1 kate a.  · Road side assistance is not available 24/7days. I called them to get puncture repair. And the auto machine hangs up on you to call back during work hours !
5 Lesley  · James at Castle Hill was so helpful checking my tires. I’m going back tomorrow to get the screw removed!!
1 Atto  · Absolutely terrible. They charge$99 per spark plug plus $100 labor. I understand a mark up but that’s ridiculous. Scammers.

I think they are ok for very basic repairs such as replacing brake pads or doing a oil change. But I lost some faith in them when I had my wheel alignment done. First time, the steering wheel was definitely turned to the right when driving straight. As soon as I straightened the wheel the car would drive off to the left. Went back in and tried to… Read more

get it corrected but still not right. The car has some vibration in the steering wheel at higher speed which definitely wasn't there before either of the alignments were done. I'm wondering if I should just put up with it till the tyres need replacing, but its so annoying that I will probably just go elsewhere and repay to have the same job done yet again.

I took my Mazda BT50 in Saturday at Cannon Hill for its 120k service jobs done and paid for, then the tech comes in and mentions he has broken one of my wheel centre caps and placed it inside the car, there was no word to say sorry I broke your centre cap nor was there any type of discount on the cost of the service @$660.00 these centre caps are $60.00 each to get a replacement. Not good for customer service, I won’t be back again. Show details

I took my car in for a wheel alignment and after it was completed I drove home only to discover that the steering wheel now had an 8 degree rotation to the right when driving on a flat and straight road. I went back on several days later (earliest time I could go) and they said they would rectify the issue. I waited until it was completed and then… Read more

drove home again. This time I discovered that the steering wheel was now rotated 3 degrees to the left on a flat and straight road. I have not gone back as I feel the quality of the service I have received is very below par, so I will no longer be using this Mycar (Baldivis) again. I have owned my car for 15 years and had alignment services done by various other tyre services and have never had an issue with steering wheel alignment. Either the equipment at the Baldivis establishment is faulty or the staff are inadequately trained.

I would like to commend Luke from MyCar Tyres & Auto, West Lakes, for the outstanding customer service I recently received. and practical advice, and ensured that everything was handled efficiently and to a very high standard. The best part of the experience was that the issue was resolved without me having to pay anything, which speaks volumes about his integrity and commitment to genuine customer care.

It is rare to come across such exceptional service and transparency. Luke has certainly earned my trust, and I will not hesitate to recommend him and MyCar Tyres & Auto, West Lakes, to others. Outstanding service all round.

I've been going to them for routine service. Got the comprehensive kind as well. Recently the car developed a fault. MyCar was unable to offer a fix. Independent mechanic said in many cases its because of the wrong engine oil (my model has variable timing and uses presurrised engine oil to fire valves) I checked the owners manual and compared… Read more

what engine oil MyCar has been adding and they got the spec completely wrong.

They blamed the tool they use. Any mechanic worth their salt should get this right - or take ownership when they get such a basic thing wrong. They did neither.

In need of purchasing some tyres. I'm a person who does a lot of research before purchasing and turns out mycar had a good price for the ones I'm wanting to purchase. I tried to purchase online and book in when I struck a problem. I can only book in and purchase tyres if I agree to my personal information being harvested. Oh they do allow an Opt… Read more

Out, but I have to call the number specified or tell the tyre outlet when collecting vehicle. My largest concern is, they have already received permission by me to collect and share my information until days after when someone removes it. All too late. I also read through the privacy policy which dictates the information collected and how it is used and it's pretty excessive for something I'm not able to disagree with.

Now I see these policies all the time, but the shock I have that its a mandatory field I HAVE to agree with to is what disgusts me. Researching mycar shows a previous ACMA breach for anti spam and marketing already. Fine paid and no lesson learned. I won't be proceeding with this purchase, no ways I'm agreeing to this.

My consumer rights have been repeatedly violated: substandard work, lack of transparency, failure to meet expected timelines, and now refusal to take responsibility they are incompetent don’t complete the job they are paid for then when the aftermarket timing belt they installed snaps they try pushing blame onto a industry expert that (they hired)… Read more

impossible customer service and dispute resolution and in fact almost non existent customer service just lame excuses when demanding basic rights. - 1. Lifetime Guarantee on Workmanship – Breached

Mycar offers a lifetime guarantee on all workmanship. •My vehicle was returned multiple times with ongoing faults. •Suffered a timing belt failure after just 14,000kms. •Was fitted with an aftermarket belt, despite you being told it was OEM. •Has now sustained major engine damage directly related to the work Knox City performed.

This is a clear failure in workmanship and they are legally obligated to repair or rectify it, not push blame to a third party especially one they selected and paid.

