purchase. Were always great in the past so figured stick with what I know. Gave them a call to gauge my choices. Spoke with Wing for a good 30min before finally settling on a pair of Philips Fidelio X2's. A choice way out of left field that I hadn't even considered, and OH BOY am I glad I did. Paired these up with the Oppo HA-2 SE as my setup required as minimal footprint as I can get away with. I was absolutely blown away with the quality of the cans alone, but paired with the Oppo... indescribable. I haven't smiled while listing to music in a long time.
Wing really knows his stuff and really cares about your purchase. He could have easily tried to upsell me something outside of my budget or close too, but recommended a fantastic option that will be hard to top if I ever decide to splurge again in the future. Fast delivery and safely packaged upon arrival.
Not much else to say other than if you need audio equipment, buy here. Cant recommend enough.
Service is a bit shonky – My second purchase through Minidisc and the service has been outstanding on both occasions. Delivery was prompt and only took a day or so for it to arrive. contacted the dealer 28/3/17 who instructed me to return it to them for their techs to look at and sent me a approval for warranty claim. I sent it to them 29/3/17.
On the 5/4/17 I phoned them and was told they can't fix it and were going to send me a replacement unit "in the next couple of days" On the 10/4/17 I phoned chasing the replacement and was told that the department responsible hadn't responded to his emails and he would chase it up.
I asked it to be prioritized as I wanted to take it away at the Easter break. He rang me later that day and said it will go in the mail tomorrow and I would have it in the next couple of days.
I go an email from AU Post on 12/4/17 advising it was ready to be sent. I knew I wouldn't be getting it till after Easter. I received the replacement unit 19/04/17
On opening it was obvious it was a second hand unit. It had light scratches on the back and the firmware version was the original shipped with the first units for sale two years ago. I phoned them and was told that the x3 11 was discontinued so they sent me a shop demo as he couldn't locate a new one. At no time was I made aware of this or given any other options. I consider this to be deceptive by the seller.
I should have amended this review when the X3 ii bricked itself 5 months after purchase. The wheel at front no longer functions correctly and the battery seems to be having issues. I can only wonder how much of a beating the unit took as a shop demo (or someones personal unit as he said he had to look hard to find it) and no longer warrantied.
In the name of full disclose after they offered me a shop credit or $60 off a replacement purchase of the next model up (x5) It is my experience that electronics retailers when they cannot fix or replace the item the next best unit is supplied at no extra charge.

pick-up by Startrack. Emailed their customer service and got a quick response, saying that the problem is with Startrack and they have informed Startrack agents. The parcel got finally picked-up on the 3rd day, but was travelling to Perth via 'road'! It took 4 days to reach Perth, now the number of days from the day I ordered to the day I received it was 7 days! But in their website they said it will take only 1-2 days for express shipping.
I emailed them about this false information and the delay in service, they apologised straight away and refunded my delivery charges! The headphone was in good condition and packed well when I received it. Go buy from this store if you expect a great customer and you don't care about waiting a bit longer.

Terrible Customer Service – Minidisc has been absolutely disgraceful and has caused me humiliation as they have refused to replace my under warranty chord mojo unit claiming that according to their supplier's "judgement" it is an out of warranty repair or replacement an that they haven't seen this issue before. under warranty. DONT buy anything from minidisc guys because your next warranty claim could be knocked back because of their "judgment" and "experience" of seeing those issues.
Ran out of stock and didn't inform me until I contacted them – Ordered headphones 2 Sundays ago. Waited for one whole week but there was no reply or any indication that they were going to deliver, so I emailed them. Turns out they ran out of stock and only could deliver at a much later date and they didn't even inform me. Now i have to wait another week just to get another pair of headphones from them.
Followup with them! – I recently bough a cowon mp3 player and the service was indeed great - received it with no problems, so why am I giving such a mad mark on the review? saying sorry, they refunded me the $5 postage. Nice of them to do that, but big deal...they should have refunded me the whole lot! Reading other reviews it seems that forgetting to post things are pretty commonplace with this lot. So please do follow up with them on a daily basis!!!

Great Store and great service – There aren't many places in Sydney where you can sample so many different headphones in one place, on your own set up. I went there to buy a particular set of Oppo headphones, and after speaking with the owner, and an hour of sampling different sets, walked away with something completely different and I'm very glad I did. I almost bought the original pair online without sampling and thanks to MiniDisc, I ended up much happier with my purchase.
Price matched and shipped same day. What else can you ask for? – Still great after all these years. Website is great. Stock levels are accurate!
