advised the failure was caused by gecko ingress.

For an outdoor unit installed in Queensland, where geckos and similar pests are common, I found this concerning. I was advised the issue was not covered under warranty, resulting in repair costs of around $1,000. I was also invoiced $275 for a service call to diagnose the fault.

I found the warranty and service process difficult to navigate, communication was disappointing, and resolution took considerably more effort than expected.

Based on my experience, I would carefully consider after-sales support, warranty coverage and long-term ownership costs before purchasing.
