Love looking at it, love driving it – I (still) love everything about my (bought new) '07 Accord Euro (still the perfect styling balance between sportiness and elegance) but especially love the roadholding, which is superb. I often drive the car just to experience that. Slight body lean on the corner then it just stays there, glued to the road (and I don't mean under VSI)). Beautiful… Read more ·  3

to look at (with full body kit) and beautiful to drive. Cannot imagine changing it for anything out there (I can handle turning the lights or wipers on myself). Had the grille and front bumper done in matte black. I think it looks super cool.

Great car , solidly built , great on fuel , sprightly performer ,good looking – Bought this 2nd hand for a 2nd car from a family member (he had it since new so we knew its history and he is a fastidious owner). Has 260k on clock but drives like new. Great car so far , built well , has full leather interior ,dual climate A/C and nice factory mags. Looks sporty with twin pipes out the back. Drives well , use 98 octane to… Read more

get longer mileages.Corners well.Like the manual gear shift when I am feeling like a "Clarkson - Feel the powerrrrr".

Swapped out standard air filter to K&N , slight performance increase and fuel consumption improvement.Decent size boot ,have put seats down to fit a mountain bike.

Solid Vtec 2.4l 140kw engine which sings when in manual mode ,bit slack in auto.

Now the cons and they are minor , has a 6 stacker CD player with no MP3 option or Bluetooth or Aux. (this was 2006 after all) You can buy an aftermarket module for this. Join the forums or facebook group for a whole lot of customization options

Superb Quality, Excellent Value – Absolutely smitten with the '08 Euro Lux 6MT we have as the wife's DD. My mother also has an '03 standard euro auto. Both are excellent cars but the manual is a lot more engaging. These were a lot of car for the money new and still excellent value on the 2nd hand market. The car is incredibly comfortable and refined and enjoyable when giving… Read more ·  1

it a good blast thru the hills. You do have to ring the little 4 banger's neck to get the most out of it but she sings when you do!

Feels solid and safe, fun to drive and incredibly good on fuel. We have averaged 8.2l/100km in the 10,000kms we have put on the clock. This is combined city/freeway driving as it commutes both on a daily basis.

Love the HIDs, auto wipers, heated leather and glass sunroof.

It's not a rocket by any means but is certainly a drivers car.

Pros:

- Cheap to Run

- Excellent build quality and reliable motoring

-All the creature comforts known to man in it's day (except auto headlights)

- Quiet, comfortable and understated.

- Great Sedan Styling

Cons:

- Paint is 'soft'... scratches very easily

- No auto headlights (but it does bong at you if you leave them on!)

Can't think of anything else i don't like about this car!

A superb well refiined and reliable motor vehicle – I have a 2006 Euro Luxury with Sat Nav 6sp manual. It is a great car and I have owned it since new. I have only just clocked up 30,000 km’s, as it does not get used much. This has been a mix of around town and long distance driving; it excels at both. I run 98 fuel and have always had it serviced regularly by the Honda dealership. There have been… Read more

no problems with the vehicle at all.

I find the seats, along with the driving position, very comfortable. I am 1.8m tall. There are plenty of adjustments you can make to them. I find the on-board computer useful and I can average 7 litres per 100km when on cruise control driving interstate. The car has smooth acceleration and the gearbox has good ratios and shifts well. Steering is light and easy. The headlights are very good and the auto wipers work well. The sunroof is another feature that I use a lot. The car comes with dual climate control and satellite navigation. Boot space is excellent, and the car has a full size spare.

My only gripes are the heated seats. They are operated by rocker switches next to the gear lever and it is very easy to accidentally switch them on without noticing, not good in an Aussie summer. I have contemplated removing the fuses, but then it is good to take the chill out of leather seats in winter. Visibility out the back is not great either, I would recommend installing after market parking sensors, although they spoil the nice clean lines, which is why I have not installed them. Other areas for improvement would be the inclusion of memory seats (I think the newer series has them). The Sat Nav works well, but along with some of the centre dash controls can be a bit cluttered and clunky to operate, but it is not a major issue, as you get used to them.

I highly recommend this car. I have had two Accord’s the first one did over 100km’s and I had no problems with that one either. It is a shame that Honda is discontinuing with the Accord Euro as it is such a nice car.

15 yrs of trouble free motoring still waiting for other brands to catch up – P{purchased my Honda euro new in 2004. With regular servicing (synthetic oil only) it is still going as good as the day of purchase. Every safety feature you would expect from a vehicle ten years younger with the performance to match most vehicles that are newer and more expensive. Vtec kicks in boi!! – Driving experience is great, although it is front wheel-drive it still handles very well. The incredible 2.4 litre Vtec kicks in like a freight train at 3000rpms with automatic, can outrun most 4 cylinders from 0.60. The cons would be that the version of my car I have lacks cupholders.  Show details

Love it, the best car I have owned – It drives like a sports car, the handling is beautiful, performance is excellent when you up the revs, the car is very reliable and comfortable. It has quality written all over it. Love the paint, styling, dash, performance and handling. So far 100% reliable. The engine is good on fuel but does run on premium so that costs a bit more.  Show details

