Honestly been with aussiebb for about 5 years and thought they were the best but lately they are just a rip off. paying $95 for 500/50 is crazy when… Read more
competitors are $80. i had a tech issue and their "experts" told me 170mbps is the max for wifi, i'd only get 500mbps with an ethernet cable plugged directly into my laptop, but laptops dont come with ethernet ports anymore. the tech support [Name Removed] even said she only gets 200mbps at her place, what a joke. i had to go into my own router settings and fix the 5ghz band myself and now i'm hitting 540mbps on my phone. shows how much their tech support actually knows. the final straw was the complaints manager [Name Removed] (who introduced themselves as Ozzie). instead of just admitting they messed up or offering a real discount for the hassle, i got hit with these massive emails just passing the buck and blaming my gear. if they just said sorry and gave me a one off $20 for my hassle i probably would have stayed but the attitude was enough for me. also if you do the nbn fiber upgrade be prepared for non stop spam. texts, calls, emails... it was like harassment. then when you want to leave they tell you to call a "retention team" on monday morning. why would i waste my time on hold to beg for a price that leaptel gives me upfront? leaptel setup was instant, i'm getting 540mbps and best of all i can pay via bpay. aussie forces you into direct debit which i hate. saves me $15 a month and i dont have to deal with the scripted support. definitely wont be back.

Ordered a New SIM card on 29 January... I'm still waiting (today is 13 Feb)... Called for support and it's not their problem. I need to deal with AusPost (tracking shows the SIM card has been travelling around Melbourne between 30 Jan - 12 Feb, it's still in Melbourne & I live in Sydney)..
Even after the call for support, I'm still receiving sms messages from Aussie Broadband telling me to Activate the SIM or it will be disabled... How can I activate a SIM that has not been delivered yet!!!
Surely they are smarter than this???

virtually every month. I attempted to correct the package over the phone several times, but I kept getting transferred from one call centre to another and was asked for all my identifying information every time. It seems that the call centres are located overseas where Australian privacy and security rules and laws do not apply, thus allowing call centre operators to freely trade personally identifying information with trackers, hackers, spies and data broker world wide.
In order to avoid taking responsibility, they send Emails from Mr & Mrs No Reply so that you cannot directly question the contents, this way you will need to call their overseas based call centres, keep providing names addresses, dates of birth, driver license numbers and so on before you mention the No Reply message and hope that one of the several the overseas operators can find it and handle it.
Time for me to look for a decent provider!

initially told me to call as they only deal with personal accounts. When I reiterated that I was unable to call without a SIM card they processed an order for a new one and I was told 1-2 business day for dispatch. By the end of the 3rd business day I contact their online chat team again to see what was happening and was told it was still being processed and would be sent within 48 hours - pushing the dispatch to 5 business days.
On the 4th business day when I enquired about esims and compensation I was again asked to call the business team? When I questioned how I was supposed to do that they told me to borrow a phone. I don’t know how I can do that when I work from home alone? This was the day I was finally given an email address to contact the business team.
I did email them and was told to call again for the 3rd time after I complained about being asked to call twice.
I was informed I would be updated regularly but have had no updates the last 2 business days.
I am now on the 7th business day since being told 1-2 days and there is still no dispatch notification of my replacement sim.
