Giant Seek
Excellent easy bike to ride – Without all the gears stuff it changes smoothly and so easy to ride have had mine for 2 years and no issues if you can get them its worth the money Show details
Can't go to school without it – Found this second hand 2015 defy 2 on gumtree for 700. Have taken the train for 2 hours to reach the seller's place. Still worth it. Very light to… Read more
handle it. Particularly useful to me because I am studying in UQ and I have to cross the bridge which only allows bus and bikes to enter. The only problem is that I have to lose weight.
Amazing fast and comfortable road bike. I looked at this flat bar road bike as I broke my spine a few years ago and just can't bend the same. This… Read more
bike is a rocket and I love it. It came as standard with Shimano 105 which is great but I swapped this out for Ultegra as I love the bike so well. Came as standard with 700c x 25 tyres which I have since swapped for Pirelli P7 700c x28. The wider tyres feel heavier and a little slower to pedal but the bike computer says I am going faster. The only thing I would improve on this bike are the handle bar ends which are a bit hard (I will be changing these next).
As a stock bike its a very comfortable carbon frame/forks speed machine. I have tweaked mine a little as you will read.
Love this thing, gets me out most mornings.
Its a 2017 Comax 1 Giant Fastroad (the current Giant Fastroad is more of a gravel bike IMHO)
Giant Roam
Bought the 2024 Roam 0 Disc. I have been regularly riding the rail trails in SE QLD and northern NSW and it really rides well. The rolling speed is awesome, gear changes smooth, brakes are excellent and the ride comfort is great. Very happy! Show details
Great bike but – Powerful, sturdy, stable and comfortable w a long range. Comes w rack, lights and mudguards. My major gripe is the woeful power/trip computer unit,… Read more
especially given how good they are on other Giant models. It's badly positioned on the L of the handlebar, far too small and only one feature shown at a time, each one also far too small. You cannot monitor speed AND distance at the same time for example. Changing all screen views is fiddly, slow and frustrating.
I'm going to have to buy a proper sized separate trip computer that I can see clearly, which I shouldn't have to do on a $5000+ bike!
Excellent – Very stiff carbon frame. Great bike very responsive and quick to accelerate. However tubeless tyres take some getting use to. Now components… Read more
are really good. BikeRadars bike of the year for 2018. Can't go wrong with Giant as they make frames for many other brands and they keep their best stuff for themselves.
Giant CRX1
Giant CRX 1 – A light weight bike that is best used for around the city and leisurely rides. Its a beautiful frame and quite strong too. I have both 2007 CRX 1 and… Read more
CRX City Pro and both are looked after well and still out perform lots of bikes today. I have upgraded the CRX 1 with an ultegra rear derailure from the 105. Light weight and efficient. Perfect for the city.
wonderful – Perfect amount of power in the ebike motor, the motor itself last very long and the suspension matches the weight of the bike perfectly. Show details

versatile and comfortable general purpose bike. Steering geometry provides good stability with a neutral and confident feel in corners, still quick enough for emergency change of course actions.
Giant seems to be faking their websites reviews so posting here – A few problems with the Revolt 2, needed to take it back twice so far. Gear changing can still slip, but the bikes usable. Stable and comfortable… Read more
at least.
I asked giant why they didn’t post my review on their website and they said they’d check things, but I actually think they are just suppressing negative views on their website, which is really disappointing. I’ve attached a screenshot of my review that they declined to post.
This is perfect – The Road comax is the first bike I have ridden or owned and it feels excellent. It's quick, light and easy to use and appears to be made of high… Read more

Giant Cross City 2 Disc
Very Disappointing – I would just like to share my initial impression of the 2023 Giant City Cross 2. After months of researching and test riding bikes, I thought I… Read more
finally found the One.
I just bought it a couple of days brand spanking new from Giant Brisbane. I test rode it around the block (which I wasn't really enough to ascertain its characteristics) and found it was more comfortable than the Fastroad SL2. It was on special so I thought, I was getting a good deal from the world's largest bike manufacturer.
I rode it again after a couple of days since buying it and I was VERY excited as this was my first brand new bike in decades. I have three other bikes (2 Giants and 1 Pedal, all of which I got used but in good nick) and this is my big plunge. Off I went to my usual routes.
At first, yeah it is fast rolling and nimble. But... the first time I switched from the gear 2 to gear 1 (front) THE CHAIN DROPPED. I never expected a brand new bike would do that! Good thing I was just on the footpath; if I was on the road it would have been disastrous not to mention embarrassing. I wasn't even 5 kms on my riding!
Soon after, I thought it had a head shake. When I used the front brake I could feel like something wasn't right, I stopped to check and found that the front wheel was playing sideways! I looked at the QR skewer and reset it to try and make the shake disappear (it did).
I am not an aggressive rider and probably if I had to do some zig moves, I would have broken the BRAND NEW bike into half! Maybe it was the front derailleur (Tourney) and the cheapo front hub (no name)?
Needless to say, my first impression was utterly disappointing and to a point, harrowing. The two older Giant bikes that I had (a Talon 2 and Simple 1 cruiser) had bulletproof reliability and way more plush ride. I never experienced the above and the Talon is 7 years old while the Simple 1 is three. Go figure.
I don't know if I could still return the bike but I feel I had been slapped. Not worth the $799 asking price considering it felt like it was just on par with bikes costing $300 less.
I am loyal to Giant because of my experiences with my older bikes and that was a very big consideration why I chose it over Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, and Marin. Probably never again.
Giant Talon 1
Giant Forks are disappointing – I was between a Trek Marlin 6 2022 and a Giant Talon 1 2022. Gear system and brakes almost the same. Trek has a M/L size, that was perfect for my… Read more
height and price 300 less but with a spring coil. Giant was offering the new Air suspension developed by them, and as a EX loyal giant customer that has had over 4 giants on the past 10 years decided to go with the Talon 1. It has been a great improve compared with my last Giant ATX. I had big hopes for the new Fork SXC 2 developed by Giant, but It just rubbish. 4 months on and fork doesn't lock anymore. Took the shop for the warranty hopeless.

Worst quality no warranty – I bought new bike for 8500AUD, just after a week all the DI2 system broken, took it to the store was told not their fault might have been a fall and the system is not under warranty and it takes months to order the parts. Show details
nice bike, but is it fit for purpose? – 6 months old , loved the bike geometry and ride, however riding down a rough dirt road I hit a big lump. I heard a loud bang and when i stopped to… Read more
look there was a crease in the top tube. Back to the shop who tells me giant is declining warranty , stating that it is a ding not a failure.
So a cyclocross that is good for smooth tracks.
Ordinary – Bought the recently released 2018 cross city 1 with hydraulic disc brakes. Paid $899. Never owned a Giant before, but i may have set my… Read more
expectations too high. For this price i was expecting reasonably high quality.
When i collected it i noticed the rear brake lever traveled further than the front before engaging the brakes. I questioned the sales man who sold it to me and he said that was normal. And that it will correct itself. It has not after 2 days.
I also noticed more free play on the rear brake lever it self.
It is a comfortable and easy bike to ride, but i am compelled to give it a bad review. The reason being is the fault with it is on its brakes (a critical part and fundamental part of safe riding).
This is the first Cross City 1 with discs. I would stay away this model and wait until the next release in 2018 before purchasing.
