Very pleased with the Jura E8. Makes excellent coffee and has been very reliable. Coffee temperature is the only issue - likely because we drink large flat whites and the milk frother doesn’t cope. Nothing a quick blast in the microwave won’t fix.… Read more
Some users have complained about the frother not working. There is a tiny hole in the removable lever that’s gets blocked, so very important to remove the leaver and clean every time (or run the full milk clean cycle).
Follow-up · In response to frother questions: Just about all problems can be traced back to cleaning. If you don’t run the FULL frother clean program when shutting down, the frother attachment must be removed and cleaned thoroughly, especially removing the leaver (twist it backwards and forwards and pull it out) and cleaning the very small “pinhole” and body of all debris. Also remove and clean the nozzle. No need to remove the rubber lining from the body.
Good coffee, but – 2nd warranty claim in 12 months from purchase date. Machine makes a good coffee and is very easy to use but down time for repairs is frustrating and I would not purchase again. Show details
Expensive machine for over-frothed / lukewarm coffee – This is a totally disappointing machine. Inability to control the amount of froth is one thing - but to have lukewarm coffees (at best) on the highest heat setting is inexcusable for such an expensive product. Customer service have agreed to have a look at it, which is appreciated. But after reading so many reviews regarding the same issue, it’s… Read more
disheartening to know that this is standard and nothing can be done improve the output of this machine. Now I have to risk damage during transit to send it to Melbourne, as there are no technicians in Sydney.

Coffee lover – For over 20 years I had a delonghi automatic coffee machine. But after my third one and many repairs I decided to change. I am so glad I did. The Jura E8 is easy to use, makes great coffee, froth is perfect and consistent and machine is very stylish. I loved my Mother’s Day gift that came with the machine. Show details
Great Coffee and easy to use – We have owned our Jura E8 for around 12 months. We initially had a fault code come up after 2 weeks of use and was unsure of the quality. The company arranged a courier to collect and repair. Since then, its been hassle free and we use it daily. The after sales support was great in getting it fixed Show details
Wish I had bought it sooner – We have gone through 2 breville machines and we were happy but the consistency wasn’t there so finally we gave in and bought the Jura after a fabulous demonstration at Harvey Norman in Nunawadding by the Jura rep Kelly. Now I don’t need to get up every morning and make all the coffees. The consistency of taste is perfect I had to wind back the… Read more · 2
strength which is amazing as the breville was never hot or strong enough. I use cerato for my small latte and don’t worry about the daily milk cleaning. It’s set and forget. Buy one you won’t regret it. We use Mio crema beans. Harvey matched the best online price and Kelly threw in lots of extra.
Long term review – I have had my Jura E8 for over three years now, there are a lot of short term reviews but wanted to make a longer term one for you. I cannot believe the performance of this machine and it doesn’t surprise me that it’s Juras no. 1 best selling coffee machine globally. It makes 5 coffees a day between me and hubby and not missed a single beat. Now… Read more
my only gripe and I didn’t mark a point off as it wasn’t the machine is that at the time it came with a free milk cooler thing (not sure of the name) that stopped working (ie keeping the milk cold) at about 12 months. No biggy it was free and we brought a separate milk frother that had a higher temperature range as we like hot coffee and I wanted to make two coffees with milk at once. So we use the breville milk frother along side it and use the two coffee option (which for those that don’t know when you select coffee double tap the top right button) we only discovered this about 13 months after owing it ha. It’s honestly the best coffee machine I have owned. I use the filters and only just had to descale it yesterday after three and a half years of ownership so I highly recommend using the filters. Cleaning wise I have only ever used Jura brand products and they work perfect (I get them from Harvey Norman). The machine will tell you what it needs and when it’s very user friendly. It’s not high maintenance at all and we don’t use the milk side so don’t have to clean after each use. I use the hot water function a lot to as I use it for tea and to make gravy haha. I will say when it grinds the beans it can be loud but we are all use to it now ha. Honestly one of the best appliances I have ever purchased.
Not bad at all – We bought this machine Jura E8 on the sales pitch JURA "only" make coffee machines, not blenders, microwaves, toasters etc etc.. My partner and I are enjoying the coffee it makes, the different type of beans available play a BIG roll on flavours to your coffee.. But, we do have 2 slight issues with it. We can not adjust the frother, this model… Read more
does not have a lever to adjust the froth. It's to much froth, especially if you are only having a flat white, cappuccinos"perfect". The 2nd issue is the coffee/milk spout while cleaning makes a mess, it catches some and the rest leaves a little splash on the table. So besides that we are very satisfied..