Fading to pink !!! – I have a red 2006 Sport model. Overall not a bad car - handling feels a bit funny though. My gripe is that that Honda sales spin raved about the superiority of their paint work - unfortunately the reality does not live up to the spin. The red is fading to pink in blotches on various parts of the car. Am having discussions with Honda re a… Read more

OK – The Accord Euro I found a little disapointing in normal city traffic, as the engine needs to rev high to give the response needed. When its out on the highway it cruises OK, but can be a bit tardy to kick down unless you use the paddles. The finish is good, although the centre console can be a bit cluttered. Handling is not too bad, ride is very… Read more

firm due to sport type suspension, which can be a bit uncomfortable in country driving, but this is offset by handling. Paint seems very easily scratched, and seems quite thin. I use baby shampoo as recommended by the dealer when washing, and it gives a good finish with no streaks. Luxury Navi has a good lot of extras as standard. Nice look Paint sems very thin and easily scratched in car parks. Back seat is only for kids or very small adults due to restricted leg room. Need for premium fuel, and economy is not really great. Odd size spare is a problem if you are out in the country and need to use it for a long distance.

This is a good car…! – I got a accord euro luxury 2005 in 2017 for 4500 Aud! Overall, that still drive very smoothly and comfortable but the only I am concerned is when you reduce speed and then increase less than 3 seconds the transmission will have a gap makes you scare it will broke the gearbox, and if you wait abt more than 3 seconds b4 start to increase the speed everything runs fine. Show details ·  1

Comfortable, economical and reliable! – I've owned this my 2006 base manual Accord euro since new. Mechanically it's perfect and haven't needed to repair anything. Great for everyday driving – Handling on the car is great and you feel in control of the wheel. Very reliable car, my model has been driven since 2006 and still feels modern. Legroom is great since car is slightly longer, great boot space. Has a nice sport feel whilst also allowing you to carry the entire family for road trips.  Show details

I love my car – I love driving this car. It feels luxurious with the leather seats and looks lovely both inside and out. The heated seats are a God send in winter. The back seats are a bit squishy but I'm never sitting at the back so it doesn't matter to me! It takes unleaded 95 so can be quite costly to fill up.  Show details

14 years later still perfect – Other than perhaps a turbo diesel landcruiser, this has to be the greatest car ever built. Low cost to service, extreme luxury for the time it was built, and a nice engine powerful enough for highway cruising with a car load of people. I doubt it will break for another 14 years, my mechanic can't believe how perfect it is when he services it.  Show details

Very nice car, one of the best I ever driven. Fuel consumption is a negative – Very nice car, strong, stable good brakes etc.. One negative is with the fuel consumption. Although it generates 145 KW ( which is good), the fuel consumption is around 10.8L which is a little bit high for the size of the car. That wont put me off though, still prefer to drive it over the newer model.  Show details

acceleration but the handling feels decent. The manual gearbox is probably one of the best(if not the best) in its class in the same year.

Wind noise gets louder as the car ages.

Interior is decent for its price. The leather seats are comfortable but nowhere near any Germany's luxury brands.

One draw back is that the car requires 95 premium petrol which can be expensive at times. The car can do 100km/10L minimum for city driving while the best I did was 100km/7.5L highway.

Few points I'm currently getting the message which is not major, there is probably some suspicious issue like the sound on alternator every time I steer when I drive back home after 20 mins while it's warmed. microseconds that count.

One bit of advice I would give all Euro owners is change the tyres from the Bridgestone ones that come with it to ones with better handling and grip. The original Potenzas are ok but I then changed them to the "Bridgestone MY02 sporty-style" as the Potenzas were not available. These tyres were the worst ever with no grip whatsoever in wet weather. The front wheels would skid on taking off and the car would skid and slide when going at normal speed at roundabout and cornering.

I have since changed to Goodyear F1 asymmetric 2 and it mad ea HUGE difference to the grip, handling and steering precision of the car. The steering feedback also dramatically increased (it had previously felt very 'loose' and without any feedback).

quality of the car is fantastic with very strong equipment levels and a fantastic engine, a package that leaves the european competition for dead. To get the same equipment and power in a BMW or Merc, you would have to pay 20-30k more and in my opinion, no badge is worth that.

The only issues that I have had are as follows:

1. My front disk brakes shuddered at around 20,000kms. The dealer machined the disks and replaced the pads (free of charge) however the shudder re-appeared at 40,000kms where the dealer replaced the disks and pads. This was also done for free however my concern is that now my warranty period is over, the next time the disks warp, I will have to pay to fix it myself. This is not a one off issue as my work colleague has the same car however a 2005 model and has had the same issue at 20,000kms and the dealer has replaced the disks and pads however he is experiencing a rattling sound whenever he goes over bumps. He is still trying to get the dealer to fix it.

2. My tyres needed replacing at 35,000kms. The tyres wore unevenly even though they had been rotated and balanced and 95% of my driving is either freeway driving or normal commuting. My previously mentioned colleague has had to replace his tyres at 30,000km and having been in his car, I can confirm that he is not a hoon either. This seems like a very high wear rate however the tyre dealer that I saw said that this is pretty normal for Accord Euro customers.

I have still rated the very highly as I really do love the car, bar for Tyre wear and the break issue. If I had my time again, I would still choose the same car. Good equipment levels, quality of fit and finish both inside and out, strong performance, good handling the right balance between comfort and cornering ability. Tyre wear & Brakes
