Do not waste your money. While this pram was easy to manoeuvre in the first few months, the quality quickly declined. The wheels became wobbly — like trying to steer a faulty shopping trolley. The leather started fading within eight months, and when I contacted Uppababy, they dismissed it as “wear and tear” despite minimal use. Shortly after, the… Read more

interior fabric began to fade too, looking worn and aged, even though my son is only 15 months old and spent his first six months in a bassinet. The pram looked a decade old before even hitting the year mark.

Customer service was shockingly poor — cold, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. I was basically told none of it was covered under warranty. Even the store I purchased from admitted Uppababy’s customer service is notoriously bad and said they no longer even bother contacting them. They agreed the pram should’ve been replaced.

I’ve now had to put a new pram on lay-by. Don’t make the same mistake — avoid Uppababy at all costs. Poor quality, worse customer service.

Beautiful pram… for the first week – Beautiful pram with well thought out features HOWEVER the frame scratches super easily (we’ve been using for 6 months and already looks extremely old) . We’ve been careful when moving in and out of the car but the black paint on frame is so chipped! The leather handlebar also looks really worn. Disappointed with how fast such an expensive pram has deteriorated. Show details

Broken wheel in the first year – Purchased the V2 in Australia and have been using it for the past year. It has great storage for shopping and baby items. I take good care of my products and items and have never broken anything before. However, recently I found one of the wheels had already cracked after only general strolling and light usage. warrantee as it should still be covered (my daughter is only 14 months old) and they said it was accidental damage and would not cover the cost of the wheel replacement. I am very disappointed in the customer service for this product and would advise people to purchase a different model pram. $1800 for a pram that has a broken wheel in the first year of use is disappointing.

The guaranty doesn't cover the pram's basket structure – I contacted Uppababy Australia because the basket structure has broken. They refused to replace the basket structure under the guaranty. They said that it's not a manufacturing problem so they don't have to pay. It didn't happen any big event to make the structure broken. So, the basket is not that strong as they advise be careful.  Show details

Awful quality and clear manufacturing defects that the company won't acknowledge – Uppababy Vista 2015 double pram My wife was using the pram today, she dismounted the pavement and the front wheel completed sheared off. I contacted the Australian distributor for Uppababy (coolkidz) and the person I dealt with (David Kingsford) completely dismissed it could be a manufacturing issue and insisted that "it must of been run over by… Read more

a car or something" (their exact words). He then said I'd have to pay $349 for a replacement frame and $25 further for delivery. Needless to say, however funny it may have seemed to David, the pram and my family weren't run over by a car.

To which I followed up:

"It did not have extreme force, my wife pushed the pram off the edge of the pavement and it snapped. The fact that you're insinuating I'm being untruthful is extremely disrespectful.

Your knowledge is clearly limited when it comes to metal fatigue and casting defects as you seem to think this is solely possible by extreme force. So how do you explain the fact that there are no immediate marks in the vicinity of the point where it broke then? Suggest to me what we could have used to snap this clean off and not leave any marks around the surrounding area? Perhaps we put the pram wheel in a vice and then put as much pressure through the handlebars of the frame to snap it off?"

The other 1 star reviews on this website identify there are clearly manufacturing issues associated with Uppababy prams. A cast aluminium part like this should only ever fail if there is sufficient metal fatigue introduced either by too many stress cycles (e.g. too much weight for a prolonged period of time), a defect with the way it has been cast or sub standard materials. I've got cast aluminium parts supporting the engine in my car yet this front wheel, which is probably taking less than 30% of the overall load of the pram (a 23 month old and a 6 month old) can't take the weight, something of which it is designed to do.

Furthermore, if you spend time searching the internet, you can find similar issues. Here's an example of a Uppababy pram where the weld has completely come off of the frame it was welded to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfSXyu5V5Mw. I suppose this was also caused by a car running it over. This is nothing short of poorly manufactured products which begs the question whether any Uppababy products are fit for purpose especially when being used to transport children around. We're extremely fortunate that neither my wife, or kids, were hurt and there was no traffic present at the time.

I'll be escalating this to the US head office to see if I can get a better response. Needless to say, their Australian distributor doesn't paint a good picture of the brand if they treat their customers like this. If it was a cheap pram then you would expect a degree of poor quality, however, we're talking about a $2500 pram here.

