Great team, support & knowledge! – We found our experience with Stroud Homes to be nothing short of perfect.
From the onset, Stroud were very committed to creating a functional & gorgeous home for us and focused on transparency. With us being new to the build process, they explained everything in layman's terms to us so we knew what we were signing up for & had full confidence when handing over money & our vision. They supported our ideas yet gave us practical advice so we would end up with a home that is long-lasting, visually stunning, yet actually liveable.
They were honest with us when we were dreaming, and pushed our design vision when we played it safe. We gave them our budget & we worked closely together to include what we wanted in the home, but to also be mindful of costs. They are very transparent when it comes to pricing & the process, giving you a full itemised list of costs when designing the home and being very clear when it comes to expectations & timing etc. They also over-price where possible to avoid bill shock whilst you build, which we immensely appreciated... In our research phase, we found that some other builders initially could come off as 'cheaper' but with the possibility of additional hidden costs & prices creeping up throughout the build. We definitely felt like we were getting honesty, quality & a long-lasting house build.
They also worked very closely with us to create a custom house build because of the irregular shape of our block of land. The team spent countless hours with us - developing our dream home - without asking for upfront custom plan deposits etc. We never got the feeling that Stroud were ever pushing to close a sale or that we weren't a valued customer to them. No matter our request (and we had many!) and no matter the task, they were always very confident in their decisions, supportive & willing.
Overall, they are a very supportive & talented team that we would recommend to people in a heartbeat. We look forward to designing (+ building) a home with Stroud again in the future :)