2. 24-Month / 24,000km Parts Guarantee – Breached

The contract I signed promises a guarantee on parts for 24 months or 24,000kms (whichever comes first).

•Explicitly assured all parts including the belt were OEM — which appears to be false or misleading. •Given a belt that snapped at 14,000kms — which is well within the covered period. •Refused a valid claim, despite meeting the stated conditions.

This again is a clear breach of own workmanship warranty and the ACL.

3. Australian Consumer Law – Breached

Under the ACL, I am entitled to: •A repair, replacement, or refund if a product or service fails to meet acceptable quality or performance. •Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage (e.g. engine repairs, loss of income, loss of transport and mental anguish/emotional distress).

Misleading conduct: •Misrepresent the product (e.g., calling an aftermarket belt “OEM”). •Deny my warranty just because the car was inspected by someone else, especially when Mycar Knox city towed it there themselves.

The staff said when I collected the vehicle “ we hope to not see you again after we sent the vehicle to the most reputable and well known VW specialist not only in the local area but known state wide for his extensive expertise”

gave My Toyota Camry 485 TAC for a regular service. Upon collection of My Car after the said Service, I was told by the Male at the Counter that My Car had severe Oil leakage, Brake pads would need replacement. etc. & these needed urgent attention. He promised to Email Me the Quote for the Repairs on Monday which never happened to date, though MyCar has My Email details with them according to the Counter Male when I verified this from him. According to him, these further repair tasks would require more than one call to rectify them. Also to My dismay, I had to incur Car Parking charges of $ 15 at the boom gate even though I was told I would not require any Parking ticket nor pay any parking fee to get Out, by the Counter person. I did not want to check back with MyCar due to the long que of cars behind My Car at the boom gate.

On Sunday Dec 14, '25, I received a SMS that My Car needed Wheel Alignment. I was never informed about this when I collected My Car after service the previous day. I ignored the SMS and waited for the promised Email which never arrived at all. Anyway to cut a long bad experience short, I took My Car to My regular RACQ authorised Service provider, Advanced Mechanical Service at Moorooka & had the Car serviced once again by them. To My utter surprise I received the Car without reports of any mechanical problems whatsoever. I had taken My Toyota to MyCar Mount Gravatt as Advanced Mech do not work on week-ends. By the way, to date My Car has been running smoothly as ever !!!

Bad Experienced Client !!!

Follow-up  · No, MyCar Services did not show Me the Leak. The Car was returned to Me telling Me I would receive a Quote for the works to be done, nothing has come to date. I received a SMS stating that My Car needed Wheel Alignment. No mention was made whatsoever about the Leak, Break Pads future work at all.

advised that he would order replacement ducting. I rang the workshop a week later and was told the items were on back order and was assured they would ring me once the parts had arrived. As I hadn’t heard from them by early October, I complained to My Car Customer Care. An obviously computer generated “we’re sorry to learn, blah blah,” and a promise that the complaint has been “escalated for further investigation”. That was on the 8th October - a month later and I’ve heard nothing! Perhaps I misread their email address; I’m now wondering whether it was: nocareteam@mycar.com.au? My advice - pay a few dollars more and have a real mechanic service your car.

Follow-up  · An update. Having given MyCar three weeks notice without a response, I will be having the car repaired by the service department of Great Lakes Nissan and then commence proceeding to recover the costs through the Small Claims Court. More updates as they unfold.

I had a very frustrating experience with MyCar Helensvale. I clearly explained that my car’s air-conditioning had been regassed two months earlier and had already stopped cooling. diagnosing the issue, I was charged for another regas, had to return multiple times, and was eventually told there is a leak but they cannot fix it and that I should take the car elsewhere. I was even referred to someone who also said he could not repair BMW.

After paying and going back and forth, nothing was resolved. The main issue was not listening, poor explanation, and doing something different from what was promised.

I would not recommend this location for anything beyond very basic services like oil changes or brakes. If your issue requires proper diagnosis or clear communication, be careful — it’s extremely frustrating to follow up when things go wrong.

Took my car to mycar South Melbourne to have a simple nail removed from my rear tyre. When I picked the car up, I noticed the rim on that same wheel had been badly scratched and dented. with the staff member on duty. He inspected the wheel and even pointed out glue/residue on part of the rim from the work they did, with the damage sitting right next to it — clearly not a coincidence. Despite this, they refused to take responsibility. The only “resolution” offered was a free puncture repair, which doesn’t come close to covering the much higher cost of repairing a damaged rim. I also have photos from before and after clearly showing the damage. Accidents happen, but how a business handles them matters. In this case, there was no accountability and no fair resolution. I won’t be returning and would be very cautious recommending this location if you care about your wheels.

