the customer service was nonexistent needed to chase multiple times. once i got the dealer to respond i had to send all the car details for him to evaluate. he then came back 2k under the instant offer and he hadn't made the effort to do an inspection as advertised.

Bunch of idiots waist my time online price is ok then when you actually get the car valued a my 24 Mazda. They offered 20,000 dollars less. The ACCC will be notified about this type of practice. Should be ashamed of yourselves.

other states and rang me back and said that he can buy a similar car for cheaper price with lot less kms in another state which made no sense as prices of vehicles change from one state to another. He was rude and abusive and condescending in his tone and almost like commanding. We have never had this sort of aggressive behavior from any car dealer or any sales person for that matter. Our car is an expensive 4x4 which we got offered from many other dealers in timely manner with great level of respect and great customer service - and we will never bother looking through sellmycar.com.au again - we will look else where and we will not recommend to anyone either

fine, he was really genuine, didn't waste air on any patronising sales tactics (the competing dealer did and was contradictory of many things said in a separate inspection). We stood to make money regardless of the final amount, but the reason we chose sellmycar was really because of the manner of the inspector. We did not want to be greedy and wanted to see our vehicle (in great condition) go smoothly. Mark arranged everything from inspection to quote to towing company collection and ensuring I received a copy of the remittance when payment was processed.

We were not emotionally attached to the car, we'd done our homework on the dealer market (not retail pricing which is always inflated), we were open minded and in the end sold to sellmycar 1K less than the competing dealer purely because of Marks manner. At the end of the day we'd never get 'on the lot' or 'private sale' price, but I'd rather these guys make a profit than the other guy.

These days people are guarded and sometimes greedy (this goes both ways) but if you've looked after your car with service history and are realistic in considering the fact that these guys need to make a profit too - then you'll have a successful experience here too. At the end of the day our new car was due to arrive so we weren't too fussed. Thanks SELLMYCAR!

efforts we did not quite have the correct paperwork at first but they were very patient as we arranged to obtain it and come back an hour later. Since our expectations for price were reasonable and well-researched, we were happy with the price we received. We did not actually receive any up-front valuation but that did not deter us since apart from such valuations being far too prone to variances once the car is sighted, there are numerous sources these days to obtain a ballpark figure, especially if (as in our case), the car was immaculate with a full service history and never having been previously repaired or damaged.

I think this service is definitely not only a viable alternative to selling to a dealer or trading in, but a viable alternative to selling privately given the inevitable hassles and time wasted with tyre kickers, etc. Better to leave selling used cars to dealers whose profession it is to sell them!!

I dealt with Sopea who was a pleasure to deal. Communication during the process was timely & professional. All in all - I was pleasantly surprised how easy the whole process was.

Smooth Transaction – Mark easily communicated when he would be able to come and look at the car. Advertising misleading – Advertising is misleading, clearer transparency of their business model as a "wholesale" buyer should be made. nothing against this model but wasted an hour of my time. if your happy with $5000 under value then its quick easy cash. not what was advertised.

Don’t use them – Avoid contact with people they’re advertising. Give them 40% of your money for nothing. People should wake up and stop supporting these scumbags and their business. Sell your car privately and get what you deserve instead of giving it away. Wake up!!!

Barked at - WTH? – I lodged an online enquiry specifying my preferred date and time that looked like I was making a booking for someone to come out and look at my car. 'make/model/year' - How much do you want? How low are you willing to go? - I was tempted to ask if this manner of speaking to people usually works, or gets him hung up on - I was about to do the latter.

He said he'd call me back if he thought there was any possibility of buying my car. I won't be too disappointed if I never hear from that guy again.

Trash to $$$ – I sold my very old with slight damage Mazda Tribute for more than I thought as I was going to take to wreckers. Just a very simple seamless experience.

The price you get for your car will obviously be lower than what you could get if you sold it privately, but it's a very good option for people who need to sell a car quickly without any fuss. They don't require a RWC, which also reduces your costs of selling the car. They also take care of all the VicRoads documents to transfer the title. Payment was in my account the next day.
