Bought a backpack for my daughter to start school at the end of January and by March the bag had multiple holes in the bottom. She's only in prep so only takes a lunch box and water bottle, nothing heavy enough to cause these holes. Just really bad quality bags, won't buy again. Show details
I’ve owned two Smiggle bottles over the past year, and they are simply not worth the premium price tag. For the high cost, you’d expect durability and quality, but the performance and customer service have been incredibly disappointing. The main issues make them nearly impossible for daily use: • Constant Leaking: If these bottles aren't kept… Read more
perfectly upright, they leak everywhere. Whether they tip over or are tucked into a bag, you can expect a mess. For a brand marketed for school use, this is a massive design flaw. • Hygiene & Safety Concerns: These are a nightmare to clean. The design traps dirt and grime in hard-to-reach spots, making it almost impossible to keep them sanitary. This turns a simple water bottle into a legitimate food safety hazard. • Insulting Customer Service: When I went back to the shop to address these issues, the first thing they asked was if I had dropped the bottle. Instead of addressing a clear quality issue, they immediately tried to shift the blame onto me. That response was even more upsetting than the faulty product itself. The Verdict: You are paying a lot of money for bright colors and a brand name, but the actual functionality and support are far below much cheaper alternatives. Save your money and buy a bottle that is actually leak-proof and easy to sterilize.
Parent warning – please read before buying these water bottles We received three of these water bottles as gifts for our kids, and unfortunately we have discovered a serious issue we feel other parents need to know about. Our young children have been drinking out of these water bottles!! We are disgusted and horrified. The spouts only open… Read more
halfway, leaving part of the inside sealed and not watertight. This means water can seep into an enclosed section that can’t be properly cleaned or air dried. Because the plastic on these bottles is clear, you can actually see mould growing inside that hidden area
I suspect this could easily go unnoticed in similar bottles where the spout covering is darker (of which we have two).
We have always followed the care instructions—washing with warm, soapy water and allowing them to air dry—but this is clearly a design flaw, not a cleaning issue.
In our view, these bottles are not fit for purpose and pose a huge safety risk for children!
Smiggle has been dismissive and continues to fob us off, which is incredibly frustrating given the health risk. They refuse to offer a credit note or replace the bottles with another type than can be cleaned.
Please be cautious if you are considering buying these, and check your kids’ bottles closely if you already have them.

Water bottle lids broken within 2 weeks of purchase. Expensive for the poor quality.
I can’t believe how bad the quality of their water bottles are. Everytime my kids want a new one I end up buying it even though I say never again. The bottles able expensive and they break easily with just one drop. I have so Many bottles form other brands even some cheap ones which I never have issues form them. Please stay away and stop buying these bottles Show details
Disappointed with Smiggle – Overpriced and Poor Quality I’ve given Smiggle a fair go, but the quality just doesn’t match the high price tag. Within weeks, my child’s drink bottle lid cracked, and the digital alarm clock we bought stopped working in under 6 months. Their backpacks reek of strong, chemical plastic smells, and overall feel cheap and… Read more
flimsy. It's clear a lot of effort goes into their marketing and colourful designs – but that’s where the quality stops. Style over substance, unfortunately. Would not recommend for the price you're paying.
Smiggle restored my faith in customer service. They attended to my issue promptly and politely and resolved it within days. Smiles all around. Thanks Smiggle!

