Satisfaction with the PC Doctors service
Andres arrived when he said he would right on time. He readily understood the problems with my desktop and a similar one on my laptop. The latter one was more complex than we thought but he worked through it and restored my laptop back to how I wanted it. In addition, he recommended the installation of a cleaner app (free) to minimise the retention of useless/redundant data for which I am very grateful. I would welcome him back any time for any future problems that may arise. I rated my experience with The PC Doctor and Andres the highest available rating. I'm usually pretty good at eventually solving a PC issue at home, but on this particular occasion I'd hit a brick wall, had to admit defeat & needed external help. I'd used The PC Doctor once many years ago successfully, so decided to engage them again for this issue.First of all, the online query submission was very easy & the response to that from The PC Doctor was fast & informative (Mark). lve my problem & a time was then arranged, with the name of the person who would be looking after my query (James). The PC Doctor subsequently followed-up with a text message to confirm my recent call & appointment details. Followed by another message closer to the appointment time, asking me to ensure I had either Quick Assist or TeamViewer installed (with instructions on how to do so if unfamiliar with either of these) James called at the exact appointment time & for the next hour was able to systematically problem-solve the issue (plus another couple of other items I raised at the time). He was an absolute delight to chat with, was impressively knowledgeable & even when he hit a couple of roadblocks during the process, he simply found another way to solve them quickly with a few simple mouse clicks & dialogue box options.....James was seriously impressive in the speed & proficiency in which he smashed through the various tasks in order to get to the successful end-game result for my issues. I could not be happier with my recent experience with The PC Doctor in general & James in particular deserves special mention for both his phone demeanour/customer service & technical knowledge. Dwight facilitated a 'quick' same day service when I received a pop up alerting me to 'possible identity theft' via hacking of my IP address. The distressing part for me was the spoken threat on repeat coming through my hearing aids which had flow on impact and my inability to get rid of the pop-up from my browser. It was of course a scam. Like Dwight, Moudy ensured I understood follow up support if necessary. In this case it isn't required. Moudy is professional, courteous, responsive and warm, displaying the best of human services. The next day Dwight checked back if I had any problems - so I more than happy to provide a five gold star review for both Dwight and Moudy.Computer assistance

Computer equipment is old, and all equipment is used for reporting to committees of other organizations. The problems this time were small but needed someone who knew what they were doing and understood old equipment. The technician completed the work quickly and everything is working as it should be. Issues are fixed quickly and the technician has been able to explain what has gone wrong while helping us make better use of our computer and iPhone. Highly recommended. I do not want to mention any names here but I am sure you can check.
Recently I requested a technician to come to assess my computer problems. He replaced a part that was faulty. ($500+) then began to download data back on to my laptop. It was taking a while so he said he would go to his next client and then return when the download was complete. He was gone for 7 hours. Came back that night when I had called to see where he had got to. ( I thought he might have had an accident or something.) After he had left, I still had issues. He came back to fix them but did not discuss the issues with me. He then started walking towards my front door so I asked if he had to get something from his car. No, apparently he was finished and was leaving. No explanation. No goodbye.
I still had problems and I called him back again after a couple of days. This time he came at 7.30 pm on a Saturday. Same behaviour, no explanation, scant communication. I still had issues after that too and called for him to come back again some days later. I got a confirmation text that he had been notified but did not hear from him. After a few days I made contact again. Then I got a message that he would come at 5.30pm that night. Fifteen minutes before he was due, he rang to have a go at me for complaining that he didn't respond. (I hadn't) I suggested that we could talk about it when he arrived . He persisted until I simply refused to discuss it on the phone and rang off. I made sure I had someone with me when he arrived as I was starting to feel threatened. He appeared to fix my connection issue and then left but I am still having serious issues with connection with the server. I would not have spent that money if it was not going to fix my problems. I am reluctant to deal with this man again but am still facing problems. How disappointing!!!