Jura E8- Good machine produces good coffee, good quality shame about the filter monitoring system – I have had the Jura E8 for about 3 years and I find that it consistently makes a good coffee whether it is a short black, long black, cappuccino, macchiato, cortado, espresso it does it well. Temperature of the coffee is good and it is easy to adjust the amount of milk foam, water, and coffee beans to the taste preferred. I don’t understand… Read more · 1
some of the earlier reviews suggesting you cannot adjust the milk for example; in fact it is quite easy to do so. Members of our family have different tastes in coffee so I regularly make coffees with different milk levels etc one after the other.
My main complaint is the fact that the machine indicates it needs a new filter when clearly it doesn’t. I generally fill the water tank with water that has already been filtered so the filter in the coffee machine should not reach capacity quickly but according to the machine it does (e.g after only 3 weeks making 3 or 4, 250 mil cups a day). Something is not right there I think also the filter cartridges are expensive. I make sure the machine is cleaned regularly according to the instruction manual using the Jura products and have never had a problem with it aside from the filter issue mentioned above. When the filter indicator does come on I generally ignore it unless it has had very heavy use.
Coffee is great but – Had the E8 for 30 months now. 1 week after the 24 month expiry was up the machine came up with error code 2. To their credit Jura Aus did organise repair under warranty which I was grateful for. Now after 30 months the water pump has failed, I get little/no coffee output. I have contacted Jura but they are not interested and advised to go to the… Read more
same company who fixed the machine previously directly, i.e. at my cost. My point in this review is that to have a machine of this expense have 2 major failures in under 3 years of life is not acceptable, be warned. I addition as a further warning or consideration, the ongoing cost of maintaining the machine in accordance with their guidelines is huge. You need: water filters ($30+ 3 or more times per year), descaling cleaner (1-2 a month depending on use), milk system cleaner (after every use) , coffee system cleaner (2-3 times per month dependent on use), honestly I think it would be nearly cheaper to buy rather than make your own!
Update Dec 23: Jura Australia contacted me, apologised and organised the machine to be re-serviced as it had only been 6 months since the previous error code 2 fix and general service. The Jura E8 is back from the repair company and I'm very happy to say, firing on all cylinders, thank you Jura/Leoni for continued support and organising.
A truly exception machine from an exceptional company – My previous Jura machine, the Ena 7, lasted 12 years! There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just wanted a bright, new, shiny machine that had all the bells and whistles. So I came here, looked at the reviews, went to the Jura site, looked at the reviews and being satisfied that this was the machine for me, went ahead and bought it. I had a… Read more
minor problem with it, so I contacted Jura, they sent me to Cafe Corporate in Myaree (Perth) and they serviced it and voila, magnificent coffee. Jeff from Cafe Corporate helped me pick the perfect coffee for the machine as they roast their own beans and make bespoke beans (mainly for Jura) as they are the agent for them, so I’m now drinking medium roasted, full bodied beans instead of the strongest I could find, cause the grinder doesn’t need that to make a strong delicious coffee. I drink black espressos and this machine makes the best, smoothest espresso I’ve ever tasted, with the bestest crema on top, no bitter after taste and always leaves me with a wanting more taste in my mouth. There are enough styles of coffees for most people, the flat white is the most popular for white coffee drinkers in my house, the foam and flavour is just right apparently, but the cappuccino is still fabulous for those that like the cafe style. When I want something a little bigger, the straight coffee is excellent, still strong and hot and about 100 mls is how I have it. You can change the settings to however you like your coffee, I have factory setting for most, but I have changed them all to hot instead of normal and I’ve changed the coffee setting to 100ml instead of 60ml and made the coffee stronger. Play around with the settings, you can always change it back to factory settings. The screen tells you what kind of coffee you are having providing you go to settings and change it, otherwise you just get pictures and that’s a bit difficult to figure out, not sure why it’s not the default, but that’s about my only whinge. Anyway, if you have any problems, the customer service people at Jura go above and beyond to help you because they are really proud of their product and they really, really want you to be happy. They bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with my machine and were just wonderful, so thank you Jura (J is silent btw) people is pronounced Ura and hopefully I’ll have many more years with this machine!