It's quite frankly unacceptable and I'll ensure that I make this known across as many media outlets as possible if they're not forthcoming with regards to rectifying this adequately.

Loved my pram until it broke! – I really loved my Uppababy Vista pram and often recommended it to friends as the best pram ever- has a large storage, folds easily and is great for two kids. This has recently changed. My son was riding in the Vista with his seat securely attached (on both sides) to the frame. As we were walking, one side of the connector snapped, and his seat… Read more

fell awkwardly to one side. Thankfully, he was not injured- had he been a smaller infant or not securely strapped in he would have tumbled sideways out of the seat. I contacted the Manufacturer and they have completely disputed that this could have happened and instead have been insisting that I am negligent. So far, I have been waiting on a response from “head office” in the US for 2 weeks as my story is “impossible.” Utterly disappointed and disrespected. Please be careful if you purchase this pram.

Love it! – We bought this pram when the second baby came along to use it as a double pram. Bought two seats (a main seat and a rumble seat) and a bassinet with lower and upper adapters for each seat. I was a little disappointed that the bassinet could only go on the lower section of the pram when you use it as a double pram. I felt the baby was too far… Read more

and I had to bend down to check my baby. So I recommend a capsule for a baby so the baby can sit on the upper seat. I also think the bassinet is on a smaller side but I used it with two of my babies and they were both able to be in it for 6 months.

Once the baby grew out of the bassinet and I could use the main seat at the top and the rumble seat for the bottom, it was a beautiful beautiful pram. I used upper adapters for the main seat so there is more space between two seats and more space for the luggage. Honestly this pram has the biggest luggage space amongst the prams I know and I am able to do shopping easily with this pram. I love the pram and I still use it for my third child as a single pram for shopping as the older two don’t need a pram anymore.

Having said that, I walk a lot and I wouldn’t say this pram is great for walking. Suspension isn’t that great and as the baby becomes heavier you may struggle to push while you’re brisk walking (definitely not for running). It’s not really all terrain or off road pram. It’s definitely more for shopping and for footpath. I would suggest get another all terrain or jogger pram for walking or running). But I love this pram and highly recommend for everyday use like shopping and going to indoor events as you can put so much stuff in the luggage compartment. It is on an expensive side but it has been worth it for us. I had another pram before this and I am definitely happier and go out more often for shopping because of this pram. It does take up a bit of space in your boot but we have a people mover so it has not been an issue.

Nice pram but some improvements could be made – I chose this pram as a second choice after my 1st pram didnt arrive in time for baby's birth. It is very smooth and easy to turn with one hand. Sun shade is handy on the bassinette. Very easy to assemble. I haven't used the seat yet so can't comment on that. Adjustable height handle bar is great for my 6'3 husband. Easy fold down to get in boot. … Read more

Things that are not practical or i don't like

● Using on a gravel road is a no-no. Baby bounced around to a ridiculous point..even with an infant insert (purchased separately) ● Capsule adaptors for the maxi cosi dont come with a backup safety strap like other brands ● Buttons to remove bassinette from pram frame could be better positioned. Currently you have to put the hood down take baby out then put the hood back up to remove the bassinette to put in the car.. silly design ● One of the rear wheels already sounds like its going to crack (currently dealing with customer service on this issue) - it was like this from date of purchase

A great pram but with some room for improvement – We’re happy with our decision to invest in the Vista and had been choosing between a few other higher end prams at the time including the Bugaboo range. Things we love about the pram: 1) the bassinet - it is a good size with plenty of vents for air circulation including underneath, it is safe for overnight sleeping, the bassinet sits at a good… Read more

height so you don’t have to bend over too far to pick up the baby and it doesn’t interfere with the basket underneath, it has a large sun canopy with good coverage, and best of all the bassinet can be removed with one hand, 2) the pram folds up super easily and can be stored upright in the car, 3) it steers brilliantly, good turning circle, 4) large storage basket which we thought was way more than needed but turns out all that storage is handy! 5) the option to use as a double pram if needed. The only downsides we have found so far: the sun canopy on the seat is not big enough - when the seat is reclined even a few notches our son often still gets the sun in his face, and the seat is fairly small compared to other prams - compact can be good but i expect my son to outgrow it sooner than he might in other prams.

