The second machine would not pump water at all. Again, Domayne replaced it, and advised that the warranty period would start again with taking possession of the third machine. I questioned and confirmed this, as I'd never had this experience (always counted from date of original purchase).

I used the third machine for almost a year with great success, though a few capsules failed to be pierced along the way. Recently the timer stopped working and both flow buttons would fill cups to the brim instead of providing a single shot and a large cup shot. My earlier Caffitaly machine allowed the cup size to be programmed by holding the button while brewing, so I asked the Sunbeam service department if there was something similar so I could reset my CM2000. Alas, no. They advised it was a fault. They also expressed great doubt that I had any warranty recourse as it was more than a year from original purchase though less than a year from taking possession of this third machine.

I am disappointed with the machine. I loved the concept of being able to use such a wide range of capsules, buying whichever brand was on special or had a gourmet flavour. I absolutely loved the machine when it was working. But it has let me down; One year of useful life is not enough.

"Update." I thought I would update this review as it has been well over two years since purchasing "The Sunbeam Multi Capsule machine," so far this Coffee machine has been going strong and making excellent coffee. I believe that if you maintain and clean the unit it will do the job, Coffee is still nice and hot and so far it has not let us down, apart from retightening the top operating lever. I have been told, this unit now has been updated.

Great idea maybe needs some work – I've had this machine since late last year (2015) & it's mostly good. & came on here to give them a bad review but after reading other reviews I'm wondering if it's the machine. Woollies was selling the pods at half price so it made me think it was them to get rid of a bad batch? Seems to work fine on other brands. I see on earlier reviews Sunbeam has said they have upgraded the changeable pod holder & will replace it for free so I will call them tomorrow. For other people that have had the lever at the top not stay down I found mine doing this & realized one of the screws on the side of the lever was coming out so I tightened it & now it's fine. Smaller issues-I find the coffee isn't hot enough & have to microwave it further but had the same issue with my previous Aldi machine, it would also be nice to be able to fit a taller cup under it & to be able to programme it to fill cups a certain amount like my old Aldi machine. All in all I'm pretty happy & hope it's just bad batch of pods that I've got at the moment. Update- I called Sunbeam's warranty department (very helpful & pleasant experience, thanks [name removed]) & she said they would give me the updated pod holder thingy if they had them but had run out. They gave me a return number & told me to take it back to the shop for a replacement machine that should have the new attachments.

It is Best machine ever for use in the home.it's been so reliable and produces great coffees depends on capsules chosen – Great coffee depends on personal choices. Works fine – Great invention for multiple capsule systems. Works fine for all capsules I’ve tried so far. Easy to change adaptors and comes in different colours. Great value for money. Would recommend. Show details

Piece of crap – Had some minor problems from the beginning however, after using it only about a dozen times in 18 months, the water pump has stopped working completely. Now cannot use the machine at all and we have a heap of pods that we can't use. There are a large number of negative reviews for this machine - believe them and don't waste your money!!  Show details

Absolute Dud – Well we went to an auction last night and mine was the winning bid for this machine. It doesn’t work. It doesn’t punch holes in any size pods. So no water passes through. Blocked machine? Broken heart – Once I bought this item I never had an issue, water ran through, caps popped, ‘twas good. After moving and not using it, I pulled it out to re-use and now what was amazing is not so much. I’m pretty upset only to have fallen in love with the machine I’m giving up hope. I love my coffee, and now I’m, honestly heart broken.

Ps, pipes need to be cleaned out at least every one or two days when in use (flush) even though my machine is blocked, my water doesn’t leak. I just need help to unblock it.

