utilising Qantas frequent flyer points and then the amount is deducted from my bank account and the frequent flyer points are still listed although they were to expire on 12 Feb 2026. Also we went on a Trip a Deal trip to Japan in September 2025 and we were told that 35,000 frequent flyer points would be credited to my account which did not happen. Now Qantas is asking me for all the details which I do not have because I expected Qantas staff to follow through with what they promised me last year. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and reflective of a Company internally which has major communication problems.

nights until he was medically fit to fly. On top of the stress, incurred thousands for new flights, medical costs, hotel etc. After 2 days on the phone & emailing both Chubb & their 24/7 team, found out Chubb only pays $450 after a $250 excess for change of travel even in a medical emergency, in what world is that adequate travel insurance for a card that costs $1.2k a year?!?!? The coverage from Chubb is a scam, the 24/7 global protection process created more stress than help, I was in tears on the phone with them multiple times think they gave me a nervous breakdown, the entire experience is damaging the qantas brand, I thought the lack of service from their non existent concierge team was bad, now with this traumatising experience with their insurance team, I will be cancelling this expensive stress creator ASAP, warning others here
Qantas Westpac Altitude Platinum Credit Card

BEWARE: Deceptive advertising – I opened a Westpac Qantas Platinum credit card in Nov 2022 due to the deal of !00,000 bonus frequent flyer points providing I spent $3000 on the card… Read more
in the first 3 months. The card was advertised on both Qantas and Westpac websites along with the Qantas logo and under the heading 'Qantas Platinum Credit Card'. Both Westpac and Qantas agreed I met the spending qualification criteria.
However, when inquiring why the Qantas had not credited these points to my account, I was told they were not Qantas FF points on offer, rather Altitude FF points and these could not be transferred to Qantas. Conflicting opinions were provided by Qantas staff as to the status of my situation: several times I was been put on hold for over an hour, my calls were then disconnected on several occasions, and I have found it virtually impossible to get through to the Qantas Complaints Dept. Through persistence, over 4 weeks ago I have made a formal complaint to Qantas, but I am yet to receive any response.
I have photographic evidence of the website advertising which existed in November. However, when recently looking at these sites again, I notice they have been significantly changed with the wording and logo having been altered. Surely, this is recognition of the deception and dishonesty of the previous offer. I have made a complaint through Consumer Affairs Victoria who have advised I take the issue up with ASIC.
My advice to potential Westpac and Qantas customers: DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PRODUCT
