repairs took months, and there was a lot of back and forth, but we got there, and they did the right thing and replaced all the carpets required along with restoration of walls etc.

I have a large number of policies with AAMI, and it's good to know they are there when you need them.

A complete scam being with AAMI. I reside in Melbourne and own an investment property in Western Australia. Recently have problem with tenant not… Read more

able to pay bills and a week of rent so we were able to evict her. As a result professional cleaning came out of our pockets as landlord, and there were extra trash that requires a large bin. She also let per boyfriend stayed there so he did some damage to the property.

When I enquired the claims department wanting to put through some claims, I was told that they DON'T cover for ANYTHING. They strictly only cover for malicious damage, and loss of rent that exceeds 4 weeks. NOTHING else. On top of that if I want to claim loss of rent along with the damage I have to pay $1500 excess, without the damage claim I have to pay $750 excess. The annual premium alone is above $1500. The damage is under a grand, and we are now about 4 weeks in rent loss, but it would be ridiculous for me to make a claim, as it's so costly!

Many years ago, I held landlord insurance with RACV, and I had a terrible tenant. RACV took such good care of me, and would may loss of rent immediately and all the malicious damages with minimal excess.

The loss from unpaid bills and cleaning by the tenants are payments aside from rents that costs us and is also out of our control. You would think, that logically this is where insurance would cover you, but not just that they don't, they jack up the excess so that it's not worth the claim.

Never have I ever signed up for such a terrible product, I feel scammed and this is no difference to AAMI robbing their customer's money. What a disgusting product. They cover you for nothing, and made sure that the excess is so high so that it's not easy to make claims. What an unethical insurer.

The only silver lining here is I have only been with them for 2 years. So I am getting the hell out of being with them, and would not recommend anyone to join them.

what they like to their so called reports. Not only this they’re very rude people no level of understanding and care for what their customer is going through. Aami needs to get hire better employees cause at this rate no individual who has gone through the claim process will ever be their customer and will make sure to spread the word. Please do better and stop the false advertisement.

19/12, they claimed they never received it, but they towed my car to another repairer. On 09/01, rang them again, they said they are investigating coz they could not find my car. On 12/01, the new repairer rang me saying they found the car and subbmitted the assassesment same day. Till now, no response from AAMI.

Update: the case was solved after 2 weeks, no drama.