Cares about customers – I bought a stainless steel drink bottle with the spray function for my 5 year old, I bought it online and kept it until she started school, on her first day she dropped the bottle and the lid smashed in pieces. I emailed the smiggles company, showed them my order number and photos and asked if I could pay for a replacement lid only. And immediately they replaced the whole bottle for free and she's happily using this drink bottle at school.
My kids don't go to school any more but still love smiggle – With so much eye catching products in all the colours of the rainbow, I'm pretty sure you could spend ages just looking at the variety of items. I'm middle aged but still love browsing in a smiggle store. A bit expensive but worth the prices. Show details
Smiggle Eastgardens – I just wanted to say how cool and wonderful Steve was with me at the Eastgardens store. His customer service manner, attitude was very professional and fun! Show details

Worst quality for a kids product! Same as other reviews. Care bears drink bottle used for 3 days in first week of school. Dropped out of hand to the floor and now the lid has broken Same as other reviews. This item is not recommended. Terrible quality especially for the high cost of this! So disappointed

Very expensive yet somehow incredibly poor quality. We've now bought multiple different products from Smiggle and they all break within the first few months (some of the drink bottles we bought broke within a week!!)

Total waste of money – I bought my son the sonic spritz water bottle and its complete rubbish. I spent 36 odd buck on it (was on special) and was still a waste of money. The mouthpiece doesn't work well and it leaks! Don't bother with their overpriced crap
Stitch spray drink bottle, do not recommend – Bought the stitch spray water bottle for my daughter for Christmas, can’t even drink out of the nozzle without needing pull it up with her teeth, the area around the nozzle has got black mold already due to not being able to get in there to clean it, so now it’s unusable as it’s a health hazard, I spent $45 on this! Money I don’t have! Just so my… Read more
daughter could have what I thought was a good quality drink bottle, but it was indeed not good quality
Terrible business model and customer service – Disappointed and upset. Will not support this company again. Ordered a nice school bag and bit the bullet to pay for postage. Decided to buy cheap keyring just for sake of it. Days later I receive email that my bag has been cancelled and I'm only getting the cheap item. I requested they please cancel my order all together or offer for me to chose… Read more
another bag, but they refused. I've now paid $10 postage for a cheap item I never really wanted and won't get any bag. It feels like a waste of money and their customer service consists of impersonal automated responses they cut and paste.
Last straw for Smiggle – It would be lovely if Smiggle read their reviews. My daughter is obviously drawn to the clever marketing and Disney characters. However the quality just doesn’t stack up. Time after time I’ve given in thinking maybe the lunchbox is better quality than the backpack, maybe the drink bottle is better quality than the lunchbox. But, it’s just very… Read more
inexpensively made well marketed products priced more to reflect licensing costs than quality. Our latest purchase was this drink bottle which absolutely does not function as a drink bottle. I see other reviews with the same issue. Just a poor design. My kid is gutted it doesn’t work without holding the nozzle either with your hand or your teeth, which is ridiculous. Just one issue after another, a lunch box that doesn’t close properly, a backpack with a dodgy zip. No more for me, Smiggle products are far overpriced but to be honest I’d pay more for products that are well made and last.
Not happy. Advent calendar – I purchased an advent calendar for my 8 yr old grand daughter. What a let down. I paid so much for it. To get 3 pens and some little bits of coloured paper. My grand daughter doesn't want to even open any more. She is devastated. Shame on you smiggles
Poor products and terrible customer service – Smiggle products expensive but cheaply made. Bag purchased less than 6 weeks ago and the arm strap ripped this morning. This is the second time we've had an issue with Smiggle and their products breaking after a couple of months use - the first was their water bottle cracking after 2 weeks. What's worse than the cheap products they make is the… Read more
absolutely abysmal customer service - they clearly don't care and just trot out a 'send it back yourself'. They act as if they're doing you a favour letting you take your own time to organise a return and offer nothing to compensate the time and effort being taken because their product broke. Smiggle products are rubbish, the company don't care about their customers, and don't waste your money on these.
Wish I could give zero stars – So we have the smiggle butterfly spray water bottle. I wish I had returned it straight away. It is impossible to clean making it absolutely vile. The spray works whenever it chooses too and you simply cannot drink out of it. Air bubbles make it uncomfortable and then the nozzle in which you drink from closes down as you're drinking. Meaning to… Read more
have to hold the nozzle up with your teeth while trying to get gulps of air and water into you. Whatever you do....do not buy this expensive piece of junk.
Low quality bottles – They have very good design and kids love that but for a parent the quality is very low. I purchased I watch that never work and the bottles are very bad quality. I went to the store they didn't want to do nothing. They said my daughter let the bottle to fall. I can't understand how they can offer profuct for kids that they don't allow to fall Show details

