The airflow is strong and dries hair quickly, and I love that it can switch between hot and cold settings effortlessly. It feels gentle on the hair while giving salon quality results at home.

Very easy to use but curls last half a day. User error? Show details
I love my airstrait! Didn't love the sonic considering how fast it died. Hopefully the airtrait won't dye on me any time soon. But I reckon I'd still… Read more
buy the airtrait again. It's basically a hairdryer but you don't need a brush. Comes out soft and smooth. You don't need to put in as much effort as you would when using any other hair dryer and a brush. I even stopped using my airwrap which I thought would be easy to use. The best tip I have for 3b hair is stick to small sections. I sleep with my hair wrapped and it looks great the next day. I only straighten the front of my hair with a hair straightener to make it look better in the morning. I also have a suspicion that my hair isn't getting as oily so I don't need to use it as often.

The battery runs out very quickly and if you're thinking oh I'll just plug it in and use it at the same time, no. The straightener cant be used and… Read more
charged at the same time, the battery runs out faster then it can be charged. You'll be left extremely frustrated that you can not do your hair and end up running late for work. Also when it does work, its okay, is it better then a GHD, definitely not. I do not recommend this expensive hair straightner, I'm having big regreats purchasing one.
Terrible product and even worse service… – Unfortunately zero stars is not an option, if it was, that’s what I would give it. There are people out there who rave about this product, but it is… Read more
awful. Sadly, I relied on those five star reviews when I decided to purchase this product as you cannot try before you buy. I felt comfortable buying the AirWrap with the piece of mind knowing it came with a 45 day money back guarantee if I did not like the product. I returned the product directly to a Dyson Service Centre two days after I received my purchase because I was extremely disappointed and sought the money back guarantee. It was there that I was informed my product is not eligible for a refund under the 45 day money back guarantee because it was personalised with my initials. I should clarify that the product itself does not have this personalisation on it, only the storage box it comes in. I was not aware of this at the time of purchase, and what is extremely concerning is that when you buy the product via the Dyson website, the purchase process encourages you to do the personalisation. With the benefit of hindsight this now seems like a clever form of marketing and entrapment on Dyson’s part. I have tried to contact Dyson to raise a formal complaint. I’ve tried via phone but gave up after 1 hour of being on hold. I then requested via their Messenger account (which is accessed via their website) to advise me of their complaints process and who I should contact, I’ve had no response after three days. The service representative at the Dyson Service Centre told me I would be contacted as I requested a partial refund to deduct whatever the value of the storage box is - two weeks on, that contact still hasn’t happened either. All I am seeking as resolution is either a partial refund or to swap it over for the Dyson hairdryer. As it stands, it is now two weeks of me going back and forth and Dyson are still in possession of my returned product! So I now have no product, no refund and no resolution of any sort! Considering it is such a ‘high end’ product at an extremely expensive price point, I expected a better product not to mention better service. I believe I am being fair and reasonable in my expectations and I have been left with no choice now but to escalate my issue with the consumer complaints commission.

The heat is low so ideal for sensitive skin and hair but I find for a professional finish, the curls don't hold. I end up using my iron curler or hair straightener instead.
I really like the idea of the multiple attachments. It does make blow drying easier as there's a built in brush. The firm brush is never used, the hair dryer attachment is great but takes longer for my hair to dry but I guess it's less damage especially when I wash and dry my hair daily. As for the airwrap function I only used it twice over the past 9 months...so is it worth it? Also the attachment wasn't for long hair. I can buy it for another $90+...
Overall, I guess if you want to style your hair and worry about burning yourself on curling tongs it is a good option but for $900+ I don't think so unless if you have money to blow. When it is on sale, it's approximately $697 which makes it a bit more reasonable.
SHOCKING UPDATE: Dyson officially admits they cannot guarantee product quality! Content: I received an official email from Dyson ANZ Customer… Read more
Resolutions today (see attached screenshots), and the response is unbelievable. After I complained about the structural gap between the filter and the body, Dyson's official position is: "available units appear consistent with the images you have provided" and "it is likely that any replacement will also have a similar gap." Let that sink in. A premium brand charging $700+ is officially admitting that their products are CONSISTENTLY DEFECTIVE and they CANNOT GUARANTEE a replacement unit will be free from flaws. Instead of fixing the manufacturing defect, they tried to intimidate me by mentioning warranty exclusions for professional users—on a machine that is BRAND NEW and hasn't even been used yet! Summary of Dyson's stance: 1. They know their machines have gaps/defects. 2. They admit they can't provide a perfect unit. 3. They offer a refund only because they've failed their own quality standards. If you expect "Precision Engineering" from Dyson, think again. According to their own team, defects are now a "consistent" feature.
