I am a male and doing ironing.... Surprise.... Using this ironing board is horrid. Firstly it is heavy to maneuver, second setting it up always ends… Read more

at the max height. Storage folds down so the board bottoms out on the floor as the legs are not as long as the board to parallel the legs before stowing. Walk it back to storage the legs open again ie they do not lock in stowage position. Have to restow. I am left handed, designed for right hand people. Read the manual, complied and found it to be an absolute heap of rubbish. There's a couple of hundred gone.

We got the stainless steel totem bin which is a nice looking bin but unfortunately less than 10 months later the lid mechanism has become faulty… Read more

meaning we have to bang the lever for the lid to open. The lid mechanism seems to be a common problem for this bin. When I contacted Joseph Joseph for warranty support they advised as we had purchased it through Myer we would have to go through Myer for support. Unfortunately, we would need to post it back to Myer for them to assess the issue so for now we are hoping that hitting the lever will continue to open the lid. For such an expensive bin we would have expected better quality.

Disappointing pocket board but good service – I initially really loved it as its portable and it fits in our small space. I liked that I could store it easily. The cover was building dust while… Read more

in the closet so I decided to give it a wash and stored it as we moved in my in-laws for awhile and didn't think much of it. Now we have our own place again, I needed it to iron some clothes but the cover for the ironing board wouldn't fit anymore. I tried literally 10 times. Support said it shrinks when washed but there wasn't any warning not to wash the cover and its quite absurd not to wash a cover if its dirty right? Anyway, atleast my experience with customer service Elisabeth was pleasant and she honoured the 2 years warranty.

- Food has to be chopped into a small block to fit. - Requires a lot of twisting action by hands and wrist, and upper arm strength, so not suitable… Read more

for those with issues in these parts of their body. - Leaves behind a chunk of the food being spiralised when you can’t twist it further. - Very small container so needs to be constantly emptied and another block of food reloaded often, even when making only enough for one serving. I don’t recommend this product.

Plastic bits in your food – You use the finger guide to feed the vegetables across the slicer, but when you get down low, green plastic bits go into the food from the finger guide. Emailed the maker with photos, out of warranty, no acknowledgement or response.

A great flexible silicone toilet brush – This was my first time trialling a silicone toilet cleaner. They are advertised more and more recently (as of 2023-24). This was part of a Joseph… Read more

Joseph bathroom set and I bought one with a light blue base and one with a grey base, for 2 different bathrooms.

There isn't much to it. A solid sleek white base with colour coded base, and a toilet wand which has the silicone at the base in the colour of choice and a solid white plastic handle.

No negatives. It cleans as intended and has the flexible head. It does not flick water around like the traditional nylon stick brushes. Very civilised.

Looks great and still does after three years — no fading and it is very durable. The design isn’t as practical as it seems. The large bowl handles… Read more

get very hot (steam vents through them), and liquid can leak out, so you need to underfill to avoid a mess.

The bigger issue is the cooking guidance. It’s unreliable. Follow it and you’ll overcook most things — the rice recipe is a good example. One cup comes out burned and completely solid (see pics).

Broken already – Clips to hold the top down break off too easily, second time refilling and it is already broken. Poor design.

Congratulations and five stars to Howards Storage for their excellent orientation to in store customer support and explaining / participating in… Read more

warranty support for products they retail.

Brickbats and one star to Joseph Joseph online customer support for steadfastly ignoring my attempts to access their online warranty support for a product of theirs. They forecast a slow response. However, I have received no response.

I purchased a Joseph Joseph soft close rubbish bin where the soft close mechanism failed after around two months of domestic use. I made the purchse onlne with Amazon due to the favourable pricing at the time. When I attempted to access customer support for my product which had failed, Amazon flicked my contact immediately to Joseph Joseph, which is where the problem lies. As far as I can see so far, there is only email contact for this support. Joseph Joseph customer service acknowledged my contact. However, have done nothing. I followed up online, and again nothing back from Joseph Joseph.

I needed a replacement bin and purchased one from Howards Storage who made it clear that they were the first port of call in store for resolution of any problems for products they sell.

I am optimistic that Joseph Joseph customer support will eventually address my warranty claim. I will persist. To date, Joseph Joseph online customer service has been appalling.

In the meantime the message is very clear that a physical store presence will maximise the opportunity of customer service engagement and facilitate rectification of any problems with products purchased from their store.

Thanks again to Howards Storage.

Sturdy and easy to use can opener – This can opener is easy for the kids to use as well. I do not hesitate to recommend it and it is worth the price. It replaces my original MagiCan… Read more

I bought it from Myer on special.

Scratches easily – The boards are considerably scratched from first use. It is designed to reduce cross-contamination, but clearly not to reduce ingestion of plastic. I… Read more

am not even sure what plastic it is as it's not listed. Also - while the idea for the tidy box of boards is nice, its not a natural move for me to put things away vertically - ie from the top (I am not that tall). I would prefer if it were open top and front). (if you can compare it to say - some knife racks need you to put knives in vertically - others give you a natural angle to put them in)

and with angled, flat grippers that double as flippers. A handy lock mechanism in the arms would also secure the arms flat and easy to store.

B-U-T when it came to using them. Alas!

They could not deal with any but the lightest items of food. The arms were not strong enough and kept twisting, the grippers did not grip properly and food kept slipping. About the only thing you could do was to slip one side of the gripper below a piece of (light weight!) food, grip and flip.

Luckily I got these on sale!

this perfectly and is a nice addition to my bedroom decor. I love the pull out laundry bags that you can just carry to the washing machine and empty straight in. So easy! Some online reviews had mentioned that the assembly of the product was difficult in regards to pulling the outside material cover over the plastic end frame - whilst it is a tight fit, I did not find it difficult at all. I had mine assembled in 5 minutes whilst talking on the phone. The included instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend this product.

Space saving, brilliant solution – I had never bothered with a salad spinner; takes up too much room. When my old colander wore out, I replaced it with this product. It's excellent.… Read more

Use it as a colander in the sink as well as a salad spinner; also in the sink, with a suction cup to keep it steady. It gets greens really dry, works well as a colander and saves the space of having a colander plus a salad spinner inside a container that is useful for little else but catching the water from the spinner. Brilliant solution. I've had it for well over six months, use it regularly and it is showing no signs of wearing out.

Quickly tidy the bathroom sink area – Useful bathroom item for everyday use and storage. It has a choice of different colour bases with white. I bought 2 sets, one for each bathroom. … Read more

One being a lighter blue, and one being grey.

There are 5 deep sections, which can hold toothpastes, combs, electric or normal toothbrushes, hand held flossers, etc. The separator plastic divider can be taken out to clean. Very useful.

My first thought is that it is compact, well presented and chique, with no manufacturing blemishes or errors. It easily decluttered my busy bathroom counter tops.

Only one negative would be that it would have been easier to have it slightly wider for the section on one end which is raised, so that more smaller items can be added in the more shallow section. Such as small round hair brushes for guys, tooth floss, tooth picks, orthodontic bands, teeth wax, etc.
