Mine disintegrated after a few years (using about once or twice a week for Parmesan), with the plastic frame first to go, then the very thin metallic foil began to split. For what the grater does, which is a relatively simple task, it is expensive (A$25-$50). For the price, there has to be some grater out there which does a equally good but lasts a lot longer.

terribly designed cracking not long after purchase. I take extremely good care of all of my products never been in a dishwasher and thought I was buying a premium product, lesson learned please see picture of another of my Microplanes coming apart. I rarely post but feel compelled to bring these inherent faults to the general public.

Terrible – Do not buy as it does not work! Not smooth, grates as slices, chunks off cheese at the end of the slice to slice is stuck on the plane. Took back to shop as it doesn't do what it should.  Show details