Good but pics make no sense – I love my Jura E8 except for one thing. The selection of coffee is based on images against buttons but the images make no sense other than indicating which ones use milk so you know where to put your cup. Other than that the images are ridiculous. Some show large coffee with light colour, others with dark and smaller cups and others with coffee bean on top. When you try each one there is no correlation between the picture and what you get. Show details · 1
Great customer sevice – Very happy with the customer service. One downside is to clean milk system manually every few days otherwise can spit milk outside cup ( 2-3 minutes job) Coffee temperature can be customised. Coffee personal Profiles (more than 24) can be saved in mobile app when using wifi connect. Show details

No labels to coffee types, just pictures – Lovely machine and makes good coffee if one can make out which coffee is which from the pictures on the screen. Not being experts on coffee types, we would find it useful to have the type under each picture on the scree. Show details · 1

can't make a flat white – We had an old Jura machine F8 from 2014 . Despite its faults (milk temp not high enough), it makes a great cup of coffee (flat white is my drink of choice). We decided its time to upgrade after almost 10 years so we upgraded to the Jura E8. What a disappointment it turn out to be.. Cons (compared to my old Jura F8) - using the default "flat white"… Read more
menu, 1/ 3 of the cup is milk foam so its actually a cappucino. There is no way to adjust the degree/amount of foam - it uses a lot water from the tank to rinse the milk system so you have to refill the tank every 2 days even though we only makes 2 cups of coffee a day. In my old Jura, we only need to refill every 5 days (could go longer but we refill it every 5 days to keep it hygienic)
Pros - milk temp is good so we no longer need to microwave our drinks
If you like a flat white, don't get this machine. If you love your capuccino, this machine is for you
Unable to make adjust milk – I recently purchased this machine with expectation of being able to adjust the settings for all styles of coffee. The coffee itself is great, however the milk isn't smoothly steamed or dispersed into the coffee. The flat white setting is basically a long black with an overly foamy frothy layer on top. Very disappointed as all the reviews on this… Read more
machine were so highly rated and it seems the previous model was able to steam milk appropriately for this style of coffee. This was purchased as a click and collect and my decision to purchase this particular machine was made by reading reviews and product information. There was no information about this function being superseded and with the option of a flat white in the coffee selections, I find the product to be extremely misleading and incorrectly advertised. In short, the flat white is not a flat white (nor is the latte). They are both long blacks with a thick layer of milk foam.
Be aware if you need to have the machine fixed or maintained then you need to get it to Melbourne – A fact that is not so apparent is repairs and routine maintenance (bean grinder, etc) is performed out of Melbourne, or in the case in Sydney the option is out of Newcastle. While the machine is fantastic to make a coffee, actually hard to go past in making a coffee the routine maintenance supply chain is just not in place leading to high cost to transport and the risk of damage to the unit from couriers . repair under warranty. Funally Jura got back after quite some time and declined the repair due to cockroaches. When i saw photos i was gob smacked and disgusted after talking to jura and repairer they said coffee machines are known for this they are breeding zone for cockroaches. So my warranty was voided. I can not verify if it really is because of cockroaches or if the machine is truly faulty. I would never buy another machine and dont see the value in something so expensive having issues a few years later. And fyi you cannot stop the cockroaches getting inside. So take this advise before purchasing one if u can afford to spend 900 every couple of years to clean and repair then it is for u. I will never buy one again. Bought the one on tvsn for $600 justas good dont have to do milk clean each use.
Had a Jura before – So we had a Jura machine two machines ago. Just bought the E8 yesterday and had to laugh, makes great coffee but I'd forgotten about the luke warm milk... make the coffee and into the microwave for 20 seconds to get the temp right! Swiss that not everyone on the planet has short blacks... Flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos do exist! Using a microwave to finish off a coffee from a $2500 machine is a little underwhelming!
Fantastic machine – The E8 is easy to use with all the controls very intuitive. You can set the strength of the coffee, amount of milk to your taste and easily adjust it for others. Cleaning and maintenance is a dream as the machine steps you through everything. I simply enjoy using it and the love the coffee I make. Show details · 1
Morning Coffee ...Love it!!! – Super easy to use and makes the most delicious brew. Masterclass is well worth the watch, can get any questions you have answered by a REAL live person, and company very easy to get a hold of, and most helpful. Roger Federer and Jura..what a combo!! Show details · 1