Hit and Miss! – We've now had 3 machines in 2 years. The first one seemed to work fine for about 19-20 months. Returned it under warranty 2 weeks ago and since then have got 2 brand new machines that have faulty pumps...... compared to my parent's Aldi system.... this is what you would call 'a lemon'

It didn't work, the combinations don't work on any other capsules and it made noise but no water so – I never got to use it. I would've liked to have used it but the pump didn't work. The various sizes don't fit generic capsules and when I finally got one to fit the machine didn't punch holes in it. I returned it the same day.  Show details

Worst machine ever – I was very disappointed with the machine, when you put a capsule in and pressed the button the lever would rise and the water went into the reject container. The water did not heat properly. And sometimes the capsules just squashed. Now I know why they are not making them any more. Great multi use coffee machine – This machine is very easy to use however pods do occasionally become jammed or don't pierce properly which results in a wasted pod. The interchangeable pod bracket is great allowing a variety of pods to be used. Much cheaper then buying a Nespresso machine! If the pod basket isn't emptied and washed frequently, it can become very difficult to clean.  Show details

A complete waste of bench space – Not only does this machine make a terrible racket (think grinding stones), it has made one cup of watery chocolate and that's it. It's nothing but noise. Nothing happens. It won't pierce the pods - any make or brand, water won't run through it, nothing. There's nothing in the troubleshooting area of the manual either. DUD, DUD, DUD! – I bought 3 of these machines to use at work because of it's multi capsule feature. All machines stopped working after 1 month in use. In fact, one machine never worked from the start, the other two the lever wouldn't stay down when making a coffee so water end up coming out instead of coffee. Love the variety – With the store discount, and Sunbeam redemption I paid $120. Enjoy all the variety of multi capsules. Sad that it started to 'leak' water. Each time a pod dropped from 30 to 50 mls of water drops into dispenser as well. Returned it to store for replacement. Capsules are nowhere to be found – Seems a bit ridiculous to me to boast that it takes four different brands of capsules when not one of them are readily available. The Nespresso website has a few, but what's the point of having a multi-capsule compatible machine if you're only using one brand? So unhappy, and I can't just take it back because it was a gift.

Stopped working – Started out ok. Mapped/cafeitaly pods kept getting stuck and felt like the handle was going to pull off when lifting after the stuck pod. Too far from home to contemplate return or exchange but will be more than gratified to toss it in the garbage - that will at least give me some satisfaction and the room for a "cheapie" CaffItaly machine that works.

Not happy – Re: ...now the top lever springs open violently before finishing. Mine worked for a few months then the above problem started. Managed to get it to work by holding down the lever for a while but now refuses to deliver coffee at all. Water runs straight into the used coffee pod tank. A rubbish machine. fine for a while then just stopping heating the water – The machine was fine for about 6 months (although a little,messy), I stopped using it for a couple of months and now it won't hear the water. Brilliant machine – This is an awesome machine . I have tried it on all four types of capsules and it performs beautifully . I have read the other reviews and I am thinking these people might have just got a dud machine as mine works perfectly . One of the four capsules works – I can't make the capsules that are meant to fit into the machine fit into the machine. What so far one brand fits. won't take up water again!!! My friend confessed it stopped working about a month ago but didn't want to tell me.!!! So disappointed! Have always bought and recommended Sunbeam brand.)!!! Broke after 30 pods. Terrible design. Great idea - AVOID AVOID AVOID – Tank leaked from the start, little 'O ring' in the tank was not set properly a QoS issue, but is a 2 second fix. Returning to store - what rubbish – Bought machine today. The water wouldn't run through properly on the first 10 pods then one worked. To make sure it wasn't a fluke I tried again now the top lever springs open violently before finishing. Not only is this machine dangerous it's rubbish! oh no not again!!!!! – Loved the idea yea multi capsule sunbeam. 1st one worked well for 7 months then capsule ejector got stuck. 2nd one water tank leaked from start. 3rd one water not coming thru. Wish we had read the reviews before buying this machine – We are on our second machine - the pump didn't prime in either machine and the pods (Nespresso) do not pierce. We have wasted a load of pods. The 1st machine water tank leaked out whilst trying to fill it. A great idea poorly executed. We are using our $49 Delonghi machine again.

Sounds good but it's not – Bought this machine because of its versatility. The instruction booklet says "can choose from Nespresso (and Nespresso compatible) ..". cup finishes with more water than at other times. There is no way to adjust the quantity of water it puts through. The capsule ejection mechanism occasionally jams. The multi-capsule function is a good idea but I wish now I hadn't bought it.
