Tefal.com.au to enquire on the warranty. I was provided Ref: 07199498, but further to that.... crickets. JB-Hifi only provided 12 months, and surely these units should carry at least a 2-year warranty.

Another problem is the oil that accumulates and drips at the bottom of the unit. It is quite heavy to lift to clean it regularly.

Otherwise cooks well and presents a generous frying area.

After several efforts to reach out to Tefal's customer service before publishing this review, there is no response from them.

Fast and reliable – Bought the air fryer around 3 months ago it cooks food evenly all round we use it a fair amount takes a bit of practice to learn how to operate but is relatively easy our previous one had dial gauges.

same stage. The biggest problem with airfryers is the build up of fat in the upper fan/element area that you can't access to clean which causes smoking and potentially catch fire. The Tefal has a large and open cooking area with the element mounted a bit higher than the old Philips which gives a broader and more even temperature than the Philips as our Philips had a hot spot and didn't cook evenly. The Tefal also has a user manual and for the price of $149, I will certainly buy another when it's time to retire this one.

Dual basket. What a difference that made. This unit is easy to use and cooks like a charm. I cooked 4 pieces of chicken in the large basket and some chips in the smaller basket. 36 minutes later I was having a lovely dinner of nicely cooked chicken and crispy chips. The unit is well built and easy to clean with the non stick surfaces. I am very happy with my new air fryer and would recommend this to anyone looking for a dual basket air fryer.

Teflon coating started coming off, even though I always washed it carefully with a soft sponge. Even worse, after a few months, I found the fan was badly rusty and impossible to clean. Then, after about two years, the entire ceiling of the air fryer was completely rusty, the fan degraded, and the blades started falling apart and breaking! Unbelievable! Other relatives have different brands, use theirs much more than I do, and have never had this issue. Never again will I buy a Tefal air fryer!