Great machine – Very easy to use and clean. I think it does take time to experiment with all the different coffee types but easy instructions. We received some sample coffee too and prefer the original Jura blend. The temperature is not as hot as we would like but that may be to do with the milk temperature. The milk frother is too much but not sure how to change this. Show details · 1
Same problem with milk drinks as others – I chose the E8 because of the apparent new quiet grinder and because I thought I could change the milk frother to the pro adjustable one. Seems not. I'm left with half a cup of wasted milk froth every drink and a clunking grinder. Drip tray and grounds sensor seems out of wack too, telling me to empty grounds with the drip tray is over flowing and… Read more
visa versa. Messy! Because I have to manually spoon out half a cup of wasted milk, to remake another drink, I cannot use the app so buying the chip was a waste of money there too.
I thought I was buying a product I'd love for up to 10 years, but instead I'm frustrated with every drink I make and I've not never had it for 3 months

The old model E8 was better then the 2021 model – We recently upgraded to the new Jura E8 2021 model and we were highly disappointed that the new model does not let you switch between foamed milk and flat white milk like the old model did as we drink lattes. The machines milk dispenser only produces foamed milk and can not make proper milk drinks unless you want your coffee in a cup full of… Read more
foamed milk. We now have to also heat seperate milk in the microwave which is highly inconvenient when we have paid so much for the machine. When we complained to Jura they said the feature of switching between flat white milk and foamed milk now only exists on there more expensive model which was over $600 more then the E8.

Too much Froth very little coffee adjustment – Just purchased the Jura E8, I was a coffee machine technician and barista (had to be to test machines after service or repair) about 20 years ago, Jura were quite new to the Australian market so their machines were clunky and hard to use. This unfortunately hasnt changed :(, alot noiser than I would like, hard to program to get a good coffee, the… Read more
grinder is good, but the milk delivery system is quite useless unless you like froth, but most coffee, with the exception of Cappaccino, doesnt have a lot of froth, it has warmed milk with volume added, a big difference to FROTH? I read some reviews about the machine and thought it would be ok, but I have been caught out again? my wife just found an E8 review with an adjustment on the milk system????? now a good manufacturer would put that attachment in the box with the machine???? but no, you have to purchase that separately, very not happy. anyway, having just spent $2k tempted to take the thing back and get my money back So for anyone out there looking for a good machine with all the attachments included i’d be looking elsewhere :(

Beware of warranty claims – Purchased this unit 11 months ago, about 3 months ago it started playing up and got used a lot less. Finally sent it away to Jura and said it’s not covered by warranty and it will be $700 to repair! Jura claimed it was dirty inside, areas in which you literally have to disassemble the machine to get too, due to it not being sealed by design. Last… Read more

dissapointed – Although the Jura E8 makes good coffee its the rediculous regularity that it requires a cleaning cycle that is dissapointing. Dont get me wrong, a clean machine equals good coffee, but to have to put it through the additive involved deep clean every two days is just not good enough, otherwise it just splatters froth and steam everywhere. machine has the auto rinse at end of each use turned on, and it does that. We wash the milk jar and tube regularly. I have a very busy work life and I dont have 10-15 mins every second day to do this just to have a cofffee for my drive to work. Add in that it took just over 3 months for Jura/Harvey Norman to restock the water filters and its overall very dissapointing. My other brand I upgraded from after 9 years was way much less maintenance. Would return for full refund if I could.