Good quality pram but not perfect – Overall a good pram. It suits our family of newborn and a 2 year old, however, there is a few negatives. The toddler seat design the handle has a zip to remove the leather trim, it’s rather silly and frustrating as my toddler keeps playing with it, zipping and unzipping it, unsure how long it will last. The break petal sometimes won’t work, can… Read more

take me pressing it several times. Quite annoying. The parent organiser keeps sliding down and not really the most practical (redsbaby organiser is a million times better). Amazing Pram – This pram has been fantastic Sophia spent her first 6 months in the basinette & slept so well on my 12km daily walk. jackets and some shopping which is really useful. The adaptable height of the pushing part is so useful being 5 ft 7 it means I have good posture walking. I have walked 70 - 80 km every week since Sophia was born in this pram. The price we paid included the free travel pram I’ve not used yet as we aren’t travelling due to COVID29. The coffee cup holder is really useful as is the rain proof cover. The pram had to have adaptors for maxi cozi I but really worth it if you want to transfer baby from the car to the pram without waking them.

Do not buy! – Be aware, the customer service you receive in Australia is appalling. The chassis of the pram detached on both sides making it unusable… definitely welding issues! Good pram horrible company – The pram itself is good.. the company however is terrible. First they did not cover a warranty item within the warranty period, no worries I payed for the part anyways. I advised them that my precious canopy extension was terrible and actually didn’t retract properly or extend properly they advised that I should have called and had it replaced under warranty… this company is only out to exploit parents for money. I was happy to pay 3 or 4 or 5 hundred dollars for the new seat, not happy that I only just spent over $2000 2 years ago and now to have an appropriate canopy for my new born looks like another $2000 for a new pram… pretty ridiculous. Disgusting customer service – Exchanged over 40 emails seeking advice on how to pick up the pram without the clip breaking. It was insinuated that I was an irresponsible mother for not reading the instruction manual prior to putting my baby in the pram and therefore should read it to get the answer. When I couldn't find the instruction I was told to find a video online (none of them show how to pick up the pram) what a waste of time and absolute disgrace! Show details

Does not suit a larger toddler. Look at other options before purchasing this pram – I really enjoyed using the 2018 model of this pram until my son got close to two when I could no longer do the straps up (on the highest setting). quality materials, secure and comfy seat, wheel manoeuvrability is fantastic and good absorption over bumps. So easy to switch seats around. Good air ventilation and quality materials easy to clean.

Perfect pram for tall people with tall babies – I LOVE my Vista, it is very well made, so easy to manouvere and has such a great storage area. Oh - the baby - yes! room when walking behind it. The Vista does just that, plus comes with adaptors that seats the bassinet or rumble seat up higher so we don’t have to stoop when getting bub in and out. The bassinet worked as a great nap spot for when we travelled until bub was too long for it (around 4 months). He now naps in the rumble seat fully reclined no problem. The only thing I think Uppababy could improve is the UV shade that extends out from the hood as it is very flimsy and doesn’t stay in place. It is a reasonably heavy pram to lift (am used to it now) but does fit neatly in the boot of my Mazda 3 hatch. It’s great on hard and uneven (grass etc) surfaces that I have tried. A friend who bought the Cruz model wishes she’d bought the Vista for size. I love it!

who refuse to honour their warranty!! I’ve sent multiple videos of the issue but their support team keep telling me that it’s ‘normal’ and that’s how their product works. I think that is even worse than having a faulty product - believing that it’s SUPPOSED to be like that!! They think it’s perfectly fine that the brakes won’t release no matter how many times you press the lever and bump the pram around. The other day it was stuck for a good 5minutes with a sleeping baby in it outside in 41degree weather. No amount of pushing, pulling, lifting, whacking, nothing would release it! But apparently that’s how it’s supposed to be according to their warranty team. Save your money and buy a redsbaby. Half the price and is the same design pram. My friends haven’t had any issues with their redsbaby’s. However all my friends with uppababy vista have had the same issues as what we have. I don’t even want uppababy to replace the frame anymore, I’m so sick of dealing with them. I just want my money back. How disappointing.

Edited to add - I just scrolled down to read other peoples reviews and see that others have had the exact same issue with the same person on the warranty team refusing to honour warranties!!!! Some have had the same brake issue as us, some other issues - all manufacturing faults though. Stay away from this company! I will be taking this to the US head office as others have done.