Not good – Very disappointed, exspecially for the price paid, long story short my 5 year olds school bag lasted a week, zipper completely broke on the bag done by myself not even my daughter !!!! Will never buy from them again
Another broken water bottle. No bags at checkout – For the price they charge, they could at least provide some paper bags instead of only offering bags that cost $3 to buy. I had to walk out of the store holding my items after spending $38 on a water bottle and a wallet. The stuff looks pretty but the quality is terrible. The reason I was buying a water bottle is because I had purchased one a… Read more
month earlier and the clip straw had already broken so was getting a replacement as my daughter was so devastated by it breaking so easily.
Have dealt with many broken water bottles from here but keep coming back because the kids all want the same stupid water bottle at school
Just wish they cared about their customers and not just making fat profits.
Poor quality, extortionate prices – My daughter had been eagerly asking for a specific spray bottle for ages, and we finally got it for her birthday. She was thrilled to have it, but after just three days, it slipped from her hand and dropped from no more than 70 cm in height. To our disappointment, the bottle separated at the seal. I might accept this if the bottle had cost a… Read more
couple of pounds, but at nearly £20, this is absolutely unacceptable! Despite this clear quality issue, Smiggle refuses to acknowledge it. I am extremely dissatisfied and will never shop there again. I strongly advise others to avoid their products as well!
Poor quality for high quality prices – We purchased the unicorn junior Smiggle drink bottle, such a waste of $29. The straw just does not stay in, meaning my child has went to school and been unable to use her drink bottle. I tried to return it and was told nothing was wrong with it and it was used so no can do. Absolutely useless, went in the bin! Show details

Smiggle cheaply made products at expensive prices – If you’re looking for QUALITY & DURABILITY definitely DO NOT SHOP AT SMIGGLE!!! ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY! smiggle & the kids all upset as they loved the mist spray included in the bottle. Then I purchased another 5 of their smiggle Plastic Drink Up Bottle 650MI at $24.95 thinking maybe they would be more durable but NO!!! the plastic carry handle on the bottles snapped of within first week. Seriously your designer & your marketing manager need a gold medal for making the company loads of money selling cheap quality useless products at quality prices! Word travels fast amongst parents & guardians with recommendations to each other I’ll be recommending save your money & children’s heartaches & don’t be fooled by its apparent innovation, vibrant colours & unique graphics on their drink bottles from smug smiggle!
Mist spray water bottle junk – Bought the water bottle 4 weeks ago for a 6 and a half year old daughter who is pretty careful. She loved it. Dropped ONE time 3 weeks later and there was a small crack in the lid. You had to be so careful to twist open so as not to continue to make it worse. It last 5 more days. Now, if you're wondering, No, you can't even buy a replacement lid!… Read more
So the practically brand new bottle is useless!! The lid is made out of the cheapest, thinnest plastic. The irony is this is the worst option for kids, and yet we know that Smiggle is solely marketed for kids. They must be owned by some soulless corporation to allow this kind of junk onto shelves for well-meaning parents to be trapped by. Never again. Get a simple squeezy sports bottle.
Bad made products - expensive rubbish – I bought a water bottle made for 1 year olds and my son accidentally dropped it (as little kids do and it smashed into pieces) I am so disappointed for the price they charge they should be much better quality Show details
Lunch bag cracking after one use! – One week lunch bag is cracking. The Barbie one. The silver part cracked off first day she used it at kinder. She goes 3 x a week. $35 on sale. Absolutely revolting quality. What a rort. I’m never shopping there again. Show details
