the "sensible" negotiating stage I will await your reply and refrain from contacting Consumer Protection and posting the matter on Facebook until at least 6/3/2026.

this beforehand, and only discovered it after I followed Consumer Protection advice and asked to see his licence. The number he gave me was not listed on the official register, which raised serious concerns about compliance and transparency. The second plumber who attended appeared frustrated about being sent to the job, and his behaviour felt intimidating and inappropriate. As seniors, we felt fearful and vulnerable in our own home. This was not just uncomfortable—it was emotionally distressing. When we raised these concerns with Hilton Plumbing’s supervisor, the response was limited to polite but generic reassurances. There was no meaningful apology, no offer of compensation, and no acknowledgment of the emotional impact. We also requested to speak directly with the business owner, but this was not facilitated or acknowledged. Since the incident, I’ve experienced daily free-floating anxiety, which I believe is directly related to the intimidation and lack of resolution. I don’t take this lightly—it has affected my wellbeing. Consumers deserve licensed professionals, respectful treatment, and genuine accountability. I hope Hilton Plumbing will take this feedback seriously and improve how they respond to concerns.

So I called them and the lady on the phone was polite and booked me in the next day and gave me an estimate price range to expect which I thought was good. But of course it’s easy to promise great service, it’s the delivery service that counts. So Ryan the tradie comes out and with in 2 minutes I’m asking my self does he own this company as his whole attitude body language questions he asked were completely in line with what the company mentioned above. I was very happy like 10 out of 10 for effort professionalism and price and would absolutely recommend the company again especially if they were all like Ryan. Highly recommended- Professionals every step of the way – Having a significant leak somewhere on my property at 1pm on a Monday, I called 5 local plumbing companies, leaving voice mail messages and then followed up with internet/SMS messages for assistance. and desperate to talk to someone, I searched the net and seeing the reviews for Hilton Plumbing, I remembered we had used them years ago on a Sunday morning with an internal burst pipe with great success. To my shock, a real person answered the phone first attempt. A Plumber who specialised in locating leaks was on site a couple hours later. He located the leak in a very difficult position, Sorted a bypass to allow us to have water and booked another team to come and complete a more permanent solution to a very big job. Everyone I dealt with at Hilton Plumbing did what they said went they said they would do it. They have the right experience and equipment to handle the most difficult situations. I was happy with the outcome and the cost, I wont be calling anyone else in the future. As I type this a week after making the first round of calls to the other companies I'm am still to gain a reply from the other companies. I have a Electrical job coming up and will be using their Electrical arm to complete the work. Hilton obviously care for their reputation and have been professionals every step of the way.

Return customer. Called Hilton Plumbing this morning in regards to a leak in my roof, had Lauren come out in the afternoon and fix the issue (and then another issue I had) with ease. She was very professional, clear about costs and then explained the issues and how she was going to resolve them. Highly recommended.

Received excellent service again from Hilton Plumbing on Wednesday this week who connected my new fridge to our mains for the water and ice maker. Matt and Ryan were excellent to talk with and completed the job in a professional and timely manner. Only here to make sure they don't bury negative reviews under so many suspicious positive reviews, and will continue to do so. As with the last 2 reviews. They quote you from $250 for blockages and when the plumber arrives it's minimum $650 as it will need to be hydro blasted. Definitely go elsewhere as they are dishonest about pricing, relying on you to just accept it as you are desperate.

I used Hilton to service a Rheem Stellar hot water service and the experience was perfect. Quick response to my query on their website and the work was completed that day.

the plumber deemed necessary (Agreed quote $2199). Works arranged for the following day and progressed well. Chris answered all my questions and left the site tidy. Disposal items were collected the next day by his colleague. I am very happy with the quality of work undertaken and would recommend.

Great service, had a leak from an old hot water system on the roof they were out to check it out quickly and subsequently fixed it in the next few days as it was discovered during a weekend. Will use again and would recommend.

side), and the Plumber Brodie found the leak and had it fixed inside of a couple of hours. Cost was very reasonable for a problem that was costing me heaps. Brodie was professional, quick, did a quality job and a good fella to boot. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys, especially if they are all at Brodies quality.

Our experience from the initial enquiry to the completion of the replacement of the gas storage 170litre hot water unit was excellent. Daniel our plumber installed the unit and explained the regulations to me and kept me informed of parts and the job the entire time. The hot water unit was replaced within 18 hours of it breaking down and my lodging on online enquiry at 9.15pm. Highly recommend.