Mycar Kangaroo flat, my daughter took her car in with a flat battery. She was told the alternator was low. I used to give them 4 stars but now I will give them zero if I could - they have caused the service light issue themselves when they fixed the brake light switch for me a month ago but now they are trying to walk away. They have fixed the brake light switch for me in Oct and accidently made the service light on. They promised that they would fix… Read more

the service light when I come back to do the yearly service in Nov/Dec. I agreed at that time as I didn't have to go twice and they also confirmed nothing wrong just a service light on and this can be fixed together with the service done in Nov/Dec.

This week we have paid over a thousand dollars for service and brake pads replacement however we found the service light is still on. We called them and they agreed they should fix service light on issue, we went back to the store however they suddenly changed by saying that there is a cam solenoid issue caused the service light on problem and we need to pay another $500ish to fix it. We have explained the history of this service light on issue, but from this point, the staff [Name Removed] becoming very rude and unacceptable. We have then explained to another staff [Name Removed]. [Name Removed] has had a check on my car and advised that this won't be the cam solenoid issue, it is a wrong model of break switch they have installed back in Oct and made the service light on. [Name Removed] have then ordered the parts and we went back to the store the third time within a week to have a right part model installed.

Guess what, they have tried the new parts today but service light is still on and they are trying to walk away by advising us that YOU GO TO HOLDEN DEAL YOURSELF TO FIX IT.

They have also made other mistakes on my car e.g. fog light relay.

I've been quite happy with my local MyCar garage, however on my last service I paid extra for MyCar roadside assistance, and dropped my NRMA roadside cover. Biggest mistake ever. starting the car with a colleagues noco jump starter but no luck. I called roadside, and apparently the battery was completely failed, so was replaced on the spot for $250. The car started twice after that, once to get get home, once the next morning to get back to work.

Friday afternoon, same thing happened again. Tested the battery and it was fine. Called roadside who attended after an hour or so, they tested the battery, confirming it was fine, so starter motor was suspected and I was informed car would have to be towed. Calling back for the tow, I was told I couldn't have it towed home because it was too far (16km) and my usual MyCar garage wasn't taking tow jobs. My options were to have it towed to a holding yard where it could be delivered the following week to a MyCar garage, or to have it towed to the nearest closed MyCar garage, to be left in their carpark overnight and I'd go in the morning on Saturday to give them the keys. I took the later option thinking that by getting the car in a earlier, I might have better chance of getting it back earlier. In retrospect, they never should have offered towing to this location, especially afterhours.

Tow truck arrived and I helped load the car on the truck, then travelled with the tow driver to Bankstown MyCar. The tow truck driver attempted to get into the MyCar carpark, but it's within a shopping center carpark and was chained shut. There was nowhere safe to unload the car, so I had to help control traffic to allow the truck to reverse approx. 100m back through the shopping center car park, before making some questionable maneuvers the wrong way up a one way street and over median strips to get back onto the street. The driver advised he'd have to unload the car nearby and it would need to be picked up again tomorrow. I continued with the driver about 1km up a residential street until we found a safe spot to unload the car.

After numerous calls with the MyCar roadside staff, they agreed to have the car towed again on Saturday and taken to their holding yard to be delivered to MyCar Bankstown on Monday. I travelled back to Bankstown on Saturday night to wait over an hour for the tow truck, to hand over the keys.

On Monday I received a call from the tow company, asking for directions to where the car is being dropped off, because they couldn't get access through the carpark. I provided the contact details of MyCar Bankstown. Later when I called MyCar Bankstown to check if the car had arrived, they informed me one of their mechanics had gone out searching for the tow truck because it was lost.

They eventually got the car there, and quoted on the replacement starter motor - 2 hours labor plus part for just under $900. I questioned the price given a replacement starter for my car retails for $150-$250. They called me back later in the day with a revised "best offer" quote of $700 - if I didn't accept I'd have to pay to have the car towed elsewhere at my own expense.

In summary, - My original battery may well have been ok, and it was just a temperamental starter motor on the first occasion. - They will only tow to your home, or a MyCar location, but if home is more than 15KM then they will only tow to a MyCar location. No option to tow to another mechanic. - They should never offer towing to a location that cannot safely accommodate a tow truck, especially afterhours. - It took numerous calls and planning to arrange to have the car re-towed on the Saturday. - And ultimately, after having the car towed to a MyCar garage, my options were to either accept their inflated quote or pay even more to have it towed again.

To their credit, the service provided by the actual mechanics was fine - they were polite and the work was completed to a good standard with a fair turnaround time. But I regret taking the roadside cover with MyCar and would not recommend it for anyone.
